“This place is clean. The bathrooms are very nice. We went in the afternoon so it was very quiet and calm. We came here for the boba and they did not dissapoint. It was so so so good. My friend got the matcha milk tea with boba and it had so much flavor. I ordered the oreo blended with boba, it is quite sweet but I'm a huge fan of sweet things. If you want more of a subtle sweetness I suggest the matcha. The boba came in a timely manner about 5-10 minutes. The women who took my order was very nice.“
“Love this hole-in-wall!!! First timers from LA and will definitely be back when I’m in Santa Barbara / Goleta again. Yinh the owner is so warm and welcoming!! She treats you like family. Service was impeccable and the fish is out of this world. Quality is 11/10. Everything melts in your mouth and is full of flavor. Highly highly recommend this place.“
“Other than the buss boy who made sure we had plenty of water the waiter was slow and intermittent. Was not really able to answer questions about the food. Plus I get the fact I'm going to a Japanese restaurant that shouldn't mean I need to speak Japanese.Parking: Like most everywhere in the city of Santa Barbara there is not enough parking. No matter how much the city planers desire people to abandon their cars it won't happen“
“I love this place! Been going here since I was a little kid. High quality food at a good price point. Would definitely recommend getting the love boat if you are wanting to try a lot of kinds of fish. I’ve had a lot of sushi in my life and I can certainly say that this is a great option.“
“Nothin like my home spot on Vermont near LA city college, space wise (its underneath a parking structure on UCSB) but every bit as delicious food wise! I work in Santa Barbara and was craving beef bowl and threw a Yelp Hail Mary to see if there was one in the area ... JACK POT!!!!“
“I've been meaning to try this place as it's in my neighborhood. Super glad I did, walked over for a fast & easy pick-up. Katsu Don & Tatsuta Age was flavorful, good portion size for both. Was very authentic & almost like home cooked. Would def be back!“
“I love sushi! I love good sushi even more!Sushi Teri has great food. The menu is about 2/3 sushi with the remaining 1/3rd comprised of Asian fair hailing from different parts of the continent . Most of the food, however is a rendition of Japanese cuisine.I was impressed at how quickly our food arrived (party of 5 no less) without any sacrifice of quality.Another perk... it's affordable. Good sushi and cheap sushi are different things. While I wouldn't call this cheap, I will say that it's not prohibitively expensive for most folks. Maybe not every night but even as a penny pincher I definitely wouldn't panic at the thought of shelling out for the bill here on date night. My recommendation: The sashimi dinner is a great meal for those who want to go light on the carbs. My favorite, however is the sushi combo. It comes with 2/3rds the sashimi as the sashimi dinner but has an assortment of sushi instead. I like it because I get the best of both worlds for an almost identical pricetag. Each comes with soup, salad and rice.Drinking alcohol at restaurants can be pricey but if you want to loosen up while you sushi up they have you covered. 10 bucks gets you a massive 36 ounce mug of Sapporo beer. Even as a person who doesn't like the taste of alcohol I still enjoy a giant crispy Asian brew with my sushi. So there you have it. Worth a go if you are in the neighborhood. I try and eat there every time I'm in town. I used to eat at Somethings Fishy in downtown Santa Barbara but switched because I liked Teri better.I don't know if He is still there but the last few times I went there was this old guy working the sushi bar who knew EXACTLY what he was doing. I think he may have been the owner. Anyway I thought it was fun to watch him work his sushi making skills so if you go by yourself or with a date (it would make for some great first date conversation during an awkward silence) I recommend sitting at the bar.Parking: Strip style mall parkingKid-friendliness: Bench seats, small rollsWheelchair accessibility: Ground floor, plenty of room for a chair, ramp up the curb.“
“Went to Sushiya in July while moving my daughter to near Santa Barbara area. The food was amazing and so tasty that we basically left the plates clean. But to our surprise when the owner found out my daughter was moving there by herself she offered her cell number in case she ever needed any help or have questions about anything. This was such a heartwarming gesture that we felt so grateful. Warm hearted owner with compassion for others no wonder the food tasted so good.“
“Excellent takeout. We ordered over $100 worth of food and it was all great. Chick teriyaki was good quality and arrived hot. All the rolls were fresh and made well. The service was top notch. They listened to all the special requests. We will order again.“
“Had dinner here last night, and was completely impressed! I wanted just about everything on their menu, which offers all sorts of options. The entire menu felt healthy and fresh, with lots of fresh salads. I ordered the green salad, which had a peanut dressing instead of the traditional carrot miso dressing, and it was lovely and fresh, with papaya and tomato on top. We ordered shrimp tempura rolls which were perfectly lightly crispy on the outside, not overly battered. The yellowtail sushi was fresh and delicious. The miso soup had a much nicer "umami" flavor than any other I've had in town. And to finish it off, we had freshly made Japanese donuts, served piping hot - ahmazing! Overall, the best sushi dinner I've had in Santa Barbara so far. Five stars, and we'll be back soon!“
“Really nice setting. Great service. We had spicy tuna on crisp rice and edamame for appetizers. The tuna and charred avocado roll was interesting. We also ordered sake and Sapporos. The chocolate mochi ice cream with berries and shaved chocolate was divine. The menu is limited, but perfect for a light dinner.“
“This is a nice traditional Japanese restaurant located at the high traffic corner of las positas and state. There is ample parking in their free lot. The food is decent. I usually just get sushi when I go. I prefer the shrimp tempura and the Hawaiian roll. One cool aspect is having dinner in one of the rooms. They are better than some of the other rolls I've tried. All in all I think there are better sushi options in town. This one is just ok. I love sushi, but I don't come here very often.“
“I was really excited that I found a Sizzling Lunch in IV! I ordered the kimchi pepper rice, takoyaki, and spicy wings. I thought the takoyaki and wings were pretty solid. The flavor of the takoyaki was really good with all if the bonito flakes on top. My kimchi rice was really good, I loved how much kimchi was on it! For anyone that is new to Sizzling Lunch, you order on a tablet (this can be confusing with all of the add ons) and your food comes on a sizzling plate. It's like your own personal kbbq plate! Service was pretty quick, and food was very good. I think this restaurant would be best for sit down to get the full Sizzling Lunch experience!“
