“This place is next door to Janet's, the food is of great quality with large portions. I had the rib special that was definitely slow cooked, tender and flavorful. One of our go to spots with a cool vibe. Huge selection of beers and fairly priced. The staff works hard and care about your dining experience. “I really like this sandwich shop and love that I can get a small sandwich and soup and it'll can be stretched to two meals. The sandwiches are fresh, the breads, meats, and they are not shy with the veggies. They also have a great selection of soups that is hard to find these days. You can order ahead online or in-person- either works and the service is fast and friendly.“

You guys were so nice as the band invited Jayson on stage to sing happy birthday for his 21st birthday!! It was such a lovely gesture and greatly appreciated. “The alexadilla is a California burrito wrapped in a quesadilla and you can clearly tell it is a quesadilla which I loved. It wasn't overly loaded with just fries. There was a good mix of everything inside. The meat wasn't SUPER flavorful but overall the burrito was good. The red and green hot sauces were both very good and had nice flavor. The girl who took my order was so nice and personable and definitely wanted to make sure you got what you wanted. Inside was very clean and the had seating for to-go orders that wouldn't take up the seating for people trying to eat there. The music was a notch louder than I would prefer but not unbearable. I will definitely go back to try some of the other items on the menu.“
“We love this place. Food is great, reasonably priced, and the staff are always kind and easy to order with. We like it here so much we had them cater our kids birthday party and the rolled tacos were a hit. Our favorite dish is their big rolled tacos and their albóndigas!“
“So glad that I finally made it to this bar after living in the neighborhood for so long. I'm also very glad that I came in with a regular who knew a person or two as this has a very "locals" feel to it. First thought that ran through my head was that it was much bigger than I had expected it to be. I didn't even make it to the other side of the bar, which is also sizeable. Service was quick and there were a few folks playing pool on one of the two tables that I saw, (there may be more) and it had a nice outdoor space for patrons to go to for a quick smoke or two. Prices were average and the people were friendly, and for that, what more can you really ask for in a neighborhood bar?“

Had a couple of adult beverages that were really tasty but the cocktail lacked the sophisticated flavor I was seeking and the beer cold and refreshing. The food was good full of flavor. The service was topnotch. From my perspective the only drawback was the style of music and the volume.“
“We visit Oggi's about four times a month. The food can be a little inconsistent, but we really like the weekday special menu. We always request to sit in Jessica r section, she is so friendly, and always has a smile for you no matter what her day is like. She is honestly the reason that we go back so often,also, it's very nice to have the option to sit outside.“

I don't go to a lot of bars but I heard they do a comedy open mic night on Sunday nights at 9p so I wanted to check it out since there aren't really any east of clairemont that I could find. “I was introduced to Regal by a friend because she was hung up on a guy who lived in the area so of course she found any excuse to appear in his neighborhood all prettied up on a Friday night. What better way to coax me into co-lurking someone? Oh I don't know, cheap alcohol? Well fortunately nobody endured the awkwardness of running into the man in question but I'll say that Regal may be La Mesa's one little gem worth visiting. I don't know if it's because I'm in my 30's but I prefer Regal over Coin Haus and The Hills. Why? Let me break it down: - Full service bar vs. beer only - No line out the door vs. line out the door - Mature locals vs. barely 21 IG content creators - Bar on the main strip near cute shops vs. the isolated bar up the hill So if you want the IG story tag with the novelty bells and whistles, the lukewarm beer, and the sub-par food, you go to Coin Haus. If you want something isolated and away from the main strip where you need to line up outside with all the Riff Raffs and Eminems, you go to The Hills Pub. I've done both a handful of times but I prefer the affordable and clean Regal bar where I can choose my usual poison then disappear into the patio. What else can I say? It's a local bar and it's not a bad one.“

“It was ok. A bit loud. I ate there. I only tried one thing. It was my first time there. I had a hamburger & fries with something to drink. I was surprised that there were several kids there because of drinking but they serve food which is probably why. Service was good.“
“A dive bar with a couple pool tables, a few TVs, adequate service and overpriced booze. The main attraction here is karaoke on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights. The locals are mostly friendly, there is an enclosed patio for smokers and the bathroom is usually clean.“
“The food is great (with the exception of the Kona Pie). I especially love the tortilla soup. The wait staff is friendly and fun. The atmosphere is a little loud for me. It's more like a bar atmosphere. The Kona Pie was just boring. The coffee ice cream was so mild I couldn't even tell it was coffee. The chocolate syrup was that cheap generic stuff. The crust was good. It needed a pop, like some nuts or something too.“

Servers and bartenders are pretty nice and usually are quick, though sometimes it takes a while for them to greet you or check on you.Food had always come out quick and I haven't had anything awful here yet. They are my jam!Drink wise, they have a plethora of options.It's not a bad place to bring your entire family if you're in the mood for sports and some yummy food. “Ordered the Ortega Chili burger with steak fries to go. It is a solid burger, tasty, and they wrapped the lettuce, onions, and tomato separately so it didn’t get mushy during the ride home. Loved it!The steak fries were not so tasty. Maybe old oil or whatever, but I think I will try their onion rings next because those steak fries missed the target.“
