“Ok. I NEVER write reviews for fast food restaurants because like why.!? BUT, thus El Pollo Loco was seriously so darn good. Juicy chicken, free Serrano peppers, and … wait for it… excellent service! I know right, when was the last time you had amazing food and service at El Pollo Loco?!? The beans actually taste like real pinto beans (not from cans), the salsas were good, and the fresh Cole slaw was awesome too. Would stay away from the broccoli unless you like your broccoli really soft. We’ll definitely be back at this El Pollo Loco!“

“I’ve been coming to Savoy Kitchen for a long time, and it’s still one of my go-to spots in the area. We ordered a spread of classics during our last visit, and while the food is still generally good, a few things felt a bit different this time around.

​The Hainan Chicken Rice is what put them on the map. The chicken itself remains incredibly tender and juicy, and the trio of sauces still hits the spot. However, the chicken-to-rice ratio was definitely off on this visit—there was a mountain of rice but a pretty small portion of chicken. More importantly, the rice lacked that incredibly rich, savory chicken broth flavor that used to make Savoy stand out from every other spot. It tasted a bit more muted than before.

​Luckily, the other dishes we tried held up their end of the bargain:

​The Bread: Served fresh and nicely seasoned, though it was on the denser side rather than being light and airy. Still good for snacking on or soaking up extra sauce, just heavier than expected.

​Chicken Pasta: A comforting, simple dish with plenty of tender chicken strips tossed in a light, savory broth.

​BBQ Chicken Pizza: Generously topped with thick slices of chicken, red onions, and plenty of melted cheese.

​Savoy is still a classic, and the meal overall was satisfying. I just really hope they bring back that signature richness to the chicken rice and balance out the portions again!“

“This spot sells mesquite grilled chicken as a street stall. Prices are reasonable and their seasoning is SO good. Very good street food.

Included is: Grilled peppers, some salsa which was light and easy to dip, grilled tortillas, pickled peppers and onions, Spanish rice, and some of the best beans I've had. Beans were smoky sweet and flavorful with chicharron inside.

Would come back for some bomb grilled chicken that's for sure!

“I absolutely love the flavor of this chicken. Great customizable heat. I've ordered both the mild and the medium and both are delicious. Tiny little hole in the wall so I always get the order to go. My only issue is the chicken portion seems to keep getting a tad smaller with each visit. Probably more a sign of the times than an actual complaint.“

4100 isn't a typical spot for me on a Sunday, but it definitely will be now that I know Nugtown will be there.

I've worked in the service industry and done local food reviews for 10 years across Detroit, Denver, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles. This is one of the standout spots, hands down. That is saying A LOT.

Hand battered chicken, everything made to order, and Mike will let you know exactly what you need without trying to upsell and swindle you.

I take my food, specifically fried chicken, very seriously and there is not one thing that I could suggest to improve. I can't wait to tell everybody!

“The customer service actually is what I liked the most about this place. I was welcomed when I first walked in, they friendly service and at the end, the employees introduced themselves with their name… something you will not see at most fast food places.
Not a big fan of spicy food here, but the chicken was good. My favorite was the mac n cheese. Definitely coming back here.“

“My experience at Ace Burger today was nothing short of amazing! I ordered the chicken tenders, fries, and corn on the cob, and everything was a perfect 10. The chicken tenders especially stood out—they had the perfect amount of spice and breading. On top of the fantastic food, the woman who made the food and the gentleman (I believe they’re the owners) were incredibly welcoming and thoughtful. Their kindness made the visit even more special. “This fried chicken place tastes much better than the one next door, and the food comes out quickly. They have many flavors for the chicken wings, especially the garlic soy sauce, which I absolutely love. The cashier is also very friendly. Very good.“

“I finally got to check this place out. I've been wanting to go since it opened.

I got the chicken and rice meal. It was really good! The only thing I would do different is ask if they could heat up my chicken. I was not expecting cold chicken with warm rice.

I got takeout to eat in my car but waited till I got home so I could warm up the chicken. It was much better. I loved the dressing and exhaustion those onions. Absolute perfection.

Staff was very friendly. The establishment is super clean. They were still baking cookies at 8:00 p.m. which is great for those who love an evening snack!“
