“While enjoying a delicious hot chocolate with a friend, we were pleased to meet Santa, who had just finished riding in the Montrose Christmas Parade. He asked us “Do you believe in Santa?” We replied Yes! He handed each of us a presidential dollar coin. Ho Ho Ho!“

“This spot is a hidden gem fr. Every drink I’ve tried here has been on point—flavorful, not too sweet, and the boba is always fresh and chewy just how it should be. The workers are mad chill and super friendly, always make you feel welcome. Whether you’re a regular or it’s your first time, they got you. Definitely one of my favorite go-to boba spots. Oh and the strawberry matcha definitely one of my favorites 10/10 recommend.“

“Damm!! I haven’t visited this McDonald’s location in a long time since 2012 or after! It has changed a lot the last time I visited! Sadly the foundation drinks were removed only asking for refill I’ve experienced it before! The staff were friendly with nice attitude! No problem at all! Dining in and of course the playground looks fantastic! Old business since 70’s & 80’s present! Never closed down or moving to new location! Feeling satisfied! I definitely comeback again for McNuggets, fries, burgers and sweets as well!“

“This is a tiny counter with serious espresso. The cappuccino art is consistently pretty, but I stay for the cheddar scallion biscuit—flaky with a soft interior. There’s a shaded sidewalk bench that’s prime for people-watching on Glendale Blvd. They remember regulars’ orders, which feels old-school. Great pit stop before hiking up to the reservoir loop“

“A cozy café with a Korean vibe. I had been following posts about its opening on a thread, so I felt a sense of familiarity with it. The dessert and drink menu were simple and not over-the-top, which I really liked. I was surprised to see more foreigners than Koreans, even though cafés like this usually attract a lot of Koreans. “I ordered an open face MCB on gluten free everything bagel with vegan cream cheese which was delicious. My husband ordered a white fish salad bagel on an everything bagel with scallion cream cheese which he enjoyed. We also ordered a generous side of pickles. The coffee was solid too. “It was awesome that I could say frankly speaking, Frank's coffee was awesome! The simple small spot between West Lake and Central LA made it to my long list of good coffee in town. Love how it felt homey with few seats, friendly barista, and pretty chill ambiance.

Top recommendation would be their Frank Standard, which was sweetened latte with molasses, brown sugar and cinnamon. It might sound sweet, but worry not as everything just came at the right balance. Besides, it gave extra caffeine kick featuring double shots of espresso.

One thing (prolly most important) not to miss was their 4oz chocolate chip cookie, which was UBER GOOD!! Freshly baked in store, it was so gooey that you would likely find yourself make some mess enjoying it served warm. Deliciously buttery and packed with abundant mix of dark and milk chocolate chips! Where have I been that I just found this place out?!“

“My favorite coffee spot in LA. Their Vienna latte is top tier but my favorite drink is the buttercream latte. It literally tastes like a werther’s caramel. The parking lot is TINY but there are meters around. The shop is also small with just 3 tables so it really is more of a grab and go place than a hang out.“

“Laveta is a super cute minimalistic cafe located close to echo park lake in Los Angeles. They have their own parking lot, which already is an A+. But since it is a small lot, there is street parking all around. They have really cool inside seating as well as outdoor seating.

They offer coffee, matcha and teas. But let’s not ignore the food they offer, which I highly recommend you try out! I’ve heard the burger is delicious but haven’t tried it because I’m obsessed with their Avacado toast! It’s literally the best Avacado I’ve had! Their coffee is good as well. I’ve had their iced vanilla latte, which you can’t go wrong with. I also enjoyed one of their signature coffee, the laveta.

“Yo, just hit up Dinosaur Coffee on Sunset and had a solid experience. Ordered a flat white, and damn, that Woodcat Coffee bean they use hits different—smooth, rich, not too bitter. The barista was chill, hooked me up quick, and the vibe in there was on point. Place is packed with freelancers tapping away on laptops, but it’s not annoyingly loud. Got a seat by the window, soaked in that Silverlake energy. The caramel brownie was a nice touch, super gooey. Only gripe? Parking’s a nightmare, but that’s Sunset for ya. Def coming back for the coffee and that laid-back, artsy feel. 10/10 for a morning pick-me-up.“

“I'd have to tell you last Friday I went to Lola's because my wife kept raving about how wonderful of a place it was. So I had to try it out for myself. A young lady named Abigail (who looks like Billie Ellish) and who just had this welcoming spirit and made you feel comfortable along with the rest of the staff. Once you were sat and you were able to go through the menu, I had looked up some items online and their food looked exactly as it was presented in their pictures. Even better, the food, it was absolutely, completely, delicious!!! The atmosphere made you not want to leave, and it was comfortable, it was inviting. They checked on you periodically to see if you needed anything at he same time, allowing you to enjoy the ambience of the place. I had the enchiladas and Arnold Palmer balanced perfectly. It's a good first date place. My date I've been with her 30 years Married and enjoyed every moment there, oh also our daughter was present.“

“Truly one of my favorite tea cafes in LA, they DO NOT have WiFi so please don’t come if you’re trying to get work done. Do come if you want to learn about tea AND NOT JUST GREEN MATCHA, they have so much more to offer. The staff is well knowledgeable and kind, they know their selection very well too. I come here to read and be present. It’s a sweet spot. I usually come and sit for a moment but you can also take to go as well. Try the vegan ice cream, try the toasty Sobacha, and Hojicha.“

While I was enjoying my drink near the window, a squirrel on the exterior ledge caught my eye. This little guy seemed oddly interested in my coffee break and kept peering in like we were old friends catching up. It made for a good laugh and somehow added to the charm of the place. Great coffee, friendly staff, and a surprise squirrel encounter – I’ll definitely be back.“
