“Incredible dishes! We started with biscuits which were warm flaky and heavenly with perfect butter. Celery was refreshing and crunchy - highly recommend as a contrast to biscuits.

We also got calamari which were perfectly crispy, I was not the biggest fan of the sauce, but my husband liked it. For main course both the rosemary chicken and the steak were amazing!

In terms of seating we got the table on the patio which had great atmosphere except for trains passing by. I think next time I would book indoor table, but we 100% want to come as all the food was incredible.“

“The valley's hidden Gem!! I heard about this place from my hair dresser months ago and have been meaning to check it out. I went there last night for my birthday with a few friends and it was worth the wait.
Such a quaint classic place with amazing wine from Napa, and the cheeses were out of this world-delish! Make sure you order the warm baguette, its a perfect compliment to the cheeses. I’ll tell ya, the wine and food was pretty amazing, but if you don’t have the right staff, then a place could fall short. The 2 guys that run it made the experience top notch! And the ghost playing the piano against the wall was an added bonus! :-)

Jeff, the bartender/server/sommelier with a past in the entertainment industry was fun, informative, and accommodating-and running the entire front establishment on his own.Outstanding customer service and never made anyone feel ignored. Hats off to Jeff! Definitely listen to his suggestions-he knows wines and cheeses. Then you have Nick, the soft spoken, former drama teacher now turned chef who delivers the entrees in the most respectful manner. Come to find, this guy was the lead role in Les Miserable with a voice that would put Hugh Jackman to shame! We got to hear/see a clip of his performance. I guess if you stay till closing, you get to know the employees.
Both men were exceptional in service and knowledge, and the food and wine were perfection! Cant wait to go back“

“I don't remember what I ordered (there was more than what is pictured) but this was such a great food experience, accompanied with an orange wine. The bar seating is a little tight and awkward but at least the staff was great, food was delivered in a timely matter and it was all so delicious.“

We took two friends for a belated birthday dinner (and as the staff realized it was just that, they even rewarded us with a delicious birthday dessert :-). “So, I was not expecting to have a beer while perusing a nee bookstore this weekend, but lo and behold! I desperately needed to charge my dying phone, and couldn’t find an outlet anywhere in the book aisles. So I stumbled across The 1894, and was immediately greeted by the friendly staff. Their happy hour is awesome- a french pilsner for only $6! And the staff went out of their way to accommodate me near an outlet where i can drink and charge my phone. Again, was not expecting this pleasant bar, but will def be back!“

“I just want to say how much I love coming to Dargenzio Winery. The owner and his staff are always very welcoming. The food is excellent. I love the ravioli and pizza. Filippo, the owner knows his Italian wines very well and does an excellent job with the pairing of the wines with the food, so definitely ask for him and ask him to do that for you.Dargenzio Winery also has a good amount of outdoor space, which is a plus in these times. “Delicious from start to finish. We ordered the Caesar Salad, Burrata, Meatballs, Pork Belly, and tiramisu, and everything was excellent—well-prepared, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The meatballs were especially memorable, and the tiramisu was the perfect way to end the meal. Add a little burrata to a bite of the meatballs for a perfect bite.
The wine selection complemented the food beautifully. They were also very accommodating when we needed to adjust our reservation time, which we appreciated.
Service struck the right balance—attentive without being overbearing. Claudia was friendly, knowledgeable, and helped make the experience even better.

“We've been attending a handful of concerts at Hollywood Bowl this year. We loved Fattoush Salad (different recipe from how our family makes Fattoush Salad) but was delicious! The Lamb Chops were OK, but Spanish Fried Chicken was just fried, you can't taste or see any chicken meat inside. I have a feeling all vegie dishes here might be delicious, but not the ones with any meat. Service and atmosphere were amazing! We will go back to try different dishes, but for sure to have the Fattoush Salad.“

“I first tried Pizzana when I was taken out for my 21st birthday a couple months ago. After realizing I couldn’t eat much anymore, a lot of alternatives made me nervous. But Pizzana’s vegan, gluten-free pizza was something I genuinely couldn’t stop thinking about.
Yesterday, I decided to order it online. I messed up my order and tried to fix it through Uber Eats, but the wrong one had already been sent out. Shortly after, Pizzana called me back and took care of everything with me. They were patient, kind, and incredibly compassionate.
When I showed up, my pizza was ready. The entire staff was overwhelmingly kind. The manager even apologized and thanked me for choosing Pizzana.
I’m being completely honest when I say I came home and cried. It’s rare to feel that cared for as a customer, especially when food can be such an emotional and stressful thing. “We absolutely adore this neighborhood wine shop. Haley is super knowledgeable about wine and always makes fantastic recommendations. She sources a lot of wine from smaller vineyards so there's always something unique. Her overall curation of the shop is fantastic, and she works so hard to create a fantastic community space as well. The shop often hosts events and game nights for the local community, and when there aren't events going on, it's still a great place to buy a bottle, grab a glass, and catch up with friends (or on work). As an added bonus, there are usually 2-3 cute dogs hanging out in the space :)“

Edward and Rachelle hosted a wonderful evening of fine wines and very tasty treats. I use the word hosted because they make it feel like you are in their home... very gracious and attentive. The patio was decorated with lights, nicely dressed tables, a wine bar, sound system and more. I booked it for 2 hours, but they didn't hold us to a clock... Everyone raved. Only thing I would change is to have it a little quieter. But our four-top could still converse well.“

“Came on down to Thunder Road on my way to Brokeback Mountain. Boom, this place has it going on… I’m a coffee shop enthusiast, I try as many as I can, and I’m picky about where I return. The vibe is the perfect balance of cozy (but not dark or dusty), homey (but clean and 0% boring). No matter where you sit, it’s cozy. Those industrial, hard-seat coffee shops cannot even kiss my assbecause I’m sitting here instead.
Whoever did the design in here is amazing. It’s got the calming color palate of nature with the edge of motorcycle getup (kinda like the feeling of cruising through SoCal landscapes with the wind in your hair). The coffee is good and reasonably priced, and it’s the kind of place people come back to. You can tell there are a bunch of regulars who frequent here. This place isn’t trying to be anything, it just is.

“What a hidden gem! This small quaint restaurant delivered some of the best food we had while visiting Pasadena. The flavors in the sauce (basil, olive oil and something else yummy) that surrounded the burrata were absolutely delicious! The lamb/beef/pork bolognese sauce on the spaghetti as well as the duck was excellent. Portions are definitely generous and shareable. Our only regret is we didn’t save room for dessert! Despite being there during the Rose Bowl with lots of people, the service was excellent! So glad we stumbled upon this restaurant via Resy, we’ve saved it in case we come to Pasadena again!! Bravo!!!“
