“We were walking around La Jolla and found this spot. The person serving was very kind and I don’t think I’ve ever had a gyro that had so much filling/meat! The Gyro fries were amazing too and the restaurant had calm vibes. Our food was served very fast too.“

“The flavor of the chicken and veggie kabobs are simply amazing at this place! Even my 10 year old son said it was the best he ever had. He gobbled down the zucchini and squash that was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The hummus is equally amazing with the pita and rice. This is my go-to place for lunch or dinner!“

“We had a great time at The Bella where we celebrated our advisor's retirement. They were very kind to open on Saturday and cater for our party of 25. And that was on a short notice too.
The place is very nice, gave us the privacy we wanted for our event. The staff is also great, starting with Tamara, the events manager. It was a joy to work with her and she made things easy for us.
If I have to make a suggestion, that would be for the food warmers that were not as effective, but that was really minor.“

“We visited this restaurant for the beautiful terrace, and it absolutely delivered—spacious, charming, and perfect for a relaxing evening. The atmosphere was lively but not too loud, making it a great spot to unwind. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout the night, which really added to the overall experience.
The starters were a pleasant surprise—flavorful and well-prepared, with the Brussels sprouts standing out as a real highlight. Unfortunately, the mains didn’t quite live up to the setting. Both the filet mignon and the chicken were overcooked, which was disappointing given the quality we expected.
Overall, a great place for drinks, light bites, and a beautiful terrace evening—but if you’re going for the main courses, you might want to manage your expectations.“

“One of my favorite spots in SD. It is a family owned and operated spot filled with great food and charisma. The owners and staff and incredibly friendly, and the food is made with lots of love. My personal favorites are the breakfast burrito with gyro and the gyro burger. Would recommend!“

“I enjoy my morning coffee and breakfast so much. The desserts in the coffee shop are so delicious. In the evening I like the cocktails. I love the fig and prosciutto flatbread, the salads, kung pao calamari, and the chicken. I haven’t tried all of the new chef’s new menu items, but I will.“
