“The cashier/food runner Rebecca is extremely insincere and frankly bad at her job. I asked for her name just so other customers can avoid an unpleasant interaction. The other employee were honestly very kind and helpful. I had asked Rebecca for a refill just to have her tell me to ask her coworker. She then proceeded to go behind the counter and flirt with the clearly uncomfortable male employee who ended up actually providing my group with satisfactory service. Food was amazing and the restaurant itself is very clean and well operated aside from the one unpleasant employee. I won't be giving one star because everything else made up for it.“
“Updating my review as I fondly remember my visit here more than a year ago. Best restaurant I've ever been to. Got a table by the kitchen and the chef working there was wonderful to talk to. Top notch service, amazing staff. I've never had a better culinary experience. Hope to return here soon.“
“Absolutely delicious! Wolf in the Woods has become a favorite spot for me. From appetizers to desserts, every dish is bursting with flavor and creativity. The ambiance adds to the experience, making it perfect for a cozy dinner or a special occasion. I highly recommend trying their menu – you won't be disappointed!“
“The menu isnt extensive but has classic pasta and starter dishes. We started with the classica bruscetta and buschetta prosciutto & fichi, and the classica bruschetta was my favorite. The freshness of the tomatoes and flavor of the pesto was impeccable. We tried the cheese wheel pasta that comes with special pasta of the day (gnocchi with mushrooms and truffle) tossed in a cheese wheel and served in a pan. It was on the heavier, creamier and cheesier side and i would recommend it for those who are looking for a ooey gooey dish of pasta. Our server recommended the stuffed lobster and shrimp tortelli pasta. The sauce is creamy (but not as creamy as the cheese wheel pasta) and is made with tomatoes. The dish is topped with a big ball of burrata. We tried the espresso martini and cosmopolitan. The espresso martini had more of a strong coffee than bold liquor flavor, but the cosmopolitan was a little sweet and boozy. Overall, it was a solid meal and be prepared for a food coma afterwards. The interior is beautiful with wine bottles, paintings and pictures hanging on the wall. Street parking is the way to go. Our server was friendly, and the portions are generous for its price point.“
“Amazing little restaurant tucked away in the Horton Plaza. There isn’t anything negative to say! Everything from the atmosphere, food menu and most importantly, the service was amazing!! Highly recommended as a must visit if you are vacationing or simply passing through the area to a must if you live or frequent the area. Menu had simple selections and everything from the appetizers to entrees were perfectly timed. My only wish is to be able to bring it to the East coast! We will be back ❤️.“
“Definitely make a reservation. Totally hip place. Great service. Food is OK. Sadly, the swordfish was not tasty at all. In fact, it was very watery. Definitely not five star tries to be a little too Fancy and a little too much seasoning. And a whole lot of smoky of everything. Cocktails are incredible. Bartender was so good. Decor is just basic. But it’s a very busy place with a really nice little patio out front.Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly based on menu and Quaintance of the restaurant maybe at lunchtime it is but not for dinner“
“I came to this restaurant base off the reviews, they did not fail me. This restaurant has amazing service, my waiter talked to us about the whole menu, had conversation with us and even explained things. The food is full of flavor and you cannot go wrong with anything you get. The environment is clam, chill and relaxing. Definitely would bring all my friends here.“
“Ramen on a rainy day is always a good idea! My friend and I came here on a rainy afternoon and the place was busy, but YiLei did an amazing job at making sure that everyone was helped while providing great service. We got the Vegan Spicy Tan-Tan and the Isshido Miso Tonkotsu ramen , they were both delicious. The pan fried gyoza are a must!Vegetarian options: Vegan Spicy Tan-Tan Ramen.“
“Costa Brava is fantastic in every aspect! The restaurant staff is attentive, proactive, and welcoming. The atmosphere is lively and enjoyable. As for the food, it's truly outstanding - we particularly loved their grilled octopus, tasty clams, and delicious mixed paella. Booking ahead is a must, and I highly recommend it!“
“This is a go to favorite spot for my book club. The food here is always amazing and the atmosphere is lovely. The owner is a great person and helpful. This past year they were willing to host my book club even though they also had two other large parties (and it was raining). The service is always great and accommodating. The closed in patio is lovely and great for your pup. They are dog friendly! We will definitely be back and would recommend it to others.Parking: The lot in front is usually busy and full. The street spots are usually taken as well. If you go around to the back there is a paid lot with plenty of parking.“
“Great place for artisan tapas and curated wine PLUS killer happy hour till 6 even on Saturday. Their mango lychee sangria is amazing! Their take on traditional tapas was also quite refreshing - like the date hummus and the spicy aioli papas. Jason our waiter was super nice as well.“
“Quaint. There is no way to describe this little gem of a wine, bar and olive oil shop. You feel like you are in Carmel, California with the warm tones, the ocean view, great wine choices, and light appetizers. The service was excellent, friendly and responsive. We will definitely be coming back.“
“What a fabulous place for a night out on the town to meet new people or creating memories with friends and family. You won't be disappointed. This place has class and sophistication with live music and Happy Hour nightly. Since this was our third time dining/drinking here this week, we thought we would share the love and invite one of our favorite couples to happy hour. The GM, Rudy was very hospitable and Gabz produced some delectable cocktails. The food was A-MAZ-ING!! We ordered the Chicken Flautas served with a tasty mole sauce, Pork Belly Tacos, Spicy Wings, Beet Hummus & Crudite Plate. For dessert and the pièce de résistance we ordered the chocolate cake. This was truly an overall excellent experience and we'll be back as often as we can!“
“Enjoyed the substantial cocktail menu and that their happy hour deals are every day of the week. My cocktails were well balanced and served in lovely drink ware. You can tell the bartender knows what they're doing. Very few people on a Sunday afternoon, but a great spot with various seating options (inside / outside, bar / big table / small table) making it a solid choice for most occasion. Didn't try the food this time.“
“Really loved all the drinks here. Service was also so quick and great, very friendly and helped us with menu. I would say the drinks are super great, especially for price, and food is good but not super high on my list. I would say it’s worth it to go brunch here for drinks though!!“
“I recently had the most incredible staycation at this hotel! It's the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a relaxing getaway. The pool area is a true oasis, and the rooms are so comfortable that you might not want to leave. Plus, if you're feeling a bit more adventurous, there are hiking opportunities nearby. This hotel offers the best of all worlds for a memorable staycation“
“Park in the site garage, they’ll validate your ticket.Just order a pizza at the bar and take a seat anywhere in this comfy, spacious but cozy space. Service was amicable and thoughtful, and the funghi pie was delish.So-Cal chill vibes, lovely dinner, would go back.“
“I am a big Ramen fan and I've visited different places before. But this place is by far the best one. The food quality was amazing. The service was great. I kept saying it was so good that it is bad because now it is my number one Ramen placeWheelchair accessibility: Yes it is wheelchair accessible.“
“As you know, parking is always tricky in North Park but there is plenty of parking available in the neighborhood. The service was so quick. We got water and as we turned around our food was already delivered to our table. They have self serve water (plain and sparkling) outside. I love how spacious outdoor/bar seating is on the patio. The music was great. A great vibe overall. I definitely recommend giving this place a try if you're in the area and craving some bomb ramen!Food review:Underbelly ramen: (5/5) The noodles, meat, and broth were all perfection in this bowl of ramen! It was a good portion and the meat was SO tender and delicious!Tonkotsu ramen: (5/5) The noodles were cooked perfectly, pork was tender and flavorful, the soft boiled egg is always my favorite part, and the broth is delicious, I could just drink bowls of it. It's not super heavy and has so much flavor.Beef gyoza: (4/5) These were tasty, but there was not as much filling/meat inside as we like.Short rib bao: (3.5/5) The meat was very tender, but the coleslaw and spicy mustard didn't mesh well together in my opinion. I ate the meat, pickle, and bun and it was delicious. It comes with 2 buns, so plenty to share!“
“Love coming here. Delicious tapas, wonderful service, fantastic live music, dancing. It’s always such a joyful experience.Parking: In a very pedestrian friendly area. Parking is normally plentiful but will be a block (or more) away depending on the night of the week in paid lots/street/garage or using valet.“
“After dining at Buona Forchetta, I can't imagine enjoying pizza and pasta anywhere else in San Diego. From the moment you step in, the warm and friendly staff make you feel like you're family. They're sociable, upbeat, and ready to make your meal a memorable one. Our dinner began with two different wines. I'm a wine enthusiast, and I didn't snap any photos or recall their names, but rest assured, their wine recommendations are spot-on. The Regina Margherita pizza was a revelation. With its incredibly flavorful thin crust and the heavenly sauce, it was a pizza-lover's dream come true. The Spaghetti in Due Pomodori was, hands down, the best pasta dish I've tasted in California. With a simple yet tantalizing blend of organic tomatoes, garlic, and basil, it was sheer perfection. The nightly special, Pollo Milanese, was another hit. The chicken was tender, brimming with flavor, and cooked to perfection. And then came the desserts. We indulged in every option on the menu, and each one was a delight. We didn't leave a crumb behind. I highly encourage you to channel your inner foodie and savor each one, just like we did!“
“The food has gotten really good at Shanghai Bun. We have been ordering take out about once a week for the past several months and have not been disappointed once! The broccoli beef is a favorite. Tender beef, perfectly cooked and NOT fatty with crisp broccoli. Kung Pao chicken also a favorite!!!“
“My friends and I had an amazing night out at Side Bar on our San Diego trip in March. As soon as we stepped inside we were wowed by how beautiful this venue was. The cocktails were delicious, the staff was fun and friendly, and it smelled so good in there! The vibe was perfect and everyone was having a good time. My favorite part was when the bottle service girls rode out on a giant horse with champagne for one of the tables next to the DJ, I was not expecting that! This was definitely the highlight of our trip and we can't wait to go back!“
“Had a great time here. The sushi was impeccable and the service was phenomenal. Deanna was my server and she was knowledge about everything on the menu and gives off warm welcoming vibes. If you’re getting a drink Alanah has you covered and gives the best recommendations. Nice, warm atmosphere and the sushi was amazing. Would highly recommend to anybody.“
“Great owner, great food quality & tastes, but fix-its include: 1) sushi nigiri rice did not stick together so almost all our pieces made sadly fall apart with chopsticks or even gentle finger grip, 2) out of yummy lobster soup by 8:30pm, 3) sunomono needs simple rice wine vinegar sauce not overly hot & distracting spicy sauce, 4) needs to have simple Plum Wine by the glass or bottle (even cheap Takara from Berkeley good), 5) despite OT resy last resy times @ 8:45pm, the lady servers all HOUND you upon seating that now “last call for food as the kitchen soon closes”...how horrible, RUDE & UNGRACIOUS. The lovely & present owner Mitsu, a proud descendant of famed Mr. Ota) hopefully wants to make $$$ & welcome & keep his customers ? Special place, nonetheless.“
