50 Best Bakeries near La Palma

“Ye Wool Bakery is not like the typical fancy bakery but holds amazing nostalgic baked goods from the past. My go to is salt bread and soboro(?) which I highly recommend. The cashier lady with short hair and glasses helped me with those choices and I appreciate her a lot ?“

“The older Hispanic was top tier on her team she was working really hard to get our orders out . I appreciate her for that her other coworkers seemed to be moving really slow ! Unlike her doing her best and honestly holding it down at that place MS GIRL NEEDS A RAISE !!“

“We ordered a cake and cupcakes for my moms 90th birthday party. The cake and the cupcakes weren’t only beautiful, the were Delicious! Only thing bad was they disappeared quickly and I didn’t get to taste all the flavors! Thank you Patty!“

“Miss the old Portos. They had way more options including my Coconut macarons which they no longer have. Also with how busy it gets it's so crowded and overwhelming inside. Everything was still good but miss the extended baked goods. And parking is still bad... Waiting for my coffee they kept having us move when it's so crowded with customers and noehere to move to was a joke.“

“Extraordinary bakery on 6th & Ohio! Organic! Vegan! Delicious and a kind staff. Thank you Guadalupe for your guidance.“

“Food is good, service is prompt. A shame is parking lot is a bit too small.“

“Fantastic tasting and beautiful pastry shop close to Disney! Very fairly priced food and drink that beats Starbucks by a landslide. We got the Ham and Cheese pastry, almond croissant, Korean iced milk coffee, and an iced matcha latte! All spectacular! Matcha is a little on the sweet side!“

“My first time there wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Upon going in they had a nice little crowd, the staff was nice and helpful. So my box of 4 cookies $19 was brownie batter, not bad, could use some nuts walnuts, or pecans, . My favorite cookie chocolate chip also could use some nuts walnuts or pecans and cooked a little longer. Next was funnel cake. Kind of like that one crunchy, not sure if it really tasted like funnel cake, but I liked it. Then cake batter thins not too bad either.“

“I wanted to send something special for my daughter-in-law’s birthday while she and her family were in Disneyland. I found this fabulous bakery and selected them, as I loved their story l, plus they have a 5 star rating. They were so amazing to work with and did exactly what they promised. They followed up quickly and even had it delivered to the hotel along with information and pictures on who they left it with for her birthday. Great service, communication, beautiful cupcakes and they loved them! Don’t hesitate to call them whether you are in town or out of town like us! Thank you!!!“

“👍 have heard they are pricey but worth it. Can’t wait to try one“

“I visit Nonna Mercato once a week. They use organic ingredients and make consistently amazing food - their avocado toast, cappuccino and matcha latte are great! Pastas are good too. Highly recommend the almond croissant!

Really appreciate Brian for his super kind and attentive service, and for always smiling and welcoming folks.

Do not miss if you’re in the area!“

“Food is great and service is friendly. Aside from the great visual appeal of the space, the noise is what mainly keeps me from putting full marks. Due to the popularity, lines may be packed, so be mindful of your surroundings & please have patience if the employees can't hear your orders at the counter.“

“I love that it's never super crowded when I go in, a helper/cashier always comes to greet me within a few seconds, the vibe is always nice and chill. I love the large varieties of cookies there and they're large! Every cookie and small pie has been absolutely delish! I just had a small key lime pie this past weekend that SO good!“

“I absolutely love your Pastries, the Vanilla Oat Milk was a recommendation from one of the workers and it was a hit!“

“Moonbird Bakery was the perfect choice for our cake. They created a beautiful and delicious cake for my son’s engagement party. The cake was perfect and everyone was shocked that it was vegan and gluten free. They were quick and efficient with communication. You can tell they take pride in all of the baked goods they create. We will definitely be ordering from them again.“

“This was the best and my favorite visit to Crumbl. I wish I got her name but the girl who was there 10/18 at 10:15 am was the sweetest and so genuine. She was helpful, quick, and even shared a small talk while working on my order! That’s what great customer service is!“

“This place is always busy. We find seating there at the counter and we do not need to wait for 20 minutes. We love the bean soup? And the apple pie was great.“

“They make some of the Best Cookies in Long Beach. The Ube Brownies are addictive.“

“the product is not one to pass up and the owner is a fantastic person.“

“I was lucky enough to get a free sample of a chocolate chip cookie at crumbl and it was delicious! The young man who helped me out at the register was very accommodating and friendly! Here to try other flavors and I'm going to ask if they have vegan versions of cookies as well!“

“Popped into the Belmont Shore location on a Friday about 7pm. Seated quickly, ambiance nice. Casual pickup side and a dining room.
Interesting menu. Checked out the anchovies on crostini- the sauce overwhelmed the anchovy. The bread basket was delightful albeit you must choose either focaccia or sourdough. Why not one slice of each? Wonderfully toasted (with olive oil) but made me wonder why it was toasted as one gets butter and olive oil to dip the bread in. The lamb pork belly skewers are small but delicious and great with the tzatziki sauce. The highlight was the Panzenella Salad. The soft cheese, fresh tomatoes, basil and crisp croutons were wonderful.
Service was a bit mixed. Why leave us with 2 menus and the drink menu with so little room on our tables. Please don’t take away dishes that still have even a morsel left with today’s prices. I will go back.“

“The younger guy working the register was super kind and helpful. Explained which buns to get and what drinks were good. I got a squid ink hotdog bun and it was the best hotdog bread I’ve had. We also got a large strawberry cake and it was delicious and light.“

“Hey Brother Baker. Yes. Please.

The bagels absolutely rock. The pain au chocolat? WOW. But then came the turnover thing — excuse my complete failure to remember the proper name 😂 — and that may have stolen the show.

Fruitier than my best friend and flakier than my wife. 😂

Seriously though, everything we tried was fantastic. The pastries were beautifully laminated, crisp, buttery, and clearly made with some serious skill. The bread and bagels were every bit as good.

If carbs are wrong, I don’t want to be right. Hey Brother Baker is absolutely worth a stop.“

“We need to keep this place around.

Crazy good prices. If you need a solid go-to for cookies and donuts, go here.

I don't need anything fancy that's $10 a cookie. I need a good chocolate chip cookie that doesn't give me a heart attack. This place is it.“

“Everything is good. Loved the coffee“

“Hapa was the only cupcake place that had Champagne Cupcakes 🧁 and I called several other places. I was so excited to here them say yes we have some... and they threw in a extra one for us💗“

“The chocolate pistachio vegan don’t was the best I’ve ever had!“

“Quick service! Owners very nice!“

“Thank you so much for making such a beautiful birthday cake and delivered to Parkers Lighthouse which the cake was thought beautiful by even staff. Will always come back to the Creative Bakery. Thank you again.“

“OMG everything here is absolutely delicious! I kinda want to keep this a secret but I also want them to continue growing and be successful. Real whole quality ingredients with real butter imported from France and unbeatable prices.

The only downside is that they’re a little far from me which is probably a good thing otherwise I would be there everyday!“

“sus pasteles riquisimos y siempre muy amables para hacerle a uno sus pedidos muchas gracias“

“Friendly service, amazing baked goods! I was excited to bring my daughter (a vegan), but I had no idea how much I (an omnivore) would love these pastries! I'm not a big baked goods person, but OMG, everything we ordered was delicious!!! We got an Ube ensaymada, a pandan cinny bun, a crinkle cookie, and a pinapig salted chocolate chip cookie -- every one of our choices was incredible!!!

We are looking forward to trying more things on our next visit!! We're also excited to try some savory items.“

“Absolutely a wonderful Vietnamese eatery with the most flavorful and fresh offerings. I'm happy that I stumbled upon this bakery. I've enjoyed everything I've had and plan to try more. The owner is the sweetest and kindest. Everything is made right there.“

“HOW I GOT BACK MY HUSBAND I am sharing this testimony to partners suffering in their relationships because there is an enduring solution. My husband left me and our 2 kids for another woman for 3 years. I tried to be strong just for my kids but I could not control the pains that torment my heart. I was hurt and confused. I needed a help, so i did a research on the internet and came across a site where I saw that Dr Ozole spell caster, can help get my lovers back. I contacted him and he did a special prayer and spells for me. To my surprises, after some days, my husband came back home. That was how we reunited again and there was a lot of love, joy and peace in the family. You can as well contact Dr. Ozole , a powerful spell-caster for solutions on his page today #drozolespellhome“

“Che sen o Kim Ninh ngon xuất sắc. Bánh pate chaud ngon bổ rẻ . Chu tiem than thiên và nhiệt tình“

“Amazing! We’ve had this on our list for several months to check out but don’t live in the area. We finally made it today, and it was worth the wait! Better than expected. We got an assortment of pastries, so far the donut, Twix bar, and rugelach are amazing! They had jalapeno brioche buns that had sold out by the time we got there, going to have to go back to try them, along with the gluten free pizza.“

“Dey’s Donut and Croissant Shop is such a unique and refreshing spot! What makes it stand out is that it’s not just a bakery it feels almost like a gym café with an impressively large variety of food and drinks to choose from. Whether you’re craving something light after a workout or treating yourself to a fresh pastry, they’ve got you covered.

The drinks are definitely a highlight here. They use fresh fruit in their blends, and you can taste the quality in every sip. Smoothies, juices, and specialty drinks are made with care and never feel watered down or artificial.

On the food side, the donuts and croissants are perfectly balanced flaky, fresh, and flavorful. Pairing them with one of their fresh fruit drinks makes for a satisfying combo whether you’re stopping in for breakfast, a midday snack, or a post gym pick-me-up.

Overall, Dey’s offers the best of both worlds: a wide range of tasty, high quality options in a setting that feels energizing and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!“

“Good bagels at this place“

“Excellent, delicious croissants!“

“clean fresh well stocked big variety“

“I would usually try to skip a chain-looking shop like this, but these rolls are absolute fire. Hate to say I prefer them to Sweet Jills’s down the street but I do. I get that they aren’t going for volume sales, but I wish they didn’t cost over 5 dollars a pop.“

“Try to get something new every time and always always delicious and no regrets“

“Friendly staff and fresh, delicious food! Highly recommend.“

“-Study and work here every now and then on weekdays. Wifi not bad, 12ish seats inside, chargers included, open relatively late 10pm.
-Atmosphere is great, good hospitality even when there is mistake I notice the owner and other workers are aware of themselves and have a good attitude.
-Not too much of a coffee critic so with a medium grain of salt coffee ain't bad, have not had any issues.
-Karaoke and arts of music events in the back have happened every night I've been here and it creates a nice music community in downtown Fullerton.
-Would recommend for casual work and hangout in downtown, nice main piece of Downtown Fullerton coffee shops.“

“Consistently the best tasteful quality of products across the whole menu. This place been there for over 45 years. Jack serves the best recepies using the most expensive meat for each of his menu items at a reasonable cost.
The place is known for his take-out more than dining in . There are about 6 tables only if you had a small party of 4-6 guests.
There's no wait if you pre-order on the phone. It's ready every single time. We dine on and order items to take out as well“

“This place is truly a gem, the quality in these desserts is incredible. The only complaint my family has is the portion size. The cake should all be cut to fit the size of the container as this is standard at any bakery that sells tres leches. If not the whole container at least keep a consistent size, we have bought multiple times in the past 3 months and plenty for our family and neighbors to try the different flavors of cakes and desserts and this is the one thing that stood out.

Not to mention, the desserts are definitely overpriced in general/vs the local competition in Downey. Portos and Tropicana have a wider recognition in the city and a large clientele and their prices are lower across the menu. You can get a trio which is a huge slice of cheesecake/tres leches/flan for under $6 and here at Papa Churros a slice of either is $6. If people will support Papa Churros due to quality and taste at least give the customers their moneys worth.

As I stated the quality is great, they definitely have a good baker making some great products from scratch back there. I highly recommend but try to get a slice of something in person vs ordering online for pickup or delivery.“

“OMG I love #obrabakery the empanadas & potato ball’s are so yummy. The pastries all looked so yummy I ordered a almond croissant to go. I will definitely recommend and return very soon ….“

“The chocolare cake I got here was good. Borderline artisanal with the flower sprinkles, multilayer, and caramel top layer. $12 for a slice. The kitchen in the back looked organized and immaculate. I wish there was a note at the register for which zero calorie sweetners were used.“

“OH MY GOSH !!
That banana pudding ?!
Those strawberry macadamia nut cookies ?
That banana pudding tho !!! 100/10 !! I’m overly obsessed. I’ve had it sitting in my fridge for 4 days and it was AMAZING !!! I can’t wait to buy more !!“

“Industrial baking willing to do retail. Whats available on the spot varies daily. A better deal is to order one of their combos via the website. Individual bread pieces are fresh and generously large. Be prepared to buy and freeze some of it to eat. One last hint, right after turning at the handwritten sign, drive on thru all the way to the back. It is the last commercial building at the end. Don’t stop until you see the Melrose deliveries trunks 😉“
