“Came for lunch with my gran about a month after my grandfather passed. It was my gran's first outing since the funeral and i was worried but our server was this adorable silver haired woman named Rebecca. She had my Gran laughing the whole time. We ordered combos and the suggested jalapeño watermelon margaritas, which were spicy and refreshing. We needed a nap afterwards because we were too stuffed! My gran won't stop asking when we can go back. Thank you South of Nicks for lovely meal, and Thank you Rebecca, for helping a family member feel normal after tragedy. You are in our prayers“

“Wonderful experience at Carmelita’s Kitchen in Rancho Santa Margarita, I feel like we spent the day in Mexico having an authentic meal with a fantastic lake view. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great, and the service really made our visit special.

A huge shout-out to our terrific waitress, Hannah. She was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Jose, our server, was also fantastic—hardworking, courteous, and always right there when needed.

“This is a restaurant that I love to go to grab a fresh and yummy meal. My favorite is available with the blackened fish. It’s a simple bowl but it’s so good and I also I like that they have the salsa bar because you can add more flavor to your plate and if you like spicy you can add spicy onions, which are my favorite. They give it a nice touch to your food.“

Typically we get the 7 Tacos and a Burrito combo. The best part about these two is the tortilla, it’s soft but hold it’s shape. Next bext thing is that their asada is well seasoned and not dry!

“Quick and fresh. Loved our burritos. Seems to be more of a take out place. There’s two tables out front, one of which we were able to snag to chow down before heading to our appointment in town. The cabbage in the burrito gives it that crunch and the salsa is so flavorful. The steak was delicious too! I added beans and no rice for maximum flavor!!!“

Taste was excellent, atmosphere was great, sat outside, but beyond everything the service was remarkable. “I live in Irvine, CA but our two local Baja's have closed. We have a remaining one but the food, service and atmosphere is 1 star. They charge for chips, sauce and are begrudging with any product.
We drive to Mission Viejo to the Baja on Alicia Parkway and it is wonderful. The staff are warm and friendly and the service and food are great. Worth the drive.“

“The owner/chef is a nice dude with portions as big as his personality. For those unfamiliar- think home cooked “el pollo loco” if you will. His wife is the other chef and prep cook. I like simple food and the Half chicken with rice and beans is my go to since 2018. Local tip: this is a couple who’s been running the joint for over 40yrs, the husband is the only cook and sometimes his wife hopes over to help turn out meals. Sometimes the chicken is underdone when they’re super busy, but in almost 10 years I’ve maybe gotten 3 under cooked meats and when I bring it up, he cooks it more, sometimes throws in a free leg or wing and some extra guac or beans. This is as close to hole in the wall/family as it gets. For what this place is, I hope it stays Open until they retire or a son/daughter takes over. Think el pollo loco before it became mainstream, for a day I’m not feeling burgers, I love coming here and sitting on the. Lot of good fish on the menu too, makes me think Baja or south gulf. Very refreshing eats“

This neighborhood favorite serves Great Park, Lake Forest and local business with delicious Mexican food. Jasmine was very patient with my numerous questions and helped me craft my perfect breakfast burrito. A Mexicano Burrito with Shredded Chicken and added avocado. I love places like these because it isn't somebody just heating up sysco food in the back. It's an actual cook and usually a family who can make food using the ingredients available to them. So as long as you're willing to pay and to talk, just about anything is possible.“

“Forgot how flavorful the food is here. It has been a little while since visiting Wahoo's since my go-to is not a fish taco.
I had the Bonzai Burrito with Asada Beef. It comes with marinated veggies, which adds a unique flavor to the entire burrito.
The salads are also good and quite large.
There wasn't a long line and our order was taken quickly, we did wait a while for the food service but it arrived hot and as ordered.
The atmosphere is lifted with decorations that are unique and festive.
Prices are very affordable and coupons or online discounts are often available. Parking lot is small but there seems to be space near by.“

“A wonderful evening at Todos Santos with my wife. We were greeted by Daniel the owner and chef extraordinare who took us to a very nice table in the outside patio. We started off with drinks which were made by one of our favorite bartenders Jaime! The other bartender of choice is Francisco who had the day off. Kenya was our waiter and was superb, very personable and professional. We each ordered the appetizer salad which were so good. We spoke with Daniel about the fresh fish and decided on the Sea Bass for my wife and I ordered the Salmon and lobster plate. These two dishes were amazing upon presentation and even tastier than they looked lol. I must say since we began dining at Todos Santos from when Daniel took over this place has blossomed this restaurant into the best Mexican cuisine in Orange County. With multiple awards to his credit Daniel has new menu items that he creates regularly and now opens after hours on Tuesdays and Fridays with a DJ and dance floor. On Saturday and Sunday the restaurant serves breakfast from 10 am to 2 pm and the dishes are delicious. Make a reservation and ask for Daniel. Let him know George sent you.
