“O m g the food was perfect , exactly what I wanted. The chicken with the pomegranate sauce was sooooooo good, I even got sauce to go! The environment during a Saturday afternoon was very pleasant. Servers . Thank you I will definitely be back!“
“It’s in the LOCAL KITCHENS store front that has lots of small food businesses made in one micro foodhall set up.The pita and falafel and quality is still awesome, just more of a fast food counter service set up. Vegan falafel pita sandwich is awesome.Good benches to eat outside.“
“We have eaten here numerous times and the falafel (my fave) is always hot and fresh and they salads and sauces in the pita are generous so its a lovely full taste. We always take a bag of pitas home to use in subsequent days. The prices seem reasonable for the quality they serve. Just watch out for the aggressive drivers in the parking lot (shared with Trader Joe etc. - wow those Lafayette folks are intense)“
“The food here is amazing! We came here for my birthday dinner. We all got great dishes: my pork chop was tender and juicy, the crab cakes were excellent as was the flaky filo Mary's chicken. The desserts were good, not as great as the main courses in my opinion but my friends liked them. We got the bread pudding and the black bottom white chocolate banana cream tart.“
“Everything is delicious but the most surprising thing was the freshly baked pita. I've never had pita so soft and pillowy. I thoroughly enjoyed my beef shawarma plate. Dipping the crispy, well seasoned fries into the hummus made it feel healthy and the cucumber salad added a fresh component. It felt like a well rounded meal that left us full, happy, and satisfied. There are some tables and benches outside where you can eat since the inside is a marketplace. We'll definitely be back for more.“
“Overall a really nice, cozy, but dimly lit neighborhood restaurant. With uniquely organized small plate meals. They've stood the test of time. There is a lot of variation on seating; from a community table, to small 2 and 4 tops in the 2 window front, to a patio and then to a front covid style patio on the street front. Why a 4? Possibly the dim lighting, combined with the excess noise inside.“
“We love going here not just for special occasions but for regular dinners. Everything on the menu is delectable especially the Whole Italian eggplant with lamb, Gruyere, Marsala demi-glace! I highly recommend pairing it with a Pimm’s Cup too. The owner is always so gracious and is very accommodating when most of the time we don’t have recommendations! A true Alameda gem!“
“*Just visit again ~The food is awesome and really big.But it tastes a little bit burnt at the bottom of the wrap, I’m not sure how can I call it? Crust or tortilla? Also, the sauce is amazing too!For a Taiwanese, it’s hard to accept spicy sauce with strong vinegar tasting, such as Tabasco. But the sauce you have is just amazing. No matter the green one(Cilantro Jalapeño)or the red one(Fire Chili), they’re spicy but without too much sour.I believe most of the Taiwanese or Chinese or Malaysian or Singaporean will love the sauce too.I'm Taiwanese, and their hot sauce doesn't have a strong vinegar flavor. If you don't like Tabasco's chutney,I seriously recommend this one“
“healthy, nutritious, pocket friendly food. we tried the falafel wrap and the chicken shawarma wrap. they were delicious! they are still in the hospital early stages of opening so didn't have burgers and other items available yet. we can't wait to try more PS: their curly fries are addictive! so so good. def get the fries basket“
“I was very happy to find this Mediterranean place in Alameda. You order either a pita, wrap, or bowl, and then you customize it however you want. You can choose a protein then add the extras you want. Some of the extras cost extra, but there are also plenty of free extras as well. Some of the free extras (like beets) are pretty skimpy though. One thing I learned is there are different types of couscous. I've always been accustomed to the Israeli couscous, which are tiny pearl-like pastas. But here, they have Moroccan couscous, which is more like a grain. This tasted great in the salad. What we had..+ Chicken shawarma wrap - Very well put together and very tasty. However, it was a bit smaller than wraps from Kebab Shop or Halal Guys.+ Chicken shawarma bowl - I added a lot of extras, and somehow it all tasted great together. The hummus was quite a bit thicker than I'm used to. The texture wasn't conducive to mixing with your salad or for dipping your pita in, but still very tasty.Overall, this was a happy find.“
“Definitely not the friendliest of places I've ever been but an overall good meal. Service was quick overall and full of flavor. There was so many different textures, spices and taste to each small section of food on the plate. A good stop if your looking for some good Mediterranean food.“
“I’ve been eating at this place since 2016, I’ve never been disappointed my son my husband and myself are obsessed with their food. From the owners to the staff to the food to the place if I could give it more stars, I would they have the best Mediterranean food they have authentic recipes from back home Palestine if you are a lover of Mediterranean food, this is the place to go. You won’t be disappointed trust me.Nawell“
“I consider myself lucky to have been a patron of this place for past 5+ years, and can't say enough about how amazing The Mediterranean is, from top to bottom. Always friendly and attentive service, food is hot, fresh, and made to order every visit. Even at its busiest, the tables are clean and comfortable. One of the best places to eat in Concord, and I always look forward to my next visit.“
“Service was really great! Everyone was friendly and food and drinks came out quickly. Server was circling around the whole time, so we didn’t have to wait ever.Steak dish was good, especially the mashed potatoes. We also liked the hummus, croquettas, and the salad.Cute spot, cold inside though.“
“I have been seeing this restaurant for a while and finally decided to give it a try. We went there for lunch and it was pretty empty because it was raining but I still like the beautiful blue vibes around the restaurant with cute chandeliers which we're giving very Turkish vibes. For food we got lentil soup, pepperoni pizza (so happy it's halal), kefta kabob plate, chicken and beef shawarma bowl, beef shawarma wrap (which was loaded with meat), and chicken fries. Everything was super fresh and piping hot. We loved everything cause it was so delicious, fresh and colorful! Will definitely come back!“
“I was here last Sunday and got the rack of lamb and a glass of wine. The lamb was overcooked, the vegis were raw, and the garlic mashed potatoes were absolutely awful(no flavor, no substance like instant box potatoes). I didnt hate my meal and I'd love to come back, but for the price point I'd like a better attention to quality. I dinged down the atmosphere because a plastic tent is kind of a turnoff. The server that night was spectacular.“
“I came from NYC needing a perfect place to have a coffee and stare at the streets. Kind owner and they had epic amounts of the New Yorker. It made my heart smile :) Thank you for making me feel at home with a wonderful espresso and time with my husband.“
“Don't let the lack of a vibey vibe deter you from the tasty quick and no-nonsense items they dish up. I had the Thai Salad Wrap and it was super nice and tasty, simple and fresh. The peanut sauce was just as they describe it on their menu . . . I'll butcher it but something like, "really good peanut sauce." And indeed it was. It was light and punchy and I hope that's how it is all the time. Also, it was great service. She helped me decide between a Turkey Pesto Panini and the wrap. I appreciate that in the age of poor service/post-covid era.“
