“I’m from SC. I wanted to surf fish while here and brought a rod/reel with me on the plane. I’m here for 5 days total. On day 1 I wanted to try a local doughnut. I saw they had gluten free. I don’t need it but my kids do. I bought some from a dude in a flannel shirt. I thought it weird, but it’s California so whatever. I got them back to the place we were staying and we all sampled about six different doughnuts. 🤯 OH MY GOODNESS!!!!! I’m a Krispy Kreme lifer but DANG THESE ARE GOOD. Today I went back and bought 6 more. These are expensive so there went my fishing budget but it’s worth it because my kids and enlaws loved it. My father enlaw said the maple bacon should be illegal it’s so good. Listen there are a lot of choices here but if you are going to try just 1 or several this should be your first stop and if like me it will be the only one you need. I’m not big on California, sorry, but the only thing better than the weather and scenery are these incredible doughnuts. 🤯“

“I think that this DONUT STAR has literally the best donuts that I’ve had in Orange County!

I don’t know what it is about other donut stores, but their donuts are very greasy, even have a different type of dough, this particular donut store has light fluffy donuts, and they’re frosting is second to none very fresh

I've only been going for about a week now and my favorite guy up front already remembers little personal details that I tell him. I love how they recently came up with a smaller version of the apple fritter (they still have the original size, which is almost big as a volleyball!). “It’s rare to find a place that makes good yeast and cake donuts, but they were both delicious here. I knew when I picked up the glazed donut—lighter than I expected, and it did not disappoint! The orange glazed cake donut was bright and citrusy, and the blueberry was tender and flavorful. We also ordered a burrito and the Denver omelet. Burrito was quite large, although the sausage was breakfast links, not crumbled.“

“So sad today was their last day, the owners retired and I'm not sure if there will be new management or not, but ever since moving into a home nearby in 2023, my daughter and I have have become a big fan!

Their donuts have the best soft texture, their vietnamese coffee is Lee's sandwiches concentrate which is my favorite as well, and their brewed drip hot coffee is always fresh. “Called in a takeout brunch/lunch order, and it was ready in less than 20 mins. Lovely service on the phone and in person. I had the huevos rancheros (no chorizo), and my mom had the shrimp enchiladas. The food was fantastic—hearty, flavorful, and good portions. We also got a box of donuts that were very tasty.

This is the kind of mom and pop place I love supporting, and it baffles me that we have a chipotle in the same shopping center when we have an independent business of this caliber just across the lot. I will definitely be back!“

As a foreigner on an epic adventure I was withering away severely malnourished when alas I found the most magnificent abode. I stumbled on through the tall dubble doors and behold there stood the most noble looking man, and would you believe my luck when he acted splendidly magnanimous aswell. He, seeing my desperation, swiftly guided me like a wisp towards a most American looking donut topped with icing blue like the sky, an inert custard pinker than a maidens lips, and star shaped sprinkles reminiscent of the milky way. It was the most delectable confection I have ever had the pleasure of consuming.
