“My friends took me to Leona's sushi house earlier this week. It was last minute, for my birthday and we were able to get a table without a reservation! The decor and the mood was great. Lighting was sexy. I don't even mind that I had to use my cellphone light to see the menu. ?. Drinks were great! Everything was delicious. Especially Loved the Black Cod and the spicy edamame. She presented us with their menu and suggested some. My wife, daughter and I had a long discussion as we wanted almost all that was there, finally we chose what we really wanted according to what we can consume and we would not want to waste any. Waiting time for prep was acceptable, Briana was always there to make sure we were comfortable and ok. Food was served, and it was done as we wanted. “Went here 5/1/2024 for lunch serviceHostess greeted me at the door. Sat at the bar and got Chirashi and Hokkaido Uni.Chirashi comes with soup and salad. Miso soup has tofu and chives, house salad has great dressing mixed in and the tomato on top the skin was peeled, sweetness burst in my mouth! Delicious.Chirashi has a mountain variety full of fish. Comes with what looks like octopus, sweet shrimp, crab, salmon, tuna, chutoro, albacore, yellowtail, seared white fish, 2 sweet scallops. The rice underneath was seasoned with seaweed and pickled seaweed. Very tasty! Also the rice is from hokkaido! Really great rice texture!Hokkaido Uni was very delicious! Definitely a treat!Service is great! My tea cup was never empty.Will definitely come again and try their omakase.“

“Came here for some fresh seafood. You can't go wrong by coming here because the shoppe provides high quality products. It's a tiny gem of Noho. I got myself some scallops and shrimp. So worth it. “Oh man, what do I say about this place that other reviewers haven't said it already? Anyway, went to Cabo a couple weeks ago and the tour guide recommended a Mariscos restaurant right next to the beach. I thought nothing of it as I've been to many other type of restaurants here in LA. All restaurants are the same, blah blah. I was completely blown away by the aguachile and I knew I needed to find something similar here. I loved it at Cabo because, the shrimp was 'raw' marinated with lime but still 'raw' I tried Vallarta and it was a huge disappointment. One day doom scrolling on Yelp and I found this place. Couldn't wait, had to give it a try and I nearly cried. Whenever food tastes amazing, I always clap because I'm applauding the chef. I'm applauding the food and I couldn't clap this time because I didn't want to put down the food. I got the medium sized aguachile, a pescado taco and a camaron taco. The flavor in the shrimp taco was unbelievable. The batter was so soft yet, crispy and the cabbage with the dressing was spot on! Next time, I'm definitely ordering 2 of each. The fish taco was super flaky, seasoned. Amazing. The aguachile, I regret getting the medium, I should've went all the way to large. Extra large if I could. Don't get me wrong, the portions are huge. I'm by myself and I made the aguachile last for 3 days. I would've eaten it in one sitting but, I have jaw issues and I couldn't continue. The tostadas they provided was amazing. I'm said there was no avocado but, luckily I had some at home. Even tho the shrimp was raw, it was juicy and delicious. The service was amazing as well. Workers inside the truck were so nice, offered a chair under a tree because it was sprinkling lightly lol. Anyways, I'm gonna go back this week and next week cause I can't stop thinking about it. Take it from this gringo, this is some good stuff!!“

“This is a hole in the wall restaurant that seems to be a neighborhood favorite. There are not many tables inside, but they have a lot of covered seating outside behind the restaurant. Parking is limited, but we found some nearby at a strip center. 4/5 - Complimentary Tostadas: Served with pico de gallo, salsa and bean dip. Really good. 4/5 - Horchata 4/5 - Eggs, Beans & Carne Asada: My husband requested this (since it's not on the menu) and they made it for him. He was very happy. 2/5 - Beef Machaca: The beans and rice and tostada were really good. I didn't love the machaca though. The food came out to 3.5 stars. Service was friendly and attentive, so I will bump it up to 4 stars. I think this is probably a good lunch / dinner location.“

This location you have to walk in to make an appointment or just be a walk-in. They are so busy they can't answer the phone. The food is worth the wait trust. The owner is an OG. Glad one is closer to where I live and I don't have to drive to Northridge for the other location. I'm very happy with my online orders here thus far. they even ran out of a scallops and added an extra scoop of salmon in place- very happy that they did that. Food is always fresh and yummy!“

“I love Italian food and this place did not disappoint. I entered the restaurant thru the back, where they have very limited parking. There's more parking across the street. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted with all the wonderful smells of Italian cuisine. I personally love the pesto gnocchi. I also recommend having their lemon drop martini. It hits just the right spot after a long work week. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. Very attentive and can definitely recommend something that you will absolutely love. I will be back with friends and family. I found a new spot that I can't wait to tell everyone about.“

“If you are in the area and want great tasting Mexican food, I highly recommend Candilejas! I wasn't sure what to expect as this was my first time visiting and hadn't heard of this restaurant. The service was great and the food was delicious. I had the campechana and a michelada. I couldn't stop eating the chips and salsa as the chips came out nice and warm each time. I definitely plan to stop by again.“

“This is one of the best restaurants we know of. Not only is the food fantastic, but the owners and staff are amazing people. They are very kind and considerate, and very willing to accommodate large groups, or an occasional special request, etc. We've had several larger groups events catered by them as well and they are terrific to work with about these. And let me mention again how good the food is! They have a big menu and we've never had a dish that didn't look and taste great. They only have one outdoor table unfortunately, but poke is something you grab and go anyways. We ended up taking this to a street down (Black Elephant Coffee) and eating our meal with our lattes.The portions feel small but it's really actually just dense. The ingredients are fresh and flavorful, but I do wish that they gave you more than just 2 add ons. “Gourmet city is a new seafood buffet. I really did like this place. They have a lot of food selections. They have fresh sushi, crab legs, coconut shrimp and much more. If you're not a seafood person not to worry this place also has options like beef and broccoli, Korean BBQ, pizza, fries. Their dessert is also pretty good They have an ice cream bar, cookies etc. If you're in NoHo it's a must try place. Prices are Mon-Fri 18.99 until 4pm. After 4pm it's 29.99 and it's 29.99 on weekends but if you're a senior citizen you get a discount of 10 %Parking: A lot of parking but it is a busy shopping center in between a laundromat and a grocery store so you do have to do a few rounds but you will get a spot and it's free parking. Plenty of handicap parking as well.“
