“When we visit San Diego, we eat here at least 3 times. We absolutely LOVE their bagels (they are heavenly and actually give you a good amount of cream cheese!)I love the look of their merch, my only complaint is that we visit yearly, every single year I try to get merch and they are always “sold out” 😔 I dunno how everything is always sold out every-time I ask the last 8 years. Online they tend to be sold out as well the few times I have looked. It is such a dang bummer. I’d love to support with wearing merch. Still hoping one trip I’ll get lucky and they will have something in stock 😅. Also, their lemonade is super super tart. So if you like it sweet like I do, dont get it. The sugar did not help it at all and I added a ton 😂 The other drinks are good!“

“I went to Hilltop Deli today for lunch for a standard (my basic) roast beef sandwich; roast beef, lettuce, tomato, onion, on sourdough. Not only was the sandwich on point, it came with my choice of side (I wasn’t expecting). It was all so good and I have no need for dinner tonight. Well worth the visit. Staff is A+, too.“

“Over the years San Diego has had exactly three good bagel places, Marigold is the fourth and arguably the best yet. Their bagels provide the perfect chew. The flavored offerings strike the perfect balance been texture and taste. Naturally such a well structured bagel is the perfect vehicle for toppings both hot and cold. Having made the jump from pop-up order phenomenon to what is now a well run shop, I highly recommend you eat here often.“

“Excellent freshly made onsite bagels with at least a dozen different varieties. You can take out or sit at one of the tables inside.
I ordered the Everything bagel with lox, red onion, cream cheese and capers. I skipped the tomato on my second visit as it didn't add much and made it harder to eat. That along with a large coffee made a wonderful very tasty breakfast. Great bagels!!
Staff were friendly and efficient and kept the line moving along nicely so waits are minimal.“

“The bagels were fresh, warm, and had a nice chewy texture without being too heavy. I got a toasted bagel with cream cheese and it was pretty solid, especially with the amount of cream cheese they put on it. The shop had a relaxed, local feel and the staff was friendly enough. Service took a little longer than I expected, but nothing crazy. Overall, it was a good breakfast and I’d probably come back when I’m in the area again. Nothing overly fancy, just a good bagel and a simple place to grab a quick bite.“
