“My friends & I have been enjoying the wonderful meals for 20 years. Jean is a good friend of ours. We typically have the breakfast however we haven't had anything that wasn't amazing. My favorite biscuits & gravy w/ Home fried potatoes. There Coffee is everyone's favorite. Jean is the best server ever.“

“Do not sleep on this place! Ignore how it looks outside, just walk in! The warm conchas that they serve you are amazing! Honestly, everything in the menu is great. We were very much impressed. The chilaquiles are different than how we have them in Texas, but they weren’t bad they were just different in a good way!“

“Our group of 6 went for breakfast on Memorial Day (so that was our bad). After waiting a while past our estimated time and seeing others who came after us, going in, we finally went to check. We found that the tables are mostly 4 tops and they were waiting for a booth to clear out. We offered to be seated separately and were seated immediately. Service for 1 of the tables was average. The other table (of 2) received terrible service. The waiter didn't come to take their order forever and didn't refill their drinks. They watched as our table and tables around them got food, and those around them were offered refills on water and coffee.
There offered gluten free pancakes, which made my son very happy. Portions are huge and the food was good. While it was not exactly as expected at times, overall the group was happy with their food.“

The blueberry glazed donut is so delicious and Again very fresh and I've been there lately night and early afternoon times when the donuts shouldn't be so fresh but not at Top Donuts it seems no matter what time of day they are always fresh. “We visited this place just to check it out as they're opening a location on PCH and have never been before even though we frequent Slice'n'Pint down the street.

We had a patty melt, fries, onion rings & a tuna melt. After being charged, I went to leave a tip and the cashier said something I couldn't catch. Then I realize she was saying there were two separate tip jars: one for service and one for the cook. Thought it was a bit odd but sure, so, I split tip into both.

My wife didn't like her tuna melt, as it apparently was missing the melt part. My patty melt was decent: nothing to write home about. Between the fries and the onion rings, I think fries were the better choice. The onions rings needed more seasoning.

It's a decent counter burger but nothing that stands out. Just feels like one of those places where you can grab food- nothing to really excite you about coming back. The staff is very friendly and I can see how this is a solid joint for a neighborhood.“

“Madre Brunch is an absolute gem for a proper morning feast. The two massive, super fluffy pancakes are a must-order, and the classic eggs benedict hits that perfect rich, savory balance. The salmon avocado toast is equally delicious with top-notch salmon, served on a thick, French toast-style bread that makes it exceptionally hearty. Beyond the food, our waiter, Jesus, truly made the experience—he was kind, attentive, and managed the busy room so effortlessly that we never felt left out for a second. Food is clean, fresh and prepared instantly, so kudos for that. I got a strawberry/banana smoothie, delicious and a club sandwich that I was craving for that was crunchy, fresh, vast and amazing!

“Courtyard Marriott hotel food spot. Good but pricey. Steel cut oatmeal is good and comes with fruit. Decent beer and bourbon selection. $7 cappuccino. Interior is blah hotel but there’s a fire pit outside that’s perfect for Cali nights. Friendly service.“

“We stopped by the Second Wind in El Segundo right by LAX, after hearing about it from some friends (who actually work at LAX). I gotta say it's a solid spot. It looks relatively new and the interior is very cool with anime and pop art stuff. The bar is connected to both inside and outside areas which is nice. We tried: Bulgogi Alfredo Pasta, Sriracha Hot Honey Wings, Flaming Wagyu, Snow Crab Avocajete Dip. I loved the snow crab dip. Its like a avocado dip but add snow crab and some Asian flavorings. Really enjoyed it. The flaming wagyu was also very good, and liked how they torch it table side for you. The bulgogi pasta was good too, and really captures the Asian fusion aesthetic here. They actually have a coffee/boba place located right inside the restaurant which is convenient to get some sweets after. Overall, we enjoyed it and plan on coming back to try some other items.“

“We found this gem of a place a little over a year ago. We try and go every weekend for our “brunch” favorites! We love the staff and Chef .. who are all “family”. The best food, with the nicest staff…and the ambiance isn’t too shabby either. It’s such a joy to go and eat there. Take your time, this is not the type of place you go to to “rush” your meal…“
