“We visited this place just to check it out as they're opening a location on PCH and have never been before even though we frequent Slice'n'Pint down the street.

We had a patty melt, fries, onion rings & a tuna melt. After being charged, I went to leave a tip and the cashier said something I couldn't catch. Then I realize she was saying there were two separate tip jars: one for service and one for the cook. Thought it was a bit odd but sure, so, I split tip into both.

My wife didn't like her tuna melt, as it apparently was missing the melt part. My patty melt was decent: nothing to write home about. Between the fries and the onion rings, I think fries were the better choice. The onions rings needed more seasoning.

It's a decent counter burger but nothing that stands out. Just feels like one of those places where you can grab food- nothing to really excite you about coming back. The staff is very friendly and I can see how this is a solid joint for a neighborhood.“

“Great size burrito with packed flavors and meat. Its solid for the price. The burrito is good, but i think where I feel there could be improvement is, seating first off and then I think the burrito could have been more toasted. A little soggy in parts.“

“We stopped by the Second Wind in El Segundo right by LAX, after hearing about it from some friends (who actually work at LAX). I gotta say it's a solid spot. It looks relatively new and the interior is very cool with anime and pop art stuff. The bar is connected to both inside and outside areas which is nice. We tried: Bulgogi Alfredo Pasta, Sriracha Hot Honey Wings, Flaming Wagyu, Snow Crab Avocajete Dip. I loved the snow crab dip. Its like a avocado dip but add snow crab and some Asian flavorings. Really enjoyed it. The flaming wagyu was also very good, and liked how they torch it table side for you. The bulgogi pasta was good too, and really captures the Asian fusion aesthetic here. They actually have a coffee/boba place located right inside the restaurant which is convenient to get some sweets after. Overall, we enjoyed it and plan on coming back to try some other items.“

Off rip, I knew it was gonna be bomb because my boyfriend actually has great taste and recommended it. I mean why would I date him otherwise? But I still had to be the one to taste it to believe it. Those biscuits put them on the MAP! I had lost faith in biscuits & gravy in this city. I have been let down time and time again because it was so weak. But these gave me hope for the future 🥹 I could see this place being my breakfast new normal. So if you ever want to stop by there, hit me up beforehand and we can brunch together🫶🏼🍽️ this is the type of place I would have FOMO over“

“I had a great breakfast at Jacks and Joe’s. The bacon, sausage, spam and eggs were cooked just right, the French toast with strawberries and nutella was delicious, and even the hash browns nice a crispy and the mango and pineapple juice smoothie hit the spot. Friendly quick service. Recommended.“

My only regret is not visiting every single day for their exceptional breakfast and high-quality juices! I ordered the All I Avo Wanted - Blue corn, waffle, smashed avocado, feta, shaved radish, over easy egg, chili flakes, hemp seeds, salsa macha. I mean, holy moly. The delivery was beautifully executed and built perfectly. The blue corn waffle was moist yet firm. My mother ordered the Shakshuka - another favorite dish of mine that WOWed. “I work very close by and would say this is one of the better lunch options in the area for me. Everything is always consistently ready very fast and it’s always tasty. There is a small free parking lot right out front, otherwise free street parking is also easy to find. Inside is large enough to dine in, but I always get it to go. They do have a pretty large menu with a lot of great options on it and I love that they have smoothies and drinks as well as food items.

I have tried a few different things here, but this past order I got the Spicy Chicken Sandwich and added avocado and honestly really liked it. The ciabatta bread was crispy and the the chicken was perfectly spicy and I just really enjoyed it. The dressing on the side salad was also terrific. I would recommend if you are in the area.“

“Came here for the breakfast special that comes with 2 pancakes, eggs, sausage and hash-browns.
The hash-browns were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Pancakes were super yummy. The bean and cheese pupusa was delicious as well. Everything was super yummy and I can’t wait to come back.“

“The drive home from LAX after dropping my wife off was gonna take WAY too long. Instead of relying on a GPS search for a place for breakfast, I drove the surface streets looking for something. I found The Toast & Jam in Inglewood. I cannot recommend this family-owned cafe enough. I got eggs with deep-fired catfish, which you could tell was made fresh, and it was GOOD. I will definitely be going there again, and I encourage anyone in the area to check it out“

“Our group of 6 went for breakfast on Memorial Day (so that was our bad). After waiting a while past our estimated time and seeing others who came after us, going in, we finally went to check. We found that the tables are mostly 4 tops and they were waiting for a booth to clear out. We offered to be seated separately and were seated immediately. Service for 1 of the tables was average. The other table (of 2) received terrible service. The waiter didn't come to take their order forever and didn't refill their drinks. They watched as our table and tables around them got food, and those around them were offered refills on water and coffee.
There offered gluten free pancakes, which made my son very happy. Portions are huge and the food was good. While it was not exactly as expected at times, overall the group was happy with their food.“
