“What a hidden gem we stumbled upon! It was 9:00 am on a Friday, right as they were opening their doors, and already there was a buzz of activity with people streaming in and placing their orders. Overall, it was a delightful experience. I absolutely adored it. And let me tell you, their coffee? To die for! (Haha!)Their menu offers such a unique selection of dishes that you won't find elsewhere. I'd even go as far as to say it's one-of-a-kind. I opted for the croque madam, and let me tell you, it was a generous portion size! My boyfriend went for the scrambles, and he was equally impressed. The owner or general manager was incredibly attentive, which only added to the overall positive vibe of the place. Thanks a bunch! We'll definitely be back for more!“
“If y’all don’t know about Ada’s, y’all should — because they got one of the BEST coffees around town. They are locally sourced and get the most organic beans, and make the BEST pastries. And best of all, they are a 501(c)3 non-profit social enterprise running in the heart of Palo Alto. I work at Cubberley not far from Ada’s, so I have been coming by often and supporting.A big shout out goes to Kathleen, the owner and founder of Ada’s Cafe — she’s absolutely humble and very caring at every customer. She goes above and beyond in support of not only the neurodivergent community, but also for the communities in need in Palo Alto.I ordered a 16oz latte with whole milk on a Friday — and they honestly served it with SO much love and so much belonging. It truly felt like I was at home, but 10x better. The beans had flavor, and the whole milk wasn’t overly saturated. I also appreciated how much love and consideration they put in the croissant sandwich as well, because the ingredients were fresh and not too sweet or too salty at all.It is located next to the Palo Alto Library, and they do close early at 4pm. There is limited indoor seating, but there is a variety of things you can choose from. I would definitely recommend supporting a local business like Ada’s and having your bestie brunch dates here too.Vegetarian options: They have some things you can ask for vegetarian! In fact, most things are vegetarian :)Dietary restrictions: They have different kind of non-dairy options you can choose from! :DParking: Because we’re sharing a parking lot with the Palo Alto Library, there are times where you’re not able to find parking right away. However do not fret, because they usually clear away after a while.Kid-friendliness: Very kid-friendly - most of the kids from Challenger or nearby kids from the surrounding neighborhood come to get an ice cream scone from Ada’s! No wonder that’s why they were this profit-driven — and they’re still running despite the inflation — they get TONS of business from the kids everyday!Wheelchair accessibility: It is wheelchair accessible! Very wheelchair friendly — and they accommodate very openly about who sits there and stuff.“
“Very friendly staff that gave delicious recommendations and gave me a rundown on Turkish coffee for my first time! I'm a huge coffee guy and the Turkish coffee here was pretty good, pastries were great though! There's relatively limited seating but it's also great for some grab and go bites! Will definitely come here again to this semi-hidden gem :)“
“I used to go to Peet's on Laurel St. all the time, but they have competition! Groovy Goose is a new coffee spot in San Carlos, and their lattes are wonderful! Really good. The staff is young and friendly too. They could use a few more tables, but I'm happy to go and pick up a latte any day. They could also expand their pastry selection, but - don't tell Peet's - as for coffee, probably the best in San Carlos! I recommend.“
“As an update, it's worth calling out how much the current owners have improved this shop. It's cleaner, brighter, the service is fast, etc. They clearly care and are putting in lots of effort and attention. It's always had good beans and coffee, but everything else is just better now. Top notch place, check it out!“
“Such a peaceful dining experience, I always enjoy coming here for lunch on a sunny day when I am in town. A little expensive but everything is high quality and delicious. Gorgeous gardens to walk around, feels like you are in Europe! Definitely recommend the salmon salad. There is a parking lot with ample amount of parking spots. I always make a reservation ahead of time.“
“Menlo Park is a really up and coming strip of restaurants and cafes south of SF. Andytown is a coffee roaster from SF that opened up in Menlo Park. It’s a really nicely designed space, with an elaborate ceiling crafted with curved wood beams and lights. The coffee is solid. I tried their house special “The Original Bird”, which has espresso on ice, soda water, topped with a house made whipped cream. It’s cool and refreshing, just enough sweetness. I also tried some of their “Wind & Sea Blend” drip coffee, which is pretty good for a drip stored in a big container. They don’t have pour over which was a mild surprise.I also tried their breakfast sandwich, which is thick toasted bread with ham, bacon, and an egg with runny yolk. It’s a bit oily and messy, but overall another solid menu item.Indoors, they have a communal table with 4 stools and a curved bench for around 4-6 indoors and another 4 tables or so outside. When it gets busy there would probably not be anywhere to sit. It’s a nice spot, always great to find another quality coffee roaster with a store front.“
“A very unique, Korean-flavored inspired cafe! The injeolmi cake was very light and spongy, whereas the black sesame cake was super dense on the bottom and complimented by the soft cream on top. The madelines were very thick and the red velvet one had cream cheese filling inside. I also got the yakgwa latte, which tasted exactly like a sweet potato! The texture was thick too. Would recommend coming here for a special day, but everything is quite pricey!“
“Came at lunchtime with my mom and had a wonderful time. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and the lunch buffet is a really good deal with all you can eat, fresh naan, and hot chai.My mom loved the goat curry and i liked the butter chicken. Will definitely come again!!“
“I loved the atmosphere! Comfortable couches, electric outlets, the piano! Food is alright: the salmon pasta was huge and the salmon yummy, the BLT sandwich had over fried bacon that was hard to chew, the pastry tasted good but was cold and a bit soggy. The Matcha latte used the syrup instead of actual matcha :(It's not bad for a college cafeteria but the prices are not justified“
“I love verde and I used to go to the cupertino one all the time as a kid before it closed. My boyfriend and I come here all the time for the nostalgia. The drinks are still amazing and the popcorn chicken is delicious! Our fav is strawberry jasmine milk tea :)“
“Our family frequented this spot for quite a few months as we take our toddler to the play gym next door on a weekly basis and we love the local family ambiance here! It's always busy Saturday mornings, but never so busy that you can't find a spot to sit and sip your coffee or chow down on your breakfast. Their coffee is good, and we're a big fan of their bagels and that's really all we could ask for! Parking is a bit iffy depending on the time of day, since we're there early for the play gym we never have much of an issue but we have seen the lot completely packed when we come out of our gym class.“
“Wow! This sweet little pizza shop is making amazing pizzas! Owner Matt Burr greeted us himself. He's super friendly; we felt right at home. We had a cheese pizza with 4 toppings of our choice. Perfectly topped with a really flavorful tomato sauce base. The crust though? That was what clinched it-- chewy and charred to perfection. Matt's shop is clean and comfortable with plenty of seating. Couldn't have had a better pizza experience! Just wow!“
“I came by while I was in the area and ordered the cloudy strawberry, 25% sweet. It wasn't cheap, but you get 20% off your first order so with this discount I was able to get it for $5.54. It was definitely sweeter than I expected for 25% sweetness, but it was yummy. I liked the cheese foam and strawberry bits. Overall, not bad since at least the drink size is pretty large, and they have an okay-sized menu. They have indoor seating and a crane machine if you want to try your hand at winning a stuffed animal.“
“Bagels are tasty but small and expensive. The lox was good enough but again the sandwich was pricey for the amount of bagel and lox you’re getting. It’s the only bagel spot around so it’s got us hooked there. Two bagels (only one lox) cost me $16 and change.“
“This has become my husband and my go-to place for a quick, delicious breakfast. I usually get a skillet - every one I've tried comes out piping hot and packed with flavor - and a freshly squeezed orange juice. Unlike many other places, their orange juice is actually real freshly squeezed juice! Service is lightning fast, even when the place is packed.“
“What a fantastic find and worth a visit! The ambiance is simple, very clean and incredibly friendly. The food is amazing we all had completely different dishes from pancakes to lunch to Bulgogi, all so impressive. Our meal was topped off with complimentary watermelon and grape dessert, what a wonderful touch. I haven't seen this special kind of service in the bay at a cafe. Excellent food and service!“
“Used to frequent this cafe when I lived in SoCal so I was happy to see them open up in the Bay Area. Ube flan cupcakes were just as good as I remember. Moist ube cupcake and a creamy flan topping. They had a buy 4 pastry get a free hibiscus calamansi cooler which was a sweet deal. If you're an ube fan, this place is a must.“
“A great BYO Asian bowl spot on Stanford campus! The place is pretty popular with students, so there tends to be a line around lunchtime. Bowls are around $12, all meats are the same price. There is no seating inside, just grab and go, but there are some nice seating areas right outside.I had a salad bowl with half tocino and half panko chicken. Loved the texture and flavor of both meats, and the variety and amount of vegetables I got in my bowl. The tocino pork had a great sweet and savory flavor and the panko chicken was crispy and tender.Topped it off with the sriracha mayo sauce.Would definitely return to try their other protein options!“
“Met up with friends at the cafe here a few times. So far, plenty of free parking in the lot across the street. For take-out, you step aside and wait after ordering, or for dine-in, a server will find your number to bring the food to your table. Either way, the wait can take quite awhile. I've had ham and cheese small bytes; baguette was hard and too salty. Turkey cranberry and arugula sandwich was decent. Coffee is good. Strawberry Dragon Fruit drink is refreshing, light sweet. Nice area to walk around Google campus!“
“I had to place orders for an event i coordinated and the food was perfect. The food was prepared in the time selected and the service at pick up was super friendly and helpful. I highly recommend for great tasting food, friendly service and perfect for planning orders for big events.“
“Best coffee in Mountain View. I saw a blind person walk out with the biggest smile on his face carrying a small bag of coffee beans. I alway get a cappuccino but the wife love Latte and daughter gets the Thai Ice Tea. All excellent.Wheelchair accessibility: No steps.“
“Randomly found this unassuming place in a shopping center. Everything we've tried has been outstanding, and they'll do a half order of most things so you can try even more. Service was great and the wait went faster than they said. Shout out to Andrew, it was like he could read my mind. I'll definitely be coming back.Kid-friendliness: Separate kids menu and they'll do half orders of anything“
“Cute store with outside seating. Impressive macrons are good little desserts for those that don't want too much sugar. The outdoor seating provides a nice place for hanging out.The inside of the store could be a little more tidy and organized. Maybe consider hiding all the supplies from the customers' view.“
“It's been a while since I've been here, but I often think back to the time when I worked in this plaza and remember Sam and his wife, the kindest folks in the restaurant biz that you'll ever meet. The food is always great, and the company even better. Eating here feels just like coming home!“
“The service is amazing! They are friendly and personable! Every time I come in, they greet me with a friendly hello. The food is amazing, especially their chicken-fried steak. They also make great lattes! I highly recommend Breakers Cafe!!“
“I got the Deluxious mocha and a tofu arepa and my date got the spicy Maya cocoa and the plantain arepa. The drinks and food were exceptional and came fast. The service was warm and attentive, and the place looked beautiful, clean, open, and inviting.Vegetarian options: Lots of the food is traditionally vegetarian and even more is made vegetarian with the use of tofu.“
“First time at K's Café. I like how all the menu items are named after professional sports teams, although that makes me not want to order the Dodgers dish, haha. I devoured a delicious crepe stuffed with vegetables called Arsenal. It was pretty quiet inside when we arrived around 12pm on a Thursday. We could talk quietly even with a table of seven women chatting animatedly by the door. However, it became very noisy and crowded when a large number of students arrived from the high school across the street. I would avoid the school rush hour in the future. Prices were pretty high, but what else is new these days. Wheelchair access was good with space in the main walkway. We were able to choose a table at the end so there was enough room to maneuver the wheelchair. I forgot to take a photo of my meal before I started eating. My tastebuds were happy and my stomach was full when we left.“
“Absolutely adore this place! From the delightful staff, delectable food, to the charming atmosphere, it's a complete package!Plus, their mimosas are unparalleled, even for someone like me who doesn't usually indulge. I've been a loyal patron since day one, and my go-to dish has to be their breakfast tacos! ?“
“This little cafe is so cute . It's directly In front of Redwood City caltrain and there's other stores around which makes your shopping convenient. But the staff are super friendly food is amazing portions are well sized if you need a little home cooked bite to eat I'd recommend Franklin's they also have outdoor seating for sunny days as well. It's a good little hole in the wall“
“I've enjoyed all of the sandwiches, wraps, and coffee drinks here. Solid tasting mochas. This is a good place to get some work done over a breakfast or lunch - Decent number of seating and outlets to plug into. A printer is on-site for a per-page cost. Staff is attentive and friendly.“
“We have dined in the Cafe almost since the day it opened. Through the years they have consistently exceed our expectations by providing an exceptional dining experience especially for special occations. I live around 200 miles from the resturant and always make it a destination when visiting my family in the area.“
“The service is exceptional super fast and considerate. The food though is a little okay. The popcorn chicken has actual popcorn which sounds innovative but the combination just didn't work. The food was definitely in the smaller portions and the prices were definitely more expensive. Super great study place though.“
“This is a warm and cozy neighborhood coffee/breakfast/hangout place. At a quiet corner off the busy street. Regulars come here every morning having a cup of coffee and bagels and read newspaper here. Super nice and cozy vibes. Everything is at unbelievably reasonable prices. If you just need something nice and simple and just hang out, this is the place. People are super nice here. We always occupy that outdoor table with our dogs.“
“There is no Cafe right now just a snack bar upstairs where you can buy candy chips sodas water and other snacks. Also computers and books upstairs on the upper level floor. Mostly gifts, books and clothing on the ground floor. School supplies and discount items on the mezzanine level and the ground floor is textbooks, Diploma Frames and medical goggles. They definitely have some nice stuff. A fifth star could be made available if they working Cafe was serving coffee upstairs. Okay Dave?“
“World class! Just ate lunch here and from service to presentation to taste! 5 stars across the board! I highly recommend it! We had an omelette and a chicken sandwich and it looks identical to the pictures on the website. That rarely if ever happens. We love close by and will be coming all the time.“
“I love Coupa Cafe’s iced latte! I think their latte is the world best! Strong and aromatic coffee. It makes me feel happy.Pastries are also good. The only thing I want to tell is all the menus are expensive… If it were a little cheaper I would eat it every day.Besides, their waffle with lots of fruits is crispy and tastes good! Their boba is not good because it is not chewy “
“It's a small cafe in the Stanford medical building. I don't think you come here for gourmet food or anything. You come here if you're a patient and hungry or if you're medical staff in need of breakfast or lunch.I've stopped here a few times after some of my medical visits to Stanford. It's clean and while they have gotten rid of most seating due to Covid there are still some seating spots along the wall. And you can sit outside.Their scones are okay. I've gotten blueberry and cranberry and I think the blueberry one tastes better. I'm usually starving when I come here though so it's fine. They also have a breakfast sandwich all day but I haven't tried it yet. There's also some grab n go sandwiches and drinks too.Their mocha is not bad although they do charge extra $0.50 for decaf.“
“A nice neighborhood breakfast place. I wanted something homey and this fit the bill. We were greeted at the door and they arranged a table for 5. We requested coffee and after a little while, we ordered food. We ordered an eggs benedict, eggs with ham and bread, blueberry pancakes and corned beef hash with eggs, with side of hashbrowns. We all liked the hash browns, it was crispy. The other food was fine and we filled up. Service was nice and they checked when we needed coffee refills.“
“JIMMY V'S!!! One of my FAVORITE cafes to visit on Stanford Campus - they serve the most delicious breakfasts, lunch foods, and smoothies / shakes / drinks. Many of their foods that I have enjoyed include: Athlete Omelet, Norcal Scramble, Huevos Rancheros, Stanford Panini, Chicken Chestnut Salad Melt, and Olympian and Cardinal smoothies! Everything is so on point. All their omelets, paninis, sandwiches, smoothies, everything. I also always come back to the Olympian smoothie, which features apple juice, strawberry, banana, raspberry, peach, and low-fat yogurt. The people at Jimmy V's are literally some of the friendliest and warmest I've ever met - I always see them smiling and making conversation and connections with everyone. The inside of the Sports Cafe is lively with a strong community feel and Stanford school spirit, and it is also busy with students, professors, athletes - you name it! The red walls feature quotes like "Passion is Your Greatest Asset", "You Are Never Wrong To Do The Right Thing", and "Teams That Eat Together Play Together Win Together". Jimmy V's also has multiple HD TVs all around the cafe with different sports channels on. In addition, Jimmy V's has a huge outdoors seating area as well, with both sun umbrellas and natural shade from the large green trees. Jimmy V's is one of the best cafe's ever!!! I have loved everything I've ordered from them so far, and I can't wait to try more. Jimmy V's is also the perfect place for any kind of gathering - with friends, with professors, with sports teammates, or on your own! I am not surprised that it is one of the most well-loved, frequented, and beautiful cafés on campus. I would definitely recommend enjoying food from Jimmy V's!!!“
“Bringing authentic frenchness in California is a huge achievement, Mademoiselle Collette nailed it! From outstanding croissants that could challenge many places in France to the excellent croque madame for a great brunch, and of course the amazing fine patisseries are a must..... The place is charming, bringing a good souvenir of so many French places.....“
“Very tasty boba, well made with great portions. The employees were very nice. Not very much sitting or standing room available. Will have to sit outside somewhere around the public seating closer to parking area. You will likely need to order at the kiosk that does not take cash.“
“Stumbled upon this cafe waiting for an appointment. Had the tomato mozzarella sandwich on gluten free bread and a tea. It was delicious but the staff was really impressive. Kind, helpful and efficient. Wish I tipped more. Would definitely return!“
“I arrived here for my free bday coffee. I chose the wake up call.. hold lemme try it real quick. Hmm ok ok I am feeling lil woke. It's got an espresso shot in it so it's meant to do the trick. Yeah yeah I am feeling it, not bad. I like it.“
“Great place, easy to get to, and a beloved favorite in Menlo Park. Full of students - Stanford and High School too, lots of students are wait staff.... And come back for years as workers and food-lovers Beautiful large outside patio, with umbrellas. Also limited indoor seating. Get in line to go to the counter and order, take your number and get your seat. Not sure what to get, ask the friendly counter person, they will help you choose... Take a look around - Keplers Book Store is next door also a local favorite. Great food, lots of variety, salads, pasta, desserts, get a tasty cookie and relax. Liquids? Great coffee, and loads of other selections like Beer, Wine It's on El Camino Real... and CalTrain has a station / parking lot behind the collection of stores. There's Parking Lot underneath the complex, because street parking can be difficult. Live Music played some nights, that's great fun but get there early. Go see, you'll love it.“
“It's a touristic Italian coffee shop with Italian desserts! The name tells it all! It's a self service cafe. If you're a chocolate lover, this is your haven! This place is famous for real (European) hot chocolate or chocolate mousse. Pastries are fresh and delicious. Hot chocolate is actually melted chocolate not hot coco There are indoor and limited (laptop free) outdoor seating. Parking may be tough since it's right in the middle of Palo Alto downtown, but still possible in surrounding streets parking and lots. Of course good for kids and a small meet up. It's a bit pricy but given the quality and atmosphere may be debatable.“
“The staff at KJs are super friendly and always helpful. Now that we are back on campus it's great to go and get coffee there again. As staff, I have often gone there for water, and they very pleasantly fill up a glass. Can't wait to start ordering coffee there again!“
