“We book this restaurant through Resy because I wanted to use Amex rewards. I love the name of the restaurant! I didn’t know that they ONLY SERVE CEVICHE!! Seafood was great (little too salty) but I was hungry to the end because they don’t have main dishes. I would say this place is good for grabbing drinks with ceviche, not for dinner. Only one guy was serving everything. Making ceviche, drinks and cleaning. So it takes time to get food. Parking is in the back but it’s hard to find it.“

“I was in search of a good Chile Relleno Burrito and Google Maps suggested Calimex. I'm so glad it did! Easily one of the best I've ever had. The poblano chile was the star of the show. It was fresh and green, didn't taste heavily fried or buried underneath a ton of cheese. And the rice and beans packed a ton of flavor. Great flour tortilla too. It didn't look like the flour tortillas were homemade, but they were so fresh and delicious they could pass for homemade. Definitely a labor of love, the whole family is back there in the kitchen having a good time together and making incredible food. Will be back! Looked like a popular gathering spot for families and groups.“

“I was having such a grand old time at La Fe that I wanted to take a picture of my experience. I set my phone on a ledge, but my phone fell through a crack. La Fe’s STAR employee, Caleb, had to dismantle the freakin’ couch using power tools in order to retrieve my phone. It took so much work and time and I’m so grateful. Aside from the superb service, La Fe is such a perfect spot for a date or for chilling with friends because of the stylish and hip decor. I would def recommend!“

“Decided to try this place out and wanted to try different items for my own personal knowledge. As seen in the photos I got ahead of myself and started eating before taking pictures. I got a cheeseburger combo which comes with fries and a drink, 2 tacos, and 2 pupusas. I tried everything individually and tried the sauces on their own to fill taste the flavor. The cheeseburger combo was great and flavorful. The fries were made to perfection with the perfect crisp. The pupusas were very good too along with the curtido and salsa. Salsa is very flavorful and the curtido has a kick of heat to it. The tacos were good with the perfect blend of flavor even without the salsa. Tries the green salsa on its own and it was so good and flavorful. Def going to come back to eat here again. The lady cooking and taking orders is so sweet and she makes her food with love. I told her imma try a bit of everything to see what I like and she said I’d love it all. She wasn’t wrong. For all this food that can feed about 3 people, I spent $23. Which is a great deal from my pov. Went back the next day for a carne asada plate and paid extra to get some grilled shrimp on it. Was definitely worth it and it was so good.“

They’re big but not cheap. Most are more than $5 each. They’re packed full of food though! They are aesthetically pleasing - especially the spinach and cheese one.

The spinach and cheese empanada is their best. It’s a masterpiece! It’s really flavorful. Great spinach taste! The ham and cheese empanada is also very good but a bit greasy. I’ve tried some of the other empanadas and they’re good too.

The deli part of the restaurant has all kinds of Chilean goodies! Like wines!

They have a deli and a restaurant. I haven’t been to the restaurant in a while but the food is good there too.

Parking is a problem but they have a lot in the rear.“

“They treated me very kindly and the food is very delicious. I ordered 2 plates of roast beef and a plate of roast chicken. They served it with beans, rice, chives, elbow or fresh salad and tortillas. We were very satisfied. For me, the price of the dish is good. .“

““OMG, my sister recommended this restaurant as I picked her up from LAX, the food was authentic real Mexican food, beyond exquisite. The place gave me vibes of a fondita in Mexico, which I loved. The beef had a decent flavor, though the filling was a bit uneven at times, and the chicken avocado was pleasant but didn’t stand out. The apple empanada was sweet and cinnamon-y, but a little dry on the edges. The crust is flaky and crisp, which is nice, but some fillings felt a bit sparse compared with the price.

Ordering is fast since it’s mainly takeout from a window, but that means there’s no real indoor dining vibe. There is a bench nearby and some space to stand, but no proper outdoor seating.

Service was friendly enough, though it didn’t feel especially personal. Parking is metered on the street and can fill up during busier times. Kids could enjoy the smaller portions, but with the lack of seating it’s better for quick bites than sit-down meals. “This place is very hole in the wall. It's located in the alley way between Wall Street and Maple Ave. The entrance is only located in the middle of the alley driveway. I can best describe the food as a mix of Mexican, Salvadorean. I'm biased, I always order their asada burrito and it has never been bad. Meat was flavorful, just the right amount of rice and beans, cilantro and onions. Their red sauce is spicy and goes well with the burrito. I've always ordered takeout, and never ate inside the restaurant. Service has always been quick for me, as you walk up to the counter inside, place your order and pay when it comes out. They are usually busy during the day as they serve all the locals around here. The delivery person is usually busy, coming in and out taking orders. The caldos seem to be popular here as well as the pupusas. The establishment seems to be a family owned and operated joint.

The prices are more than fair for the food you are getting. If I remember correctly, the burrito that I ordered is $13 and you get a LARGE burrito that is packed. You will get full off this burrito. I've been there a few times, and I definitely want to go back so I can try their other dishes and see if they are just as good. Give them a shot if you're in the area for a quick bite. I believe they're worth it.“
