“This place exceeded my expectations. I just picked the first Peruvian restaurant in the area because I was craving this type of food and I went thinking it was just a little place with ok food. The ambience is cozy and the food was excellent. All the servers were attentive and quick to take our orders and bring food. My only complaint is that they are too far away from me so I wont be able to come often but if I do, I know is worth the hour drive!! This place is 5 out of 5 . I definetly recommend the ceviche B69 and Chiquitos Serranos“

“Octavio’s passion project is simply one of the best restaurants in all of LA. Styled like an impeccably artful, primarily counter-seating neighborhood restaurant of the sort you might find in Tokyo, Ceviche Project is a labor of love by a guy who puts together creative raw bar, crudo sashimi and ceviche courses with great care and attention to detail. He also serves a mean Michelada and has an excellent wine selection. I’ve been following his career ever since he was doing ceviche pop-ups in and around LA, and have watched his skills grow and evolve over the years like a sushi master, but for ceviche. He also spins an awesome selection of vintage Latin American vinyl to set the mood. Can’t recommend Ceviche Project highly enough!“

“Was in the area for an errand and randomly stopped by. I got a bean and cheese since they were on special for dirt cheap and it was so bomb. Server recommended the taquitos, green chile, and onion rings, and I can’t wait to come back and try them. Such a classic spot that does not disappoint on flavor.“

The encebollado was fresh and clearly had been simmered for hours as it should be. The chicken in the seco de pollo fell off the bone. Best Ecuadorian in LA for sure.“

“Came here for the 1st time after years of driving by. We got the sampler knowing it was small tacos, but assorted fillings, which is perfect. Also, we ordered a pork tamale, ceviche tostada, cochinita taco, and chile relleno burrito, all items were on their cute chalk board, no prices though.
Everything we tried was delicious and fresh, some of the tacos didn't need salsa, but highly recommend you get all of them. The ceviche tostada was a refreshing bite after those spicy tacos, I almost ordered another, but had to try the rest. The tamale was crumbly(?) dough like we prefer and the chile relleno was also good in comparing it to other restaurants around there, but not as hearty as at a burrito place.
We will be returning to try other items and more ceviche tostadas.
Parking is hard to find in the area when street sweep passes, but there's a public lot a block away you might find parking or bus it.“

“I was in search of a good Chile Relleno Burrito and Google Maps suggested Calimex. I'm so glad it did! Easily one of the best I've ever had. The poblano chile was the star of the show. It was fresh and green, didn't taste heavily fried or buried underneath a ton of cheese. And the rice and beans packed a ton of flavor. Great flour tortilla too. It didn't look like the flour tortillas were homemade, but they were so fresh and delicious they could pass for homemade. Definitely a labor of love, the whole family is back there in the kitchen having a good time together and making incredible food. Will be back! Looked like a popular gathering spot for families and groups.“

“Went here for the first time because it was close to the Greek (it's actually super close). The food was really good and the drinks were yummy. Ethan our server was very entertaining. It got super busy at one point where the noise was pretty loud and it was hard to get our check but will gladly come back.“

“I absolutely love coming to Tierra Mia their drinks are always spot on just amazingly tasty! I got to try their new flan frappe today and my goodness I can't put it down! The customer service is always great super friendly staff. Place was pretty packed but they were quick with the drinks, I was not waiting forever. There's many places to sit and just enjoy the day chilling with your drink and/or significant other. There's always plenty of parking at this location so that's never an issue either.“

“Got a Perico , cheese arepa and a Taqueno.

Perico was nice, the sauce really carries the arepa. Without the sauce everything lacks flavor but has a good texture. Cheese Arepa is nice if you dip it in sauce but otherwise is a basic item that doesn't stand out. The same goes for the Taqueno, its not a bad item but it doesn't really stand out in any way. Cheese pull isn't good and in the end it reminds me of the pillberry rolled dough with some cheese in the center.

Atmosphere-wise doesn't really stand out. the Red and white color scheming is fine but doesn't stand out at all and the lack of AC means its a bit too hot for me to enjoy given the currently hot weather for the area.

All in all for the price, its a decent place to get a quick light lunch. Outside of that I find it a bit hard to recommend. The size of the Arepas is fairly small so keep in mind you may need 2 to feel decently sated appetite-wise.“

“A lot of people ask about the tamales, chuchitos, pupusas and the like and this is a very good place. They also have champurrado and atole drinks. There are natural flavored waters made of real fruit. Here is where the famous bacon wrapped hot dogs are sold with onions, jalapenos peppers, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise and the option to make it spicy. The place has natural homemade beef and chicken soups, grilled fish, fried cauliflower, shrimp cocktails and other foods and meals.“

“I love the choice between fried and roasted chicken. Chicken was flavorful and good next day. I like plantains, rice and those beans were oh so good!! The yucca fries unfortunately were not, bland and didn't feel cooked thru. I ordered both a family and individual meal and requested rolls instead of tortillas. When I got home, there was only one roll and no tortillas. So insulting and luckily I had tortillas as home but i was so bummed, because the roll was really good. I'll come back, but next time. I'm making sure those damn rolls are in there!“

“I went here to celebrate my birthday and have dinner before a lakers game. And I have nothing but great things to say about it. Firstly the service is exceptional. Everyone was so kind and made me feel so special. The food was incredible and the drinks were tasty. And the location is amazing!!! Quick easy walk to the game. We were in a bit of a hurry so they even boxed up a little birthday cake for me. I really really recommend this place. Will definitely be back. “The food is good but the steak are not hot. They are juicy but not hot. Portions are good. Salads are ok but my wife does it better nice place to have a date. But LALAS IS BETTER and definitely meat at ocean will beat the hell of it dont try the lobster tail not that good“

Prepare to be massacred by mosquitoes and its pretty much diy table clean up. Unfortunately much like everywhere else this place has fallen victim to shrinkflation. You pay more for less.The cocktail price has gone up $2 for a smaller portion and the shrip tacos went up a dollar and have less shrimp. Spent 55 for 2 people plus tip used to spend 45 including tip . Idk if it's worth paying that much anymore“

“I LOVE this place!! We don't live in the area but every time we visit our friends nearby we have to stop for treats to take home. Their baguettes are the best! Not sure what makes them different than others but they really are the best ever. Their sweet treats are great too! My husband is very picky about cinnamon rolls- he has a hard time finding one he likes (not even Cinnabon) but he tried their's and said it was so goodHaven't tried the breakfasts yet but their crepes with fruit are delicious.Good thing we don't live closer- I'd be there all the time!“
