“There is no other place I love to let loose and dance my heart out more than The Dime! I had such a fun night being transported back to when bars were casual and fun to go to. Good drinks, great music, loved the vibe!“

“A great little bar where everybody knows your name. One of the gems of Los Angeles, this is one of those friendly bars where everyone is super chill and there’s no pretension.
The food is amazing tbh. Surprisingly good. The fried are crispy and crunchy with a hint of rosemary. The karaoke is fun and laid back. The people are warm. The bathrooms could use a little updating but work…sometimes. Parking can be an issue. Wish they had something worked out with a parking lot where you can park for a couple bucks.
Overall this place is a great place for a birthday or when you just want to get out of the house and sing a few tunes.“

“Favorite place to hang out when visiting LA. The vegan food menu is amazing and on par with their selection of craft beers. The staff is exceptionally friendly. Always feel at home and comfortable when I am there.“

“We were passing by on a Tuesday night and decided to go in.We had a Guinness served properly, without rushing, with time for the beer to rest and then serve. It was pretty empty, but the place must be really cool during the weekend, with more people.“

“The Bel is now my go to spot for celebrations. Jeremy & Maria are incredibly hospitable and took great care of me and my friends for a birthday! They squeezed us in super last minute at a table and we had an amazing time! Can’t wait to go back and try more of the food, kitchen, bar & vibes we’re 10/10“

“I had the fish and chips from the pub menu. Now I'm not a big seafood eater but I do like it. Anyway, the cod was just a bit fishy in taste, but over all pretty good. The Old Fashions were the bomb. The night we were there was when they celebrated Robert Burns and his ode to haggis...a delightful evening.“

“Great food, atmosphere and service, highly Recommend!“
“Its been a long time establishment in the community catering to its devoted clientele, especially to its hispanic and LGBTQ community. As recently as last Friday night, the Silver Platter has prevailed in its effort to provide an outlet of entertainment and appreciation for the community that it supports.
They've upgraded their environment and at one time also provided valet parking, however, with the current stringent limited parking availability, it's been difficult to accommodate and support this historic bar; very much worth a visit though. With the support of those who know this bar well, they should be commended to continue to support a mainstay of L.A.
It's been a while since I posted the above review. It's January 31, 2026. The Silver Platter, subject to being evicted and demolished should definitely be relocated. Its historic value and undeniably a dive bar, provides an ambiance that is unique to its community. Those that can't appreciate the need and value of this establishment in serving the community are too quick to criticize its patrons and deficiencies. This place is a haven to many. It exists to enjoy a cold beer, enjoy the music, people watch and have some fun. We should do what we can to keep the Silver Platter thriving!“

“A solid neighborhood bar with certain teams playing on the TVs and the occasional random movie. I lived on the same street, and it was a great spot to stop by during the day for bar food or later for a nightcap. The staff is always cool. My only real gripe is the points system, which can be a bit of a hassle. Other than that, it’s a great place—especially for Dodgers and Tottenham games. Very hipster vibe, but if you’re comfortable being yourself, it’s a cool spot.“

“4.5 stars - We were bar-hopping in the neighborhood after the LA Beer Fest and found this gem. Massive space, including a covered outdoor area. Games like ping pong and such. Reasonable prices. Friendly bartender, even though they were quite busy. Highly recommend if you are in the neighborhood. I’ll be back!“

“It was nice that they were open before 5pm because of our flight schedule.
The waitress was super nice.
My daughter and I were ordering Ahi Nachos, she suggested to share.
It was very delicious but huge, it was a great suggestion for us.
My husband said chicken in sandwich was hard, so I put 4 stars.
Our son in law liked his pizza.
Music wasn’t loud at all, maybe because there were not so many people because of the time.“

“Thess was the BEST bartender I’ve ever had at an airport, and I’ve had many. Her energy, her service, attention to detail. Top notch. As a traveler making long hauls, you want to unwind and have a little fun from time to time.
She made my time at Terminal 1 fly by! Great playlist too. Go Thess!“
