“Being from Australia visiting los angeles I've read the reviews about this place And thought I would give it a go and guess what they were right best Pork Ba Mi I ever had the gentleman on the door was very accommodating and friendly would go here again anytime without a doubt also very reasonably priced 😉“

“I’ve been eating here through 3 ownerships since the 1970s. I really like the new menu, the outdoor eating area and the bar. The service isn’t 5 star but it’s good as it ever was and I’m fine with it. Unfortunately Ihad a very lousy customer service incident on the phone tonight after they botched my delivery order. I ordered grilled cheese sandwich and onion rings. Postmates delivered matzoball soup and rings. Johnny’s customer service lady (didn’t offer name) and the manager refused all responsibility for the wrong item they mispacked; she told me to take it up with Postmates. OK, but meanwhile can I get my sandwich that Johnny’s failed on? “Take it up with Postmates.” When I questioned that logic from a customer service perspective she said “you’re failing to understand!” and told me “don’t get an attitude with me!” I replied “an attitude with YOU?” and she hung up on me. Come on, Johnny’s, this whole thing started with your mistake. Accept responsibility and make it right. Don’t blame delivery. Just make it right.“

I cannot believe how amazing the subs are here. Also how huge they are. You can honestly get a regular size sub and split it with a friend and it will get the job done.

I was so hungry I don’t even remember the name of the sub I got. I know it was amazing.

“Today's special roasted mushroom pizza was SO GOOD. The chili oil topping was nice and fragrant without being greasy, and the mushroom was flavorful and savory. The nice crispy crust is crusty, not crunchy. The salami pizza had really nice thin slices for salami that is just the right punch of salty flavor.“

“I hired Betty and crew to help cater an open house at my business. They came early, set up, and did everything on their own. The food was really good, and visually very impressive for my guests. They worked their butts off and the event went really well. They cleaned up after and left everything spotless even as many of my guests lingered. Everything was seamless. Highly recommended.“

“I stopped by Mike’s Deli in DTLA on my way to Union Station, and I’m glad I did! While the store itself isn’t flashy at all, they do produce some extremely good sandwiches.

The girl working at the counter was very friendly and welcoming. I ordered a Mike’s Deli #1, which is essentially a spicy version of a turkey avocado sandwich. The sandwich was super fresh and bursting with flavor.

Really, every aspect of this sandwich was memorable, and the meat-to-vegetable-to-bread ratio was on point. The bread was very fluffy and nice, too.

It’s an d-school, simple deli that doesn’t stand out cosmetically, but it’s clean, welcoming, and they pump out some top-tier deli sandwiches at reasonable prices.“

“We arrived right at the lunch hour on a Thursday. There was a long line, but it went very fast. Ordered Herb Chicken sammy and tomato bisque, which was enough for two to share (we always share). Both were phenomenal, especially for the very reasonable price. This reminded me of what you get in Europe. The bread was so fresh and absolutely outstanding. We pay twice these prices for not as good food in San Diego. Very impressed!“
