“If I’m in the mood for Pho or a Banh mi, this is the first place I head to. The broth of the pho is rich, flavorful and has clearly been simmering for hours. The Banh mi are made with the correct crunchy French bread, giving you a real substantial sandwich to wrap your lips around. The vegetables are always super fresh and crunchy too.”

“I wanted to share a wonderful experience we had at your restaurant tonight, thanks in large part to the young man who greeted us at the door. From the very first moment, he was genuinely warm and welcoming, not in a rehearsed way, but with a sincerity that immediately put us at ease. It was clear that he cared about making sure we had a good experience, and that thoughtfulness made all the difference. As we were leaving, he and another receptionist both happily thanked us and wished us a good night. That kind of genuine warmth has become so rare nowadays, and it meant a lot to us. “The Out of the Barrel taproom is IMO the best place for ales, IPA’s, sours, porters and more in Los Gatos. There is a large board clearly listing the beers and helpful bartenders that can guide you to the right tipple. The patio area is nice but can get hot during mid summer. My only real complaint is the food. It’s just simple baked items that aren’t very flavorful. I’d like to see something fresh on the menu.”

“Had my engagement party here in early December 2025 and it was a hit! While email correspondence was sometimes slow, everything was in order when we got there on the day and the team at Hapa's were all really kind, accommodating, and fun! I was able to rent out the inside portion of the brewery, decorate, and choose my own music. The brews are always great, and the food was good. Everything went smoothly on the day of, and I still get compliments from friends and family on how it was a great place for our party. Highly recommend renting it out if you're looking for a place to celebrate an event!”

“We went for after dinner cocktails to celebrate a friends birthday. I made a reservation ahead of time, but they book up early, so reserve early. I did need a better time and called and they were able to accommodate us and made the change. Super glad I called and asked. Cocktails are really good. The atmosphere is great. It’s dark, quiet, romantic. We all had a version of an espresso martini. One had a regular one, which came with a toasted marshmallow. She loved it. The rest of us had a special that was a pumpkin flavored espresso martini. It was so good. It had some sweetness with the crème, delicious pumpkin flavored espresso martini oh so good! Cocktails run about $20-$22 each. Not much for food here. They had caviar, chips, nuts, and Something else. We did not order food.
I would recommend it to try at least once. Great date night cocktail, great for a friend meet up.”

“My first impression off the bat wasn’t the greatest the wait time was over an hour and a half for a walk in (Make sure to do a reservation)….. BUT the service that was provided by Zoe and Keegan was absolutely exceptional!!! I would definitely recommend this place more due to the service they both had given our table! I’ve never experienced anything like this before! They both ensured to go above and beyond to make sure everyone was happy and satisfied with everything! They both definitely deserve a raise and kudos! The pricing is high for what it is and if you’re looking for a pizza with no flop this is definitely NOT the place! However the Goomba pizza was full of flavor and that was the better of the two we picked. The Margarita pizza could definitely be better. It lacked a lot of flavor and I used some hot honey to revive it, so that helped a lot! The ambiance feels very cozy and the look of the place is very nice! I’ll definitely come back to give the place another shot because the service was again out of this world and there is two more pizzas that I wanna try (Scotty 2 Hottie & The Jerk). I would definitely consider this place, but again keep in mind the pizzas aren’t crispy if that’s what you’re looking for.

“I wish I would’ve taken pictures of the food. It looked so good so we just started eating right away and I forgot. We got the samosas, Papadum, quinoa salad, and vegan veggie korma. Everything was incredibly fresh and flavorful! I also am not good with spicy, and so they were very good to make sure that the entrée we ordered was mild. We can’t wait to come back and try other things.”

“Missy was amazing. We went wine tasting on Monday 2/9. We had a reservation at 4pm (the location closes at 5pm). When we got there our 3month old had a some needs (say food before mommy drinks and let’s just say an urgent outfit change was needed). Missy not only gave us a great private room to feed but also stayed in later to give us an amazing tasting experience. She was knowledgable about the wine and gave us a taste of some other wines that were open. As for the quality of the wine lets just say I bought 3 bottles of wine and 2 where white wine and Im not even a white wine drinker (for reference I have over 250 bottles in my cellar). Thank you Missy for a great experience!”

I don't know if the pricing is standard, never having had an American lunch sandwich before, it really was well worth it”

I just had their minestrone (vegetable) for the first time and was so pleasantly impressed - house-made with lots of vegetables and just the right amount of ditalini rigati pasta. I had that as part of the ravioli lunch special. Overall a wonderful place for lunch or dinner.”

The split banana was placed in the dish and I chose cherry jubilee, fresh peach, and chocolate fudge ice cream scoops. Pineapple, strawberry, and hot fudge toppings were added next. The only complaint I have is that sometimes I get cold soggy fries which is due to the workers pre making the little bags of fries and they just sit on the service line. We basically extracted out all the produce from our Family size sandwich and chucked the bread along with cucumber. Even with price increased from $21 to $27 and finally $37. It was not palatable. Sorry you lost me.

Vegetarian options: There are basically 3 sandwiches now our favorite has been #21, but today was not just right with day and aired out bread with stale, bitter cucumbers”
