“If I’m in the mood for Pho or a Banh mi, this is the first place I head to. The broth of the pho is rich, flavorful and has clearly been simmering for hours. The Banh mi are made with the correct crunchy French bread, giving you a real substantial sandwich to wrap your lips around. The vegetables are always super fresh and crunchy too.”

“The Out of the Barrel taproom is IMO the best place for ales, IPA’s, sours, porters and more in Los Gatos. There is a large board clearly listing the beers and helpful bartenders that can guide you to the right tipple. The patio area is nice but can get hot during mid summer. My only real complaint is the food. It’s just simple baked items that aren’t very flavorful. I’d like to see something fresh on the menu.”

“We went for after dinner cocktails to celebrate a friends birthday. I made a reservation ahead of time, but they book up early, so reserve early. I did need a better time and called and they were able to accommodate us and made the change. Super glad I called and asked. Cocktails are really good. The atmosphere is great. It’s dark, quiet, romantic. We all had a version of an espresso martini. One had a regular one, which came with a toasted marshmallow. She loved it. The rest of us had a special that was a pumpkin flavored espresso martini. It was so good. It had some sweetness with the crème, delicious pumpkin flavored espresso martini oh so good! Cocktails run about $20-$22 each. Not much for food here. They had caviar, chips, nuts, and Something else. We did not order food.
I would recommend it to try at least once. Great date night cocktail, great for a friend meet up.”

“We had our Wedding Rehearsal Dinner here and while it was a little more expensive then we wanted it was truly worth it. Their staff were exceptionally courteous and very easy to work with during both the event and the arrangement process. The atmosphere is simply breathtaking there and our dinner in “The Cave” was magnificent both in terms of the food and wine, but the room itself was just so cool to eat dinner in. All of our guests were very impressed with the winery itself, the quality of the food and the service, and everyone had an amazing time, so thank you!”

“First visit. Had lunch of an Insulate di Tonno and an Arthur Ave panini. Both were excellent. The EVOO on the salad was very good. The bread on the sandwich was perfect, not too big to suffocate the delicate flavors of all the thinly sliced meats inside. We were unfamiliar with the wine list so the server offered us a couple of tastes until we found the perfect match. Can't wait to return and try their dinner menu.”

“We’ve been to this places twice for wine tasting in the past but the bistro didn’t open at that time. So we went on Sunday for special Mother’s Day brunch and give it a try. My sister is their member so we can order five different entries from their set menu. We had Shakshuka , Benedict eggs, avocado and salmon with bread , duck fried rice and special charcuterie.
The taste of all dishes are amazing. The duck meat is very well seasoned so it is not gamey at all .Shakshuka tastes like the one we had in Jerusalem.
Nice and friendly service. We can’t wait to come back again for their regular meal.”

The split banana was placed in the dish and I chose cherry jubilee, fresh peach, and chocolate fudge ice cream scoops. Pineapple, strawberry, and hot fudge toppings were added next. Finally, chopped nuts, whipped cream, and maraschino cherries were piled high on my creation. A sight to behold! I feared a sugar overload, but still I ate the whole thing! Yum! 😜🤪🤣🥴👍❤️❤️❤️”

“We eat here fairly often as we live nearby. Bagels are yummy and lightweight. My only qualm is with the cream cheese. We like to grab a mini tub of jalapeño cream cheese but it’s so disappointing seeing it half full? Would be nice to see this improved moving forward. Also would love to see a non-pork alternative for breakfast sandwiches such as plant based patty or turkey bacon added to the breakfast sandwich options for those of us that don’t eat pork.”

The only complaint I have is that sometimes I get cold soggy fries which is due to the workers pre making the little bags of fries and they just sit on the service line. If they are fresh, the garlic fries are the way to go with the brown sugar lemonade.”

We basically extracted out all the produce from our Family size sandwich and chucked the bread along with cucumber. Even with price increased from $21 to $27 and finally $37. It was not palatable. Sorry you lost me.

Vegetarian options: There are basically 3 sandwiches now our favorite has been #21, but today was not just right with day and aired out bread with stale, bitter cucumbers”

The place gets busy and extremely hard to find parking here. Plenty of vegetarian options available. I highly recommend the Cali-Flower and Churros. Everyone was happy with the ambiance, starters and drinks. All our Paella were average, they could taste better.”
