“This place had all the vibes of the perfect donut shop, from the delicious donuts to the lovely atmosphere. Stopped by on break to grab an apple fritter, which was excellent, and the jelly filled options are also excellent. The shop owners were kind and inviting, and I highly recommend everyone stop by to try out their selection. (note: they are cash only, but there is an ATM on site)

Parking: Parking in San Francisco is either super easy or impossible, depending on how lucky you are.

“This particular branch is located inside Mitsuwa; to the left when you walk in...past Hokkaido Ramen Santouka. They do a great job with the Mochi Donuts here. The Mochi Cupcakes are also very good. While this isn't a standalone venue, the menu here seems to be expanding frequently. In addition to their standard Mochi Donuts they keep adding new items. Not that I'm complaining...just an observation. Actually I'm ecstatic! I haven't seen some of these creative new items before. #Sugar ~ Matcha Mochisada - 5/5 These were amazing. Not too sweet or bitter, perfectly balanced Matcha cream on the inside. ~ Mochi Cupcake Black Sesame - 4/5 Excellent flavor. Not too sweet or bitter and the texture is spot on; delightfully chewy without being too dry. I prefer the Cupcakes over the donuts, better texture for me. ~ Matcha BRIOCHE - 4/5 Another brilliant creation. Mochi Brioche with Matcha cream filling. Delish! “Happy Donut has been a staple place for donuts in San Jose for a long time. My family and I have been going here for years, but it's been a while since I last visited and I was happy to find that the donuts are still delicious (and super fresh) as they always have been. “Hands down, some of the best donuts I've ever had. Extra crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful inside — and the fillings actually taste like what they're supposed to. Nothing overly sweet of artificial. You can tell they care about quality here.

Coffee's fine — just your standard cup. Totally drinkable, but with donuts this good, I kind of wish the coffee stood out more. Still, it's a solid stop for a quick breakfast or mid-morning pick-me-up.

Sugar is my favorite accompanied by the chocolate glazed old fashioned. The make breakfast sando’s, serve hot coffee and have a fridge filled with breakfast beverages (7-11 in the same shopping center). Private parking off of Camden Ave and Doordash is available.“

SAM's is the ONLY place to go for REAL donuts and it won't cost an arm and a leg. They know what an old-fashioned donut actually is. If you haven't given them a try check them out.“

“The management changed and so did the menu. The breakfast sandwiches are now either bagel or croissant based. My wife and I got one each and they were pretty good. It hit the spot as we’ve been out of the country for around 3 weeks. They also now have cronut holes. They’re pretty good, but still prefer their regular donut holes.“

“PRE-ORDERS ARE NEVER HONORED WITH THIS CHAIN!!!! Ordered yesterday for pick up tonight and not even an hour before pick up, I get a call saying they're all out of all of the ones for my order. Then proceeded to say that they honor walk in orders over prepaid orders...wtf?! This was going to be a surprise for my child in the morning. WAY TO GO KRISPY KREME! So just fyi.... they're delivery option sucks and their order system is fricken horrible. They don't honor orders...at all! Ya just lost a long time customer. Never supporting this chain again. “Wow, some of the best donuts I've ever tested. Stop in late afternoon. Selection was good and they were all ridiculously fresh. I will definitely visit again next time I'm in the area. “My favorite local donut shop. They tend to be busy but they get people in and out very quickly. They have a variety of fresh yummy donuts and usually thrown in an extra when you purchase a dozen. My favs are the glaze, chocolate and cinnamon twists - love the classics. Their breakfast croissant sandwiches are really good too. I like the #1 with jalapenos. Can't go wrong here!“

“Mochicream has a stand in Plano, TX at one point and decided to close shop. It was a very sad day to see it go. They had the best mochi ever! Their mochi is flown over from Japan and arrives frozen. Once you thaw it, you get this very soft, delicate texture that's rich and creamy. The most popular one is double mango. It's sold out on the weekends so it's best to order a lot if you are a fan of mango. Other flavor that are a hit, cafe au lait, black sesame, blueberry and azuki. Don't let the price deter you from trying the most amazing mochi.“
