“Stopped by Chungdam in Koreatown recently. It's definitely more of a bar and lounge, but honestly the food here is really solid across the board and I feel like people sleep on it. The beef jeon was one of my favorites, especially with the scallion salad on the side. The spicy fire chicken with cheese was another standout with plenty of heat and went perfectly with drinks. We also tried the kimchi pasta, rolled omelette, kimchi jeon, and grilled pork belly, and everything was good. We kept it classic with beer and soju, but they also have a full bar and plenty of cocktails. The atmosphere is pretty chill too. I've been here before for a Dodgers game and it's actually a great spot to grab some food, have a few drinks, and catch a game. Overall, a solid K-Town spot for food and drinks. Don't sleep on the food here because it's actually really good.“

“Great local bar with a down to earth crowd. Bartenders are all great. The Photo Booth is always a great time. They have western nights on Wednesday’s which are really fun and a nice happy hour. Very queer friendly spot with diverse patrons. Delightfully free of the type of people you’d see at Bacari or 4100 Bar. Highly recommend to dimensional, chill locals.“

“Had a private dinner and party here and the best time! The owner and operators were so helpful and pleasant to work with. I couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate our special event. Wonderful sound system, lots of space to dance and plenty of space to sit! The bathrooms were clean and the drinks were strong! The outdoor patio with the fire pit table were beautiful and comforting. And the parking was easy and close. All in all excellent!“

“Exquisite cocktails, beers, service, and clientele.!! But the real stars of the show are Nami, Gio, and Kel! The incredible staff behind the bar, who took care of me and my friend all night. I’ve always loved KTown and just moved to the area after a few years living elsewhere in LA. Last night was my first night at Normandie Bar and I’m so grateful to live a few blocks away for at least the next year. Lou the bouncer was a gem of human too. I can’t wait to be back. The pina colada is a standout, as I believe they sous vide the rum in angel’s food cake or something of the sort. Incredible selection of spirits from whiskey, tequila, mezcal, and more. I can go on and on. 10/10. Highly recommend this place!“

“Spring never disappoints! We brought friends from out of town, and we had a wonderful meal, starting with the white shrimp appetizer. The duck received rave reviews for the richness of flavor as well as the preparation. The saffron in the bourride complemented the fish. We closed with a panna cotta that was light and fresh. Spring is such a gem. We always enjoy our dinners there, and we are happy to have it in DTLA!“

“Yesterday was the first time in this good restaurant. But It is absolutely not the last time. We enjoyed the evening very much with the courteous service, with the high quality cuisine and fine drinks and with the decent charge. We will absolutely return there again.“

“This place really has its own atmosphere. The overall vibe is great, the alcohol selection is solid, and the bartenders are friendly and welcoming. What I liked most is that the place feels relaxed and comfortable. It does not have that aggressive energy some bars have, and it definitely does not feel like the kind of place where people are looking for trouble. The atmosphere inside feels warm and friendly.

The main downside for me was the music. It would be much better if the DJ played something that matched the actual mood of the place. When there are only two or three tables occupied, the music is still blasting as if the place is packed and everyone is waiting for a huge drop. That feels a bit out of sync with the otherwise chill and enjoyable atmosphere.

Overall, it is a nice place with a lot going for it, but the music choice and volume could really make the experience much better.“

“February 2023 we travelled to LA from San Diego for a weekend of delightful shenanigans and shows. I am a huge tea connoisseur and I adore going for high or afternoon tea. I found this place through a quick Yelp search and it had such a unique atmosphere and look that I couldn't resist. Was able to make a reservation through OpenTable.
When we arrived at the hotel...yes, Lilly Rose is located in the basement of The Wayfarer Downtown Los Angeles...we checked in with the concierge and were escorted downstairs. When we got off the elevator and entered the space all of our jaws dropped. The space is decorated so whimsically it was great. There was a fortune teller machine like the one from Big. There was a carousel horse. There was a rollercoaster bench and so much more. We were seated almost in the center of the venue in a private high backed banquette. It was a dreary rainy day so it was quite empty when we arrived but picked up about an hour after our reservation began. So the dreary, rainy day was wreaking havoc on the hotel and the heat was out in the venue so it was quite chilly. The manager who was helping us had a space heater that he let us point toward our table to stay warm. The chill didn't dampen our mood; we had enjoyed had an excellent time and experience.
Our server came over and brought a tea board with their featured teas for us to select from. I love those interactive tea boards. It's great being able to put your nose into the tea you're considering to see what the aroma and body of the tea will be. We each selected a tea and added on champagne to our tea. Our teapots arrived first and we were all happy with our selection. A short while later our tea tower was delivered to the table and had the best selection of tea sandwiches and savouries. As a regular tea attendee I've had a ton of different sandwich and savoury selections but it's always great to be surprised with others. We munched and chatted and took photos of the venue. The staff were friendly and welcoming and knowledgeable which always makes the experience that much better. Our sitting was for two hours but they didn't bum-rush us out. We were able to linger and sip tea and relax. Before we left our server was even nice enough to snap a few shots of our threesome. I can't recommend this tea enough. You will not be disappointed. I will visit and remain longer since I like the view before the room, which straightforwardly prompts the pool. The rooms are an incredible size, and a portion of the perspectives are stunning. You will not be frustrated!“

Everything is made fresh - there's not only Korean fare like bulgogi and beef sushi rolls but tacos, sandwiches, quesadillas, and much more. I especially like their bulgogi wrap. “Anarchy Library has a cool rock vibe. The cover is only $5 and drinks are cheap. The music is good. But it is very crowded with no space to dance. The men's bathroom needs more urinals and dividers. It is not enough for the crowd. Good prices but the space and bathroom need work.“

“Seating is ridiculous at Union Station. I don't mind the cost of the lounge if I don't have a first class ticket. It's worth it to me to be comfortable and relaxed before traveling. Even though we were only stopping in for a quick drink and not ordering a full meal, Robert treated our family with extraordinary warmth, kindness, and hospitality. He made sure we felt completely safe, comfortable, and cared for, letting us take all the time we needed to keep the kids relaxed while we waited.

It is rare to find a business with this level of genuine heart and empathy. Beyond the fantastic atmosphere, the level of service provided by Robert and the team is second to none. “Great food. I ordered the chicken blt and chips and salsa. The salsa wasn't hot enough but ooh well it was good enough. Andrew the bartender was amazing. The karoke was nice. My only problem is the karoke host did not at any time wipe down any mics after countless people used it and with the drinks flowing and people having a good time like me that made me nervous. I wanted so bad to get up there and sing.“
