The food is always exceptional, the service is consistently welcoming, and you can’t beat the oceanfront views — it’s one of the most iconic dining experiences in Malibu. I often bring real estate clients and friends here because it perfectly reflects the luxury coastal lifestyle people fall in love with. Whether it’s a relaxed lunch or a client dinner, the atmosphere and attention to detail make every visit memorable. Definitely one of my Malibu favorites.“

“Absolutely fantastic sushi experience! The food was incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and everything we ordered was delicious. The quality of the fish really stood out, and the menu had a great variety of creative rolls and classic favorites.
The service was excellent, friendly, attentive, and welcoming without being overbearing. The atmosphere was also great for both a casual dinner and a nice night out.
The owner came to our table and was incredibly personable and fantastic. Their warm hospitality made the experience even more enjoyable.
One of the best sushi spots in all of Conejo Valley and Ventura County. We’ll definitely be back!“

“Easily the BEST Sushi in SoCal. Been to many high and low, NOTHING compares to this. Incredible rolls, perfect fusion of sauces and pairings/toppings, pricey yes, but superior in every way. Much better comfort and variety than other version waaay down the road on Ventura Blvd. Their mushroom soup is to die for, and they have not only a soy sauce but a YUZU bottle on the table!“

“Just had the most fabulous meal here. The waiter Gerry, the sushi chefs Jerry and Peter made the most enjoyable experience someone could have. The rolls and sashimi are so fresh just like butter. It’s even better than Sugarfish!! The manager Eddie even took the time to stop at our table and greet us. New favorite spot !!“

“I’m so glad I found this place. Yes it is the BEST sushi in Conejo Valley. The chef knows his fish. We got most of the specials on the board which were mostly from Japan. I will say that it was expensive but so worth it. Maybe stick to the nigiri on the menu and it won’t cost so much. But I’m so glad I do not have to drive into LA for great sushi. I’m a fan.“

“This has been our local secret for some time now, we usually go during quieter times and the food is always terrific, the service prompt and amazing. Tonight we went during peak dinner time and… the food was terrific, the service prompt and amazing! This is a small local business that deserves our continued patronage please give them a try ( added extra their menu extends beyond sushi - udon, ramen, Korean dishes)“

“The sushi is good, the beer and wine selection are not, though the wine that *is* offered is high quality. Service was a bit slow this time around (sat at the sushi bar). The prices are ok, not notably inexpensive, but again, the sushi is decent.“

“Great little sushi spot in Westlake Village. The fish was fresh and the hand rolls and pressed sushi were standout, especially the salmon avocado. The service was excellent: attentive, friendly, and happy to help with the menu. It's a cozy space and seating is limited, so I'd recommend a reservation at peak times. It's a bit pricey, but the quality and hospitality make it worth it. We'll be back!“

“Tomodachi is outstanding. The sushi is always fresh and delicious, and the quality is on another level. The sushi chef makes incredible suggestions and every recommendation has been spot on. You can tell how much pride they take in their work with every plate that comes out. If you can, sit at the sushi bar—it makes the experience even better watching the chef create everything right in front of you. This has quickly become one of my favorite sushi spots, and I can’t wait to come back.“
