“Let’s say it together: Traditional. No sugar sauces or flavorless fish. It’s an experience. Now there’s a way to muddle your way through the menu in a mass sushi kinda way but here one must give in to the menu. We sat at the sushi bar and had an amazing meal with buttery fish and flavors beyond explanation. Now this kind of experience comes with a price tag but if you’re over the bland grind and want an escape that’s just next door, this is where you can accomplish it.“

“We came here when our prior dinner plans fell through. We frequent the planetary sushi in the Woodland Hills/Calabasas area. The menu is different than our usual Sushi Planet. Maybe it's a franchised name? Ordered the edamame and cucumber salad upon sitting because that's mandatory. My kids wanted the bento boxes which aren't on our usual menu. I had a sushi variety from the chef's choice. The bento boxes were huge and included sushi of their choice, teriyaki chicken, white rice and salad. They were delightfully full. My sushi was also great. It's a small dining area with a patio. Really cozy. Probably need to get back out here for those bento boxes.“

Service was ok but it was fairly busy and the place is relatively small so I think they may have been a bit overwhelmed. We eat a lot of sushi and were pleasantly surprised that there is such a good place at reasonable money near where we live. “Love this place for when I really want to treat my family to something special. I had Spanish mackerel sushi which was was smooth and buttery. The waitress suggested the banh-something roll and I was quite pleased with the flavor... the spicy little kick at the end was good and not too spicy.The only hiccup was that the waitress forgot to put my mom's order in, so unfortunately it came much later, but I'm still eating it a 5 stars because the manager took care of it right away and the waitress did a great job otherwise, from answering all our questions, seeming very knowledgeable, and asking if we were there for a special occasion; it was my son's birthday and the free mochi dessert was a lovely touch ?“

“This place is a hidden gem. It’s so good everything from the ramen to the sushi to the beer is delicious everyone is very nice and welcoming. The chef’s are fun and make the best food. I highly recommend the lemon roll and the dou yellowtail roll, and the garlic butter albacore, the a5 wagyu roll was delectable.“
