“Hands Down the Best Sushi in SimiThe most pristine, delicious, generous sushi I have ever had in Simi Valley is at Izakaya Sushi K. Not only do they consistently serve the freshest fish I have experienced, they provide incredibly substantial portions as well. Everything I have ever ordered is made artistically pleasing and every bite is satisfying.I ordered the Lunch Combo for $17.95 this past week and it was beyond amazing. You get two abundant perfectly made rolls and miso soup. I chose the Hot Night Roll which has tempura shrimp with amazing tasting real crab meat and cucumber inside with avocado and spicy tuna outside, and drizzled in eel sauce. My other choice was the Hawaiian Roll which has spicy tuna and cucumber inside with tuna and avocado on the outside, drizzled with eel sauce and spicy mayo. They were incredible. They set the bar so high that nothing compares. I like to tip them well because they deserve to be recognized for being so exceptional. Not only is the food impeccable, they have the kindest, most genuinely gracious and friendly owners.I rarely take time to post reviews, however, they really should be acknowledged for all that they are and their impeccable food. It is the one sushi restaurant I can honestly say I have never had a disappointing experience with. I am looking forward to my next visit and many more after that.Update: Last two pictures are the Superman burrito from today. Completely and generously stuffed full of of deliciousness. The best one I've had, because it's just so fresh. Also priced better than places like Poke Bowl, and Poke Stop, not at such a higher quality. I absolutely recommend!“
“Megu Sushi is the best sushi I've had in the last 10 year in and around Los Angeles. Everything is thoughtfully and delicately prepared. Chef Willy has some amazing sushi specials and rolls. I usually go for the 911 roll and the oaks roll. His 911 roll is the best I've ever had. He sushi cuts are nice and thin and everything melts in your mouth. Since moving to Simi Valley, this has quickly become my go-to spot. Amazing happy hour specials too! Make sure to check those out.“
“My wife and I have been eating sushi on a regular basis for over 20 years. We've had good and bad. Go Fish is some of the best sushi we've ever had. Every piece of yellowtail is so fatty that it's like getting the belly but without paying extra for it. I especially love their Santa Barbara uni. Their Toro is great as well! Occasionally, they have live music outside, which is great!Parking: Massive mall parking lot.Kid-friendliness: This is a family owned business that is kid-friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible.“
“The atmosphere was super intimate and chef was super friendly and attentive. Every dish is a work of art that please ur eyes and palate. Beautiful and delicious. I would totally go again and recommend everyone to at least try once! Thank you chef!“
“The sushi is great! I love the Jessica Roll and the yakisoba is sooo good too! I have been going here for years! The food is always fresh and I've never received a wrong order or a missing item. I love that they take pickup orders a half hour before opening as well!“
“I've been here several times and it's always great. They have a good sized menu with options for all you can eat or regular dining. We go for the sushi, but their teriyaki chicken is quite good too. My favorites are the salmon sashimi, eel hand rolls, crunch roll, and the dynamite (roll or appetizer.) I'm not sure how their AYCE prices compare with other places, but we always get our money's worth and have the best time. Service is prompt and friendly.“
“Haha what are these weird bad reviews saying things taste bland? This place has been exactly the same since I was a kid. Pretty sure even the bowls are the same. This place has always been absolutely amazing! You can get half rice and half noodles. People saying the noodles are bland... that's because they are noodles. You put sauce on them. The rice is perfect. They use a machine. The sauce is a house sauce, so it's unique, same with the hotsauce. I ask for extra of both.Parking: Plenty.Wheelchair accessibility: Right up near the store.“
“A solid sushi option here in Simi. I’ve come here a number of times either with friends, by myself, or ordered to-go. The inside of this place is honestly gorgeous. The only thing that is less than impressive is their “50% off” prices. It’s not really half off, the real price is the “discount”. I get why they do it, but I’m not a fan. Other than that, pretty good food and service. I love getting their baked crawfish (or scallop) roll and the spicy tuna crispy rice. Back in the day when they had AYCE sushi, I loved getting their yellow tail nigiri, basically melts in your mouth. I haven’t gotten it since they took AYCE off the menu, but I’m sure the fish is still great.“
“To the Friendly lady who suggested the Hot Plum Saki. OMG!! Thank you so much for the suggestion of the Hot Plum Saki. It was delish!! The servers were friendly, the food was delishious and no waiting. Wonderful atmosphere. We look forward to visiting them again.“
“Tried this place for the first time. Ordered for pick up. I ordered the spicy chicken and rice plate with a green salad, along with the chicken-rice-veggie bowl. Very tasty and fresh. The chicken was quality with no grizzled, chewy pieces. I will definitely go there again.“
“Best sushi around. Always fresh and delicious. Lots of different choices for everyone, even those that enjoy cooked food.Kid-friendliness: They take great care of the kiddos. So many different options, everyone can find something they enjoy“
“First time here. Had lunch with a friend. I really liked the monkey brains. My friend liked his lunch special but not the soup or dressing on the salad. Service was quick. Place is clean. Nice presentation of meal items. Will return & try other items. Recommend.“
“This our new go to Sushi place. The fish is always fresh, the food is delicious and affordable. The staff is always very friendly. The only negative I could say is the decor is very blah. But the food and service more than make up for it. I ordered the Togyu special, Toro sashimi and seared Wagyu sashimi, and a roll, my wife had the Spicy Tuna on crispy rice, amazing.“
