“This place used to be called something else (Sushi Ai) and we haven’t been back since they sold. Decided to give it a try last night. Unbelievably AWESOME! The fish was so incredible and each dish / roll was AMAZING!!! I’ve been to many delicious sushi places in my time and this was truly a cut above them all!! I would highly recommend them. We will definitely be going back, so if it’s not consistent, I will update my review. As it stands, this is by far some of the best sushi I’ve ever had and that is seriously saying something!!!!“

“Q Sushi is the best! I tried oysters for the first time ever, and they were SO good. I thought they might be weird, but I ended up loving them! The food here is amazing, and everything tasted so fresh. They even gave me a really yummy avocado sushi roll, which I loved, and a little orange snack that was so cute and sweet.
The workers were so nice, and my waitress, Sage, was awesome. She made me feel really special and made sure I had everything I needed. It was such a fun place to eat, and I can’t wait to go back again. you have to try this place.
Kid-friendliness: So fun“
“Great Sushi Bar staring Nhina. He creates some amazing dishes. Love this place!“

“The sushi is good, the beer and wine selection are not, though the wine that *is* offered is high quality. Service was a bit slow this time around (sat at the sushi bar). The prices are ok, not notably inexpensive, but again, the sushi is decent.“

Great ambience with a smile on all employees' faces! Their rocket roll is superb, and the lobster hand roll is always delicious. Shoutout to the owners for always being so welcoming!! ?“

“The service was very attentive. Food was great and well curated. It's been a long time since I've experienced a restaurant with such fast turnaround on everything. Everyone was polite and they cleared used plates immediately, which tends to be a pain point at most sushi based restaurants. Will definitely be returning.“

“It is a Japanese-style dish that is familiar to Japanese people.
It seems to be a popular restaurant that you can't usually make reservations for, so I asked an acquaintance of the local owner to make an appointment.
In one word, Japanese-style creative cuisine
Delicately seasoned with low salt content.
Even without considering the exchange rate, it's very high class and expensive.
Parking: Luxury cars are parked near the entrance; plain cars are sent to far away areas.“

“Food is so delicious and the price was so cheap for the amount! I got the chicken teriyaki bowl and it was 7 dollars and 75 cents not including tax. The bowl was packed to the brim and for less than 10 dollars, the food was so good and really filling.“

“I'm new to the sushi world, and Sumu was the 2nd sushi restaurant I've been to. I like Sumo so much I haven't wanted to try other places. I'm kinda picky and don't try many foods, so I'm easing my way, but so far, I LOVE the Kara Rolls and Hot Rolls best ?“

“The sushi here is FRESHHHH! They have tons of options to choose from, you’ll definitely find the one you like. I love their k-pop roll. And if you like your meat raw on sushi…you MUST try their masa special roll. Every bite of this roll took me to some place in heaven! The only feedback I have for them is their sushi size could be smaller. Too big to fit in my mouth in one go.“

“I was looking for a sushi place and came here. It was not what I thought it would be. It is quite different and that was good. I was tired of the same old thing and needed a change up - and this place filled that need. Everything about it was unique. You sit at a big bar and cook your own food at the counter. The quality of the food was wonderful (cant hide raw food quality) and everything tasted great. The counter person was wonderful as well. The only problem I had was starting the dinner before taking pictures.“

“We had a Ramen bowl and a sashimi and tempura lunch special. The food was good but not particularly special. The flavors were fine, but nothing stood out as exceptional or memorable. It’s a decent option, but not a must-visit if you’re looking for something extraordinary.“

“The fish speaks for itself. If you’re from Agoura Hills, no need to make the drive to Torrance, DTLA, or OC because this place is on par if not better than all the other authentic sushi experiences.
Highly recommend the black snapper, sweet shrimp, and the bluefin tuna.“

“Absolutely love this place. We went for lunch today and it was empty and I was shocked because the service was phenomenal, the fish was so fresh and delicious, and the prices can't be beat. They have amazing lunch specials and a great happy hour! Definitely a hidden gem in Simi!

“TUESDAY FOOD REVIEW...HAI SUSHI (again)...3/5/24! Today we went back to Hai Sushi, located at 1101 E Los Angeles Ave., in Simi Valley, for lunch. We have eaten there many times over the years, as their food is always DELICIOUS!!! I had their Miso Soup, Spring Greens Salad, 911 Roll, Lobster Roll, Shrimp Tempura, Fresh Water Eel, Spicy Scallop Hand Roll, Garlic Edamame, Yellowtail Sushi, and Salmon Sushi. And it was as it always is, fresh and delicious!!!! Definitely Simi Valley's best sushi restaurant!!!“

“Great quality fish, and very large cuts of fish on the sushi pieces. I tried their tuna, salmon, albacore, rock shrimp, oyster, and eel and they were all great. It’s surprisingly hard to find a place to get oyster shooters or at that uni shooters, they have both and theirs are great! We had lovely Service (sitting at the sushi bar), we had our sushi chef making everything very quickly in front of us, a server coming around for little things we forgot like miso soup and drinks, and a third person asking if we needed anything and refilling waters as soon as they were finished. I eat a LOT of fish when I go out for sushi, and like I mentioned before ordered : salmon and albacore sushi pieces, a specialty roll, rock shrimp tempura, crispy tuna rice, multiple miso soups, an oyster shooter, a tea, dessert and I know I’m missing a few tings all for under $100 (for those who know, know that is very good). I grew up going to in my opinion the most incredible sushi joint run by the most lovely elderly Japanese couple, and this is the only place that I feel has come close. We will surly be back soon and often!! If you are a sushi lover like me go and enjoy plenty of really great options.“

“Sarku has been my favorite for many years now. Unfortunately they don't have a location in the valley so I have to wait to visit Bakersfield to enjoy their tasty and amazing ? food. I took my son for his birthday to thousands oaks because it's only 30min away to try their Sarku location, I'm happy to say ? it's also delicious ? thank you!!!“

“Last call is 30 minutes before closing. I went in for baked green mussels and a sashimi salad. They told me they couldn't plate it but would serve me my food in a styrofoam box. I made sure I could eat the mussels when I was served because the only way to eat them is IMMEDIATELY.The mussels were good. Meatier than usual. (I order green mussels from every sushi place I try. ). Meatier = good. Not oversauced. Again, good.Sashimi salad was also good. Plenty of seafood on it. The part that really stood out was the octopus(?) that was on the salad. First of all, it's the first time I've had it on any sashimi salad. Second, it was very flavorful. Very fresh. I said, "yum" aloud (unintentionally) with every bite I had. It was very good. The rest of the salad/sashimi was great. Very small pieces so you get a good mix of different fish and and salad with each bite. It really is a salad. Other sashimi salads I try differ, in the sense that you have to decide whether your next bite is either salad greens or it's one fish at a time but this was very mixed. If you're hungry, it doesn't matter what gets swallowed, or in what order.- Ultimately, even though the food I ordered was at the end of the day, it was still very fresh and tasty.- The staff accommodated me and what I wanted.- The price was about $40. $25 for the salad and $10 for the mussels. Plus a super small tip. [[(but only because I wasnt being waited on and didn't require much service, (which is totally fine). Just throw that in a box and I'll be on my way.... no beverages, no dishes. Just an end-of-the-night sale. $5 was adequate for this particular situation otherwise I would have tipped more.]]
Parking: This is a small place in a business complex. You would be surprised there is a sushi place here. It took 4 u turns and re-routing on Maps to actually locate this restaurant. They do last call 30 before close.
Wheelchair accessibility: There are only two rows of tables with very wise center aisle. Plenty of space for wheelchairs. Most places would have tried to squeeze in another ride of tables but sushi planet did not. They have a wide area to walk/roll through without bumping into tables or chairs or other people eating.- Plenty of space.“

“Used to Live in Agoura years ago came in, herd so much nice things about this place. WOW it was fabulous!! I wish We had a place like this were I live. The manager was such a nice professional young man. Food was great but mostly impressed with the Manager. Ryan just came up to me and asked if everything was good and if I need anything. Who does that? I have never been to a restaurant where the manager just comes up for no reason. Ill be back.“

“This is hands down the best sushi restaurant in the Thousand Oaks / Westlake Village area (and I’ve eaten at them all, multiple times (except the bad ones, that was a one time thing)). This is a family owned, traditional Japanese restaurant that prides itself on great quality ingredients - and it shows in every aspect of the experience. It’s not cheap - but good sushi never is - but it’s equally not overpriced (I guess you can call that value for money). Go here, it’s great and you’ll love the food.“

“This place is AMAZING! Not too many quality all you can eat restaurants around the area, but I’m so glad I found this one. I’m a tough critic when it comes to sushi restaurants but at $40 for AYCE sushi dinner for this quality is unheard of nowadays. The food was delicious with generous amount of fish and the service was super quick and great. I highly recommend this place.“

“Waba grill is one of those places where you are bound to be happy with a rice plate. My favorite go to is the half chicken and half beef plate. Both meats are too good to choose from. They also have a new value menu which makes some of the plates a bit more affordable. You are bound to spend about $10+ but it is worth it.Make sure to get extra waba sauce on the side as you may need it.“

“Sushi is ok. Since Covid, it's a different quality. Was there for in-person dining today and they added a 15% service charge on the bill. When I inquired about what it was for the waitress said, "it's your tip for us". I was like, "last I knew I decided in the tip for you". Saw a sign on way out referencing 10% but they added 15. I don't mind tipping for great service...Ever but I expectto get it. Diners beware.“

“The quality of the food and service was great! We ordered several small dishes plus the omakase and the dishes were high quality and fresh. The atmosphere was quaint but accommodating. Sake selection was solid and we ordered a nice Dassai Junmai Daigingo. It is on the higher price point and portions were slightly smaller for west coast but worth it still.“
