“CJ and Carl made tonight's dinner the best meal we've had in Mammoth.

All the wait staff did an amazing job!

What really made our meal was when the staff realized that we liked rare meat, they went out of their way to bring us the best rare pieces. THAT, is what separates a good restaurant from a great restaurant!

The ambiance was perfect, it wasn't loud and they sat us right next to the fire! The tables even have little lights to better see the food, it was just a really nice touch. The velvet chairs were some of the nicest I've ever sat on in a restaurant.

The standout dishes for myself and my partner were the marinated skirt steak and the picanha.

Bottom line, tonight was a great meal in a classy restaurant with attentive staff.

“We come here every time we are in Mammoth. There is usually a wait, but we do it. We'll wait an hour if needed for a norishing bowl of pho. I usually get the chicken, large and share it with my husband. My son goes for rare steak pho and a boba. Staff are super friendly and find the time to make a joke or stop by the table to check on you. Love them!”

“The Mill is our go-to for a midday break from the slopes. The bartenders here are fantastic – friendly, attentive, and always make us feel welcome.
The pulled pork and tri-tip sandwich is absolutely delicious. Perfectly seasoned, tender, and just what you need to refuel before heading back out. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it the ideal spot to recharge.
We stop here every time we're at Mammoth, and it never disappoints. Highly recommend!”

“I came around 7pm to hang for an hour before closing on a few nights and enjoyed an awesome combination of excellent wine, punk rock ambiance, and an awesome bartender that sort of felt like a Spanish metropolitan Tapas bar. I loved it and will keep coming back. This is my kind of apres ski hangout. It’s a very relaxing one of a kind experience to get this in the sierras at Mammoth, it feels like another world within another world.”

“A great local coffee shop. They have a lot of different flavors for signature lattes and seasonal lattes. Their breakfast burritos are really good too! I love stopping by in the morning for a latte and burrito. The line can be long in the morning, but you can order online ahead of time for pickup to avoid waiting in line.”

“This was a lovely stop for morning eats. Fresh quiche and fritatas, awesome fig pastry, mac and cheese warmed up. What a wonderful bakery shop where the goods are made in house, lemon bar was perfect too. Definitely returning to try out more delicious dishes.”

“Stopping by McCoy station is must for us on a skiing day. Spacious dining area and friendly service.
I recommend soups, it's not expensive (comparing to $17 Pizza), and you got free bread.
It's easy to access everywhere from McCoy station.”

“Hi - I travelled all over California, from Australia. Black Velvet Coffee made us HANDS DOWN the best cup of coffee in the state. The staff were friendly, the venue is Excellent - MAN - I can't wait to get back to Mammoth to have another coffee :) note: most Australians drink Espresso - and these guys KNEW how to properly prepare espresso and frothed milk drinks. THANK GOD for this shop! Y'all rock!”

“For many years, long before it was called the outpost, I've enjoyed outdoor lunch at the bottom of Chair 14. Very relaxing and laid back, it is a great place for a rest and to soak up some sun while taking a break from the skiing. A warm sunny day and low wind is a must as there is no wind break or inside seating. There are ample and clean restrooms available, and like all places in Mammoth free water. They've added a take out bar and the take out food stop keeps changing the name, it is currently called the Melt House, but the food is always good. You can bring your own food and drinks and just relax at the picnic tables. I've never seen it so crowded that you couldn't find somewhere to sit, and most people don't mind sharing their table with you. The have added a fire place in the last couple of years but that is usually crowded. Since it is far away from the Main Lodge, it is rarely crowded and it does feel like you are getting away from it all.”

“Locals parking lot and puppy lovers. Access to only 2 chairs vs main or canyon which offers more chair access. Be aware of huge lines when u park there. Chair 2 & 10 usually have frequent holds.”

“We picked up pizza and wings and it was all excellent! Cool and comfortable atmosphere with tons of seating and a huge bar. The open kitchen is a nice touch and the order kiosk for take-out was super easy to use. Staff was very friendly and welcoming, but maybe most importantly, the pizza was awesome! The crust is super flavorful and the red sauce is far from generic. Looking forward to trying more of the fun options on the menu… Well done!”

“First time trying Lakefront. The lunch menu is small and it definitely took a while to get the food, but once it came it was delicious. I got the wagyu burger cooked exactly as I like. Waiters were friendly and the scenery was gorgeous.”

“Bloody Marys are masterfully crafted, perfectly peppery, and just the right amount of spiciness. The Mill is the perfect on mountain spot to grab a drink and hang out in a lounge chair. I got an order of the chili cheese fries and was pleasantly surprised!While there's not a lot of indoor seating, there's plenty of outdoor hightops by the bar that open up quickly as well as patio tables and lounge chairs closer to the lifts.”

“No idea if the food here is objectively good but I'm still obsessed with their breakfast (esp the fluffy pancakes) weeks after stopping to eat on my JMT trip. I tried to make my own pancakes at home because I couldn't stop thinking about them! A bit pricey but they give you so much food, it was amazing!”

“Always love the Yodler after a day of skiing. This last visit was extra awesome - sitting outside the server (Ailan?) was fantastic as was the chicken sandwich and salad, local brews and perfect views. Love the Yodler experience!”

“Incredible place but it is very busy, for good reason. It’s hard to find a Dutch bakery anymore so I was very excited to find many of my favorites…especially the butter almond cookies. The cream puff is a definite must — actual real filling, not just a bunch of whip cream.”

There are a few places in that area in the village that are just tourist traps overpriced for service poor quality I am so surprised at the quality of the New York Deli Bakery it's just good and cheap and they really catered to all crowds don't even pack your lunch for the day if you're going to go on the mountain or for a hike the warm packet for you it's an awesome place”
