“5 stars in my opinion. You have to go here if you are in Mammoth. It's a bit pricey ($60 at the time of my visit), but the unlimited meat option is the best hands down. Everything is cooked PERFECTLY. I mean, it tastes and feels like someone just made it seconds ago, because it was! They don't skimp on you either. They have waiters cycling through the grill all night long. Even if it's crowded, you'll get plenty of meat. We even kept forgetting to flip our little colored cork to let the server know we were ready for another round of meat, but he would stop anyway and check with us. This place is so worth it.
The salad bar is nice too if you want a side that isn't meat, or you have dietary restrictions. I ordered the unlimited meat, but I definitely made multiple trips to the salad bar for their tomato/mozzarella slices and their farofa dip (fried casava flour).
As for atmosphere, the restaurant is well taken care of. Very clean, organized, and pretty. There weren't really any booths where we were seated. It's pretty much open seating at individual tables from what I recall.
This was really good dining and service and I can't wait to come again. You really have to go here, it's worth every single penny. Come hungry! I really hope this business lasts”

“Mammoth’s best kept secret. We chanced upon this food truck while looking for some quick and easy breakfast and I consider ourselves lucky to have found it. Service is great, the crepes were spot on and the eating area in front of the truck is very airy with ample seating and good parking options.”

“A must-visit in Mammoth. Super tasty, authentic Cuban/Puerto Rican dishes all handmade on site by the owner/chef. For the real experience, Dos Alas is a fantastic dining option.”

“I eat here 2 to 3 times a week. Everything I have tried has been great but the quesabirria and the carne ranchera are my favorites. Fantastic food! Great daily specials! This place cares about the food they make”

“What a unique and extraordinary place this is. Sophisticated but friendly with superlative food and delightful staff. Nothing was too much trouble, an attentive manager, a bar tender who really knows how to read a room and live beautiful piano playing made the two evenings I spent here a real highlight of my trip to California. The elk medallions with risotto I would highly recommend. I have never tasted anything quite like it.”
“We had a blast., it's hard to find parking and seating., you must get there early to get those luxuries. We arrived at about 8:30am on Thanksgiving Day and we're able to park just outside of the parking lot and we were able to find a table outside. There is a bar inside, food and bathrooms.”

“The ice latte I got here was delicious! My husband also really enjoyed the spiced apple cider. My only complaint about this place is the lady who served us gave us some odd glances that made us feel a little unwelcome. Despite that, I would still go back.”

“Stopping by McCoy station is must for us on a skiing day. Spacious dining area and friendly service.
I recommend soups, it's not expensive (comparing to $17 Pizza), and you got free bread.
It's easy to access everywhere from McCoy station.”
“For many years, long before it was called the outpost, I've enjoyed outdoor lunch at the bottom of Chair 14. Very relaxing and laid back, it is a great place for a rest and to soak up some sun while taking a break from the skiing. A warm sunny day and low wind is a must as there is no wind break or inside seating. There are ample and clean restrooms available, and like all places in Mammoth free water. They've added a take out bar and the take out food stop keeps changing the name, it is currently called the Melt House, but the food is always good. You can bring your own food and drinks and just relax at the picnic tables. I've never seen it so crowded that you couldn't find somewhere to sit, and most people don't mind sharing their table with you. The have added a fire place in the last couple of years but that is usually crowded. Since it is far away from the Main Lodge, it is rarely crowded and it does feel like you are getting away from it all.”

“Enjoyed dinner at Vulcania. Overall decent dinner but not memorable. Italian wedge was pretty plain and bit too much dressing. The calamari was well seasoned and tasted good but certain pieces were soggy inside. The pasta was good but not memorable. We did see many people getting the pizza so maybe that is better?”
“FREE! Really like parking here and using it as "a home base" for our ski day. Small lot fills quickly, but you can drop off skiers close to the lifts and find ample parking along side of road. We bring a picnic lunch and usually manage to get a closer spot at lunchtime. The Mill Cafe has decent food choices, too.”

“Cozy and chill restaurant went to get ramen after slopes but they were out of one of the ingredients for the vegetarian friendly ramen so I ended up ordering miso soup and Gyazo which was yummy. Our server was friendly and on point. Would definitely go back.”
“I saw a review on crypto investment that changed my story for good. I never believed it at first but after much convincing by my account manager in the person of Mrs Craig Vanessa I decided to give it a trial with just $5,000 even though there was a lower cost of investment. Starting with this, I made a profit of $35,500 in the first week. I am sharing this here for those that may have an interest. Mrs. Craig Vanessa is genuine and her style of trade is unique. Completely top-notch and different from the rest. Contact her today and you will not regret it. Send her a DM on WhatsApp via the number on her Facebook: Mrs Craig Vanessa”

“Bloody Marys are masterfully crafted, perfectly peppery, and just the right amount of spiciness. The Mill is the perfect on mountain spot to grab a drink and hang out in a lounge chair. I got an order of the chili cheese fries and was pleasantly surprised! While there's not a lot of indoor seating, there's plenty of outdoor hightops by the bar that open up quickly as well as patio tables and lounge chairs closer to the lifts.”

“We picked up pizza and wings and it was all excellent! Cool and comfortable atmosphere with tons of seating and a huge bar. The open kitchen is a nice touch and the order kiosk for take-out was super easy to use. Staff was very friendly and welcoming, but maybe most importantly, the pizza was awesome! The crust is super flavorful and the red sauce is far from generic. Looking forward to trying more of the fun options on the menu… Well done!”

“Best place to end our snow day!! Comfy, hospitable, and chill. Pretzels are huge, very tasty, warm, and are complimented with charcuterie items. Indoor or outdoor, enjoy it with family, friends, and meet new friends.”
“Great little spot on the mountain to grab a bite. Minimal lines...serves soups and grilled cheese sandwiches. There's also a bar with a few beers on tap, and canned beers.Couple of fire pits to sit around and chill”
“Love this place! First time here and worth to eat after doing trails. Perfect setting in the woods. They open as early as 7 am for breakfast till 10 am and reopens for lunch at 12 noonIce cream was creamy!! Not sure if its locally made but it taste so. The root beer float was perfect thirst quencher. The tuna melt was heavenly!! I can’t forget how tasty it was even though its a simple sandwich. The employees are kind. Kudos to the sweet lady who stirs up desert and taking orders at the same time. She delightfully served the food in our picnic table and was so accommodating.Located in stop 10 red meadows road which is accessible during summer season only”

“Food was decent. My meal was tasty but not killer. Would eat it again, for sure.
The thing that made me really happy was how bi-cultural/bilingual the place is. The service is very fast and efficient, which I super appreciate, but when the server hit me, a white dude who is literally in the middle of an unwanted move back from years in Latin America, with a "¿Todo bien?" about my meal, that was like a hug from a stranger. More than half of the clientele was Spanish speaking.
Is the whole town like this? Gonna have to vacation here if it is.”

“We arrived around 7:30 p.m. there was no one there, the service was super fast and the person at reception made the effort to explain to us and speak gently because we are not tourists with a really very nice big smile. The burgers are good and delicious fresh fries and well served super fast food.”

“Okay now all I can say, is that I ordered the three enchiladas dinner combo they had advertised for 13.77 and it included rice, beans, and an iced drink. We ordered to go and I went back to that to-go container three times even though I was full after the first visit... that delicious enchilada smell kept me going back until I finished it. If I go back to Mammoth Mountain I'm eating at this place again absolutely no question about it. I paid 15 dollars for a meal I'll remember for years to come...”

“What a lame establishment. Have some decorum. When good business walks into your restaurant, you take their order. Not stare at them and walk by 5 times when you don’t see menus or silverware of anything in front of them for 25 minutes. Unless you don’t like money. That would make sense. Hopefully you’re not going out of business 😘”

“Hi - I travelled all over California, from Australia. Black Velvet Coffee made us HANDS DOWN the best cup of coffee in the state. The staff were friendly, the venue is Excellent - MAN - I can't wait to get back to Mammoth to have another coffee :) note: most Australians drink Espresso - and these guys KNEW how to properly prepare espresso and frothed milk drinks. THANK GOD for this shop! Y'all rock!”

“They have the best donuts and pastries, hands down! Everything I've tried has been good. They cut the turkey fresh for their sandwiches. Everyone is very friendly, and the atmosphere is welcoming.
I love this place! I grew up in California, my family would visit Schat's in Bishop whenever we were up that way. I haven't lived in CA for a very long time, but we visit periodically. I discovered the Schat's Bakery in Mammoth a couple years ago on one of our trips. Now it's a must on our list - we go miles out of our way to get some baked goods; & we get extra to take on the road with us!”

“The best restaurant we ate at during our trip to Mammoth Lakes by far! A very nice, relaxing, and delicious meal, with excellent service. I ordered a Manhattan which was generous and very tasty. The beef stroganoff dish was delicious and very satisfying after a long day of hiking at Devil's Postpile. For desert I ordered the warm chocolate brownie a la mode, which was also very good. The wine list was excellent also. We had a split of the L'Ecole Syrah which was perfect for the meal. I'll definitely return on my next visit to the area!”
