“They say it used to exist in Korea, but is now almost gone. The ice cream is mixed once on a cold stone plate and then served. There are two flavors to choose from in the large size, and you can mix them or serve them separately. Chocolate was better than vanilla.“

“Manhattan Beach. YOU SHOULD GET 3 SCOOPS BUT 2 IS OK. 1 scoop was $6.25 and 2 was $6.75. 3 was $7 something. If you like toppings, the banana split is the way to go for $10.25. There were some seats outside, but this place was more like a take out place. Walk the beach and go to the promenade. The museum wasn't interesting.

“Walking distance from my place in Beverly Grove L.A. and boy am I glad. First found them in Manhattan and was delighted when they opened here. Good old chocolate cake does it for me, tho sometimes I swing vanilla, & the BF loves the Banana Pudding. Gotta say I'm not a fan of their new prepackaged cake slices. I prefer seeing it sliced from the whole cake right before my very eyes the way Mom did it and God intended. The way they have slices now, in stacks of plastic boxes, makes it seem more like you're getting them from a vending machine than an old-time bakery. I guess it makes transactions quicker, but I hope they reconsider.“

In our exchange, I saw all the beautiful sweets and goodies she makes and she was so generous as to send me a cake to try! Even though it came from all the across the US, her bundt cake was so soft, and so moist, and the flavor was just so right, that the cake didn't survive the photo I planned to take of it, because by then it had been eaten lol. “Usually my go to sprinkles since we don’t have one that’s closer. It’s between this one and Newport but more often Manhattan wins. We got here a little early so they weren’t quite open yet. We waited between 10-15 min for them to open. They opened on time or a couple min earlier and the girl who was working was very nice and helpful. I got a box of 6 cupcakes ( red velvet, triple cinnamon x2, chocolate marshmallow, carrot and a strawberry ) along with an order of mini red velvet cookies and a salted caramel chocolate chip cookie in a jar (not sure what they were called) but I won’t be getting the jar dessert again, it was too sweet and just too much. But everything else was good like always.“

Each cupcake tastes how it looks, the great music taste and air conditioning makes it all the more friendly and especially the workers. “Low key ice cream joint, don't be turned off by the lack of decor or sketchy area the flavors are actually good! I parked in the lot on the side, most of the spots are 15 min only so I would try to find a parking spot in the lot other than the street. We got a triple with pistchio cucumber and Turkish coffee. All different and intriguing flavors. definitely get the unique flavors as opposed to your standard chocolate chip since you can get that anywhere.“

“You should stop by this kiosk, they have several locations in Los Angeles, we’ve been to all of them depending on where we are ?. All the cupcakes taste exactly the same no matter which location you purchase them from. There are over a dozen flavors to choose from ( lemon meringue, chocolate marshmallow, triple cinnamon, banana, s’mores, lemon bar, strawberry, chocolate, confetti to name a few) but less options from the kiosk.“

“Five stars for the woman who worked there on Saturday. She made me my oreo, sweet cream and sprinkles on top. In a waffle cup. Kind of pricey but it hit the spot. Some women spotted me with my ice cream and commented on how good it looked. I told them where I got it. Little did they know how much effort I went through to get it. Ie all the driving and talking to other Cold Stones to find the best store.“
