“My husband and I just had dinner here. I have been looking forward to the beet salad all week and it did not disappoint! He had the Ribeye steak with a lobster tail and it was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The prime dip and fries were amazing and the key lime pie and Blackout cake were as well. Our server Natalie was phenomenal. We are looking forward to trying the rest of the menu. Thank you for the wonderful dining out experience Tin Lantern Bar and Grill!!“

“First time in earlier this week. I came in with a hankering for pastrami but their Italian Melt was too tempting to walk away without! I loved it! Salami, Capocola, Prosciutto, Mortadella, Housemade Marinara, Melted Provolone ( I opted for pepper jack), Onions and Pepperoncinis!!!! I'll be back for the pastrami though too. Count on it!😊“

“This is a small local Auburn business. The owner cooked the food for us with a smile and great customer service! Came here with kids, and they loved the burgers, too. The price is a little expensive, but it's worth it. Got pickled fries. you must try if you are adventurous. Free parking on the back, and great sitting indoor and outside. Great jewel of Aulburn!“

“I have lived in Foresthill, CA for over 40 years. I Remember the days when Black Bear opened. Every time I have family in Area, just need a great burger, little late going home and do not want to cook or just because i want a meal, I have ate at Brown Bear so many times over the last 40 years. Over 500 times with over 2000 customers with me. Understand, I have Managed restaurants for 20 years and it is one of those things that I can do. I can see behind the scene by seeing the front. In other words, I do not have to walk in the back in order to understand if it is clean, keeped, managed. By seeing all the rest it tells me if Management and Employees are following values and procedures which makes a great restaurant. I have never had any issue with the Auburn, CA restaurant. Not one. Great food, great portioned size meals, fresh items, friendly seivice, and most important very clean. Even down to the lights and bottom side of tables. I also should add that for the price, I personally think it is great because I love having half of my meal 5 hours later. Visit Auburn Brown Bear Restaurant and prove me wrong.“

“Just had my boys rehearsal dinner at this wonderful location. The banquet room was perfect for the 23 people that were at the dinner. Jennifer, the owner, was very easy to deal with and was very attentive to my family and guest. Erica, the server was super and made the evening flow perfectly. “A friend and I stopped in while traveling. The place was busy for a 4:00 in the afternoon. The service was refreshing, friendly helpful and fast. excelled. Menu was huge. Tons of things to try. I loved my Mexican salad. So yummy. I added TRI to and it was a huge amount of meat. The avocado was perfectly ripe. My friend had the BLT and it was Huge and she said tasted great. We decided to try the bread pudding dessert and it was warm and so good, we added ice cream on top and well AMAZING! It was also large. The waitress was very attentive. We over tipped because all in all we were in and out of there in 45 minutes and back on the road. We both want to come back and bring our husbands.“

“Best BBQ we have ever had! We travel from Citrus Heights to Auburn just for the food and the friendship! Keep up the good work! Singh smokes his own meat and has his own homemade BBQ sauce. We have tried his chicken and his ribs and they are always A+++ in our books. We always have his macaroni salad as well. You won’t go wrong with anything on his menu. WE would give it more than 5 stars if we could.“

“We love Max's from SanFran. The food is very consistent, but the service has been questionalbe for the past 10 years of stopping in Auburn from Reno. Seems like they only cater to locals and don't care about travelers. Example: We were seated today. Cashier cleared and wiped table but did not set the table, give menus or even ask about drinks. Took another 15 minutes for our server to appear, and she only brought napkins. Took another 10 minutes to get menus and silverware. When the order was taken, food came fast. We only spent an hour there, but when you are paying 75.00 for lunch of 3 people, I expect a little more gratitude. I know serving is hard, and they depend on tips, but here it seems to be expected, and they don't want to earn it. We will continue to go there, but we know what to expect.

“Local favorite. This place has Never dissapointed. Beer is always great with one or two new offerings every time we've visited. We love the My Friday and the always classic Gold Digger flagship. For food I heartily recommend the fried chicken plate or sandwich. Mahi Mahi tacos are also wonderful. Burgers are awesome and fries are tasty. Staff are kind, service is top notch, and to go crowlers, growlers, and 4/6 packs a treat. Just today I found the crowlers are now screw tops so you don't have to finish the whole thing in one sitting if you don't want to! A++ will return again again and again.“

“My Tuesday men's group, mostly seniors, played The Ridge yesterday and had a good round. It would have been a great round; however, it's still soggy from the December rains, like all local courses. The cart path only conditions slowed play to about a 5 hour round which is understandable. The course was in very good shape for the damp conditions. The green's were very fast which made things interesting, but fun. a few of our uphill putts went past the hole, stopped, then roll back toward or past the hole.“

“I enjoyed working here & eating here. They gave me time off, & way back when, I modeled here for the fun of it & sold a graduation dress in the process of learning how to do modeling. It was a fun place to work. I don’t remember the cooks name, however long ago, I had the privilege of working next to him as the prep cook among a great many other things. “I have always liked this restaurant, but I haven't been there since it changed ownership a couple years ago. It used to have some Indian items on the menu that I liked, but now the menu is completely American. I made it before 4 pm, so I had the lunch hamburger and a $5 mug of beer. It was the best hamburger I've had in Auburn, and it came with a large portion of fries that were delicious. The atmosphere was attractive and the place wasn't too noisy. All in all, Flames was a great place for lunch.“
