“Incredible atmosphere and food and beverage!“

“I always love a stay at the Ojai Valley Inn!! I usually come with my husband and kids. When we visit we love the kids pool, kids club, tennis courts, bike rental and driving range. Along with the fabulous restaurants where we can see them running around while we eat. All the rooms we’ve stayed in have always been large and amazing. This trip I brought my mom and sister for their birthdays. I booked it through American Express Fine Hotels. This gave us $70 towards breakfast everyday, $100 hotel credit, chocolates in the room, 4PM checkout and a room upgrade if available. When we arrived they said they were fully booked and could not offer a room upgrade. I have always been it great rooms and expected the basic room to be the same. Unfortunately it wasn’t. It was small, had a small balcony with only 2 chairs- there were three of us, and a view of dirt. I’m not one to complain but we were there to celebrate my mom’s and sister’s birthday so I asked if we could be moved to a room that could at least have room for all 3 of us in the balcony. They were able to find a room in Shangrila and it was great. Beautiful views of the surrounding hills and a huge balcony with loungers and a table with 4 chairs. Thank you to the manager that switched our room!!! We enjoyed all the amenities at the Inn. Delicious food at the Oak and great with gluten allergy. - the night hostess and front manager were rude but everything else wonderful. We used the fitness area and attended yoga and water Pilates which we loved. We went to the artist cottage and made succulents. Really enjoyed the artist cottage happy hour with a glass of wine and potpourri. Adult pool was super relaxing and service there was excellent. As with every time I leave there I can’t wait to go back. It is an amazing resort with excellent service.“

“The menu is somewhat limited but everything is wonderful, and the staff are always attentive and kind. Whether you are visiting the golf course for the day or an ojai local, this place will welcome you like an old friend. The views of the sunset are truly majestic.“

“Spendy, but isn’t everything these days? Favorites are the breakfast burritos (huge!) and the chicken fried steak. Beautiful view, friendly staff. Linger a little in the parking lot and soon you will see the Great Blue Heron and white heron activity in the eucalyptus grove across the way. That’s worth a few of those dollars right there - what a treat!“

“Very friendly employees, great service. We've brought 4 different people and everybody fell in love. The lobster Mac cheese is amazing, burgers are huge good quality food & reasonable prices for portion size and overall quality.

“Food was excellent, servers friendly, but service iffy. One night our mains didn't come for a very long time. We called our server over who assumed they had come. Food arrived shortly after but missing one item. Figured food at sat somewhere since fish dried out. Next meal ordered drinks and one course at same time. Food came before the wine. Seems communication among serving and kitchen needs to be revamped.“

“The Tico salad had only 6 beans, about 5 or 6 pieces of meat and the huge whole leafs of butter lettuce were why the food got 3 stars. I really expected more beans & meat for the price & also think the meat was unflavored. It would be better if they chopped the lettuce even a little as if out on a date there's zero chance of eating that gracefully. It became messy and hard to eat due to the whole leaves.

Their Songbird was delicious and the ale my date had was good too according to him. There's no rating spot for the drinks but 5 out of 5 on the drinks at least. This will be a stop in the future when in Ojai looking for a quick drink. The seating area is seat yourself, which is nice, you can choose where you'd like to eat. There's fans above the area and I believe I saw heaters for when the weather is colder. Cute area on the corner faces their main street. Parking on the street is probably easier than in the Plaza they're at as it's rather small for a lot of businesses to share.

“Dazzled by the charcuterie board! Incredible variety of quality components from plentiful cheeses (we received 4 types) to fruits (both dried and fresh) to nuts (candied and roasted) and fresh toasted bread! Great patio, ambiance and service ✨“

“cool spot had a mini classic car event nice people offering us free cake from a bday event some harley riders there everyone really nice I didn't try the food but it looked good my only issue was the disgusting porta potty they had in the parking lot, bring your nose plugs and your own hand sanitizer...“

“We travel for food and Little Sama Ojai is on our list! We have not found another restaurant with a better cauliflower dish (Popcorn Cauliflower) and the fried chicken sandwich is wonderful! Twice we were in Ojai for four days and each time we were at Sama Sama almost every day! Just go! You will not be disappointed! BTW: It is in the same building as a brewery so there are many varieties of beer available, but if you are not a beer fan (like me) they serve wine also.“

“Came here for an early dinner as part of a girls day out last minute. A hidden gem! The food and drinks were great, service was also great, but that might be because we were the only ones in the whole restaurant. I hope they can drum up more business, especially on a Saturday night. The interior ambience and decor needs a refresh and the hostess podium outside needs to be manned. The menu needs an update as well, this place has a lot of potential just needs to be marketed better. We would come again next time we're in town.“
