“While not an expert I grew up in Detroit eating gyros as often as hamburgers. Hands down the best gyro I have had in ages. Warm soft pita, crisp fresh veggies, great house made sauce and really tasty gyro meat. And always friendly service from the owner. Small seating area so may need to plan to do take out versus eat in.”

We went with our kids and ordered a variety of dishes—especially the sizzling stone pot bibimbap and the fried chicken, which were absolutely outstanding. “After nearly 3 years of telling myself, “One day I’ll finally try a donut from Bob’s Donuts,” that day finally came—and it was worth the wait!

I’ve always been a loyal customer to my local donut shop in San Rafael, but today I had the chance to stop by Bob’s Donuts in Mill Valley, and I’m so glad I did. As I met Ryan Murphy, a young high school student who works there and truly represents the shop with excitement and positivity. His energy was refreshing, and he took the time to ask what kind of donuts I usually go for. After I told him that chocolate is my go-to, he highly recommended I try theirs—and I’m glad I listened.

The chocolate donut was impressive—great texture, rich flavor, and clearly made with care. Bob’s Donuts has a delicious recipe that sets them apart. They’re definitely more than just another donut shop—they’re a local gem at 252 Almonte Blvd, Mill Valley, CA 94941.

However, I ordered delicious food and enjoyed it when I got home.
I was grateful that the friendly staff told me about nearby parks where I could eat and explained things well.
There is also a parking lot, so park comfortably.”

An all-you-can-eat lunch buffet (hooray!), increasingly hard to find anywhere in the Bay Area post-Covid. A window into the kitchen adds to the dining experience, but also indicative of the high-quality standards of food preparation.

Chicken Tandoori is excellently marinated and perfectly chargrilled. Bone-in Lamb Curry, Vegetable Curry, and Butter Chicken are highlights. Tastes are spicy, but subdued and refined.

Worth a stop-in when driving up from the city to Marin. An excellent meal to warm up with after spending the day on a hike or along the coast.”

“We had friends coming to visit from Arizona and wanted to take them somewhere special for dinner. We heard about the newly reopened Paseo in Mill Valley and decided to try it. We were welcomed by the friendly manager Kevin as we entered. After giving us a tour we were seated in the main dining room by a cozy fireplace. We ordered cocktails along with a charcuterie board and roasted Brussels sprouts. At the recommendation of our knowledgeable waiter Will, my sister and I ordered the beet salad. One of our guests had the Market Green Salad and another raved about her Potato Leek Soup. Wanting to try different entrees we ordered California Halibut, Braised Osso Busco, Mary's Chicken Breast, Rib Eye Steak, and Roasted Duck Breast with orange glaze. The taste and presentation exceeded our expectations. As we were enjoying coffee along with Chocolate Indulgence, a (layered torte) and a Peanut Crunch Bar, Chef Branden approached our table to see how we enjoyed our meal. We all told him how much we enjoyed the food, his beautiful presentation, and the smiling staff. We had a great five star experience and will definitely be back!”

“I get dozens of bagels from New York Bagels in Strawberry Village every Saturday with my kids; it’s become our weekend ritual. The bagels are fresh, chewy, and come in tons of flavors. We love the friendly, speedy service and the option to buy by the dozen. A top spot for bagel lovers in the area!”

“A staple Mill Valley place to visit. Seems very popular on the daily with locals and visitors alike. I’m not a big coffee-drinker but I’ve been several times and can attest to the great atmosphere and pretty good food/drink options. Food options include sandwiches, pastries, and sweet/savory waffles. Indoor and outdoor seating available. However, because it’s so busy, if you sit down to the left of the entrance (opposite side from the counter where orders are placed), it’ll be hard to hear your order called. At least my experience has been this way where I’m waiting a while for my order to be called, finally get tired of waiting, walk over to check in with staff, only to find that my order is sitting on the counter but I never heard it called.

I got the veggie frittata sandwich and enjoyed it but generally, the food is a bit pricey for the portion size in my opinion. The drink I got was fairly good I think but honestly, not very memorable/standout because I don’t really remember it.”

“The red curry was Amazing! I got the curry with vegetables and tofu. It had just enough spice to enhance the flavors instead of overpowering them- not too spicy and very delicious. My friend and I both loved our dishes. I’m curious about the other dishes but I’d honestly go back to get the exact same one again because it was so good. I’ve thought of it several times since I’ve eaten there, which means it was quite literally a memorable experience! I’m definitely coming back and recommending to more friends! There is indoor and outdoor seating- we chose to sit outside because it was a nice sunny day.”

“I'm a local Strawberrian so I may be biased, but this place is amazing. And the price range is unbeatable. Its probably not going to be what you expect from your average take-out taqueria spot so open your mind and appreciate simplicity done simply perfect.

I went and got a breakfast burrito the other day, and it was as expected, UNTIL the EGGS were WAY TOO F'ING SALTY!!!! It was like un-ediable... and that's like really hard to do, and I expect better from Lucinda's. Just season the food correctly, and maybe it was a new guy; I'm not even sure if they cook the eggs to order, but I kinda think they do.... like the LAST THING YOU DO AS A COOK IS HAVE A HEAVY HAND WITH THE SALT!!!!!!

I expect my next breakfast burrito to be flawless, I wish I had the nerve to call in, cuz that cook needs to be corrected if he or she normally puts that much salt on the f"n eggs. Maybe they thought they were seasoning potatoes; def need a lot of salt for them taters. But the eggs also seem to have the cheese mixed in which add a bit of salt alone!”

“One of those nice neighborhood Peet's across the street from Equator, another coffee shop. As always good coffee, nice and hot, and pleasant staff. Street parking in downtown Mill Valley is a bit dice sometimes but often parking literally up the side street around the corner.”

The four of us shared the arugula salad - loved the dressing- and the Italian breads. Highlights were the eggplant parm, pesto pappardelle, scampi and chicken marsala. “This is probably the best pizza I ever had. I really was surprised by the variety of pizza toppings they offered. We ordered a half n half of the Shroomer and the Lemon Arugla and the Kale Ceasar. That salad was amazing super simple and fresh just parmesan croutons and dressing. The pizza's were delicious I loved the 6 different types of mushrooms on the Shroomer. The egg on the lemon arugula was surpsringly delightful. I love the lemon zest that their ranch has and I highly recommend getting the chili paste it's an excellent different way of doing the chili flakes. I think I like the paste more than the flakes you get at most pizza places.”

“Great dinner at Oni Kuma in Mill Valley next to Whole Foods. Food was excellent. A little of everything, from sushi to Yakitori and udon. Fresh and delicious. Service was great too. An easy place to go for Japanese food.
