“My husband and I (30yo) spent our anniversary weekend here. Our goal was to be close to nature with a nice clean room to sleep in. The room was clean. The outdoor garden / terrace was serene and amazing. Access to kayaking and the forest was a huge plus. Property is kept with the understanding the manor is older and beneath trees so there will be leaves / dust. Staff were very pleasant. Drinks were great. Lobby decor and food were ok. Overall, we left very happy.“

Krinkle cut fries were decent and they serve more than enough! Someone said this was better than sequoia burger and right down the road however I’d rate this burger a 4 compared to the full 5 star sequoia burger in comparison“

The salads looked like standout additions, delightfully prepared. “My friend and I shared a wine tasting which consisted of three small glasses of tasting size. You get to pick the three wines that you want. Not a huge selection., but works. We decided to eat there and I got the crabcakes which were pretty tasty a spicy sauce on top, and there were bell peppers and with the crabcakes. My friend got salmon with the skin was very crispy which he likes but the inside was too rare and he had to ask them to cook it more. It came back, still a bit too rare, and we fed that to the seagulls….The couscous salad that came with it was the best thing of all. I would not run back there but if you’re hungry and in that exact area, it’s a convenient place to grab a bite to eat. They have a couple of different patios outside, and the staff was very friendly. The one remark my friend said was that if they’re going to leave the salmon that raw like they said they usually do, they should ask people how they like it cooked. He loves sushi, but it was too rare for him being that it was salmon. It was a great day to get away from the high heat of Sonoma. We went from the 90s to the 60s wearing a jacket. He had never gone by the school house from Alford Hitchcock The Birds, so we did that on the way out.“

“GF enjoys their clan chowder, I went with a pulled pork sandwich. Was very messy but overall a tasty eat. They don't have a fryer (!) so no fries or fish and chips but they seem to have other good options. I wouldn't call them cheap but they aren't expensive either. We ate outside and enjoyed our day away from the heat.“

“I always enjoy my time at the Jenner inn. The tree house cottage was the perfect, private space for a night of relaxation. The room has 1 queen bed a Kitchenette with a sink, mini fridge and microwave. Satellite Tv and WiFi. Looking forward to my next stay.“

“I am a huge ice cream lover and evaluator. The quality of ice cream here is incredible! It was extremely cold and melted in your mouth! Other places (even Salt n Straw), make it too creamy and sugary. You really don’t get better ice cream than Nimble and Finn’s. I had the vanilla, coffee single scoop split. I savored every drop and will be back next summer to bask in the deliciousness.“

“We love this place! The food is ALWAYS good; the service is always good, and we love that there is always a good band playing and we get to dance! Our first waiter was Ben and oh how we loved him so we always asked for him when we would go in. Sadly, Ben moved out of the area but then we got Danny! Another fantastic server and now we always ask for her! Can't vouch for the other servers but my guess would be that they are all good! Susie is the owner, and she is wonderful! She always mingles with her guests and even gets many of them up dancing! I hope she knows how much her regulars appreciate her! I'm so glad we found this place because we do not live out there. We live in Santa Rosa, and I must say it is always worth the trip out there for a great evening!“

“This place is outstanding! I had the Mexican mocha. It was so creamy and delicious. I’m literally asking myself why I go to SBUX. I had the big breakfast burrito. Was enough for me and my daughter. I love that they grill the burrito. Reminds me of home. (Texas) We had black iced coffee. Very good flavor. Hot chocolate was so good too. My husband had the 2 sunny side up eggs on sourdough. We love coming to Guerneville on the weekends to kayak. And now we have an excellent coffee and breakfast stop! Thank you ladies, for a wonderful experience. Will see you again, real soon.“

“I’ve been coming here for over a decade (though only in fits and starts). Every time, I am very happy. I sit on the deck looking over the river, order a drink and a meal, and chat with friends and locals. I leave satisfied.

The staff? Good at what they do and occasionally exceptional at banter. The food? Average to outstanding. The menu has changed over the years. But it hasn’t gotten worse. If anything, it is what you would expect from bar food in this area and priced fairly. The wait time? Not sure why people are harping on this. Do you have a prior engagement at the opera? The beers? They are fine. The mixed drinks? They are also fine. The atmosphere? Unforced local/townie (and I don’t mean that as a slur). Sure, there are some ‘interesting’ people hanging out. But what do I care? I am a guest. Don’t poke the bear and don’t get the reaction. Poke the bear? Be prepared to engage with ‘interesting’ people who live here. Seems like common sense.

This last visit, I was with a group of nearly a dozen people. Some had been here before. Some hadn’t. Everyone had a great time. That is what a place like this, in a place like this, should do. Support locals. Get out-of-towners to spend their money and leave happy.
