“Absolutely incredible Shwarma and foood in general. The customer service is top level, they were extremely kind expaining the menu and were extremely hospitable when getting napkins and anything else asked for. 10/10 best Mediterranean food in “
“THE best chicken and steak kabobs! Nearly 15 years ago I used to work nearby and loved this place. I still drive from Covina just for them! Service is outstanding and everyone is so kind. You can taste the mesquite smoke on the chicken and steak. The hummus and tabouli is consistently amazingly fresh and delicious. I could not recommend this restaurant more.“
“Sofreh has the greatest food of all time when it comes to Persian food and I mean it ! Staffs are friendly and service is awesome ! Restaurant is so clean , decor is great, such a great vibe to enjoy your meal with family and friends ! Highly highly recommend !“
“First time, dining in last night with my girlfriend. Great place! I had the half & half chicken and kafta tawook plate while my girlfriend had the chicken shawarma wrap. Both were delicious! And, freshly prepared. Both recommended. And, their baklava was great! Muhammad, the owner and operator was very gracious and hospitable, we even had a nice conversation after we were finished with our meal. We'll definitely be returning again to try more of the menu.“
“Had a wonderful experience. Family owned restaurant. Beef kebabs were amazing. It was a delight being here. If you’re driving from so-cal to NorCal you must stop here. If you live in this area you should definitely go here. Find an excuse to be here! I promise you that you’ll have a great time.“
“4pm Sunday. the queue to get seated is 1 hr, main course (huge portion) was another 30 mins.lamb n beef were well flavored n juicy. The rice was nicely fluffed. Tried 4 appetizers, 2 were good the other 2 were subjectively funky, but fun nonethelessParking: $10 valet or self park on side street“
“Had a beautiful time at Bavel. The service was awesome and the drinks were phenomenal. I personally had a bit of an ick from the prawns not being deveined, but that was a personal preference. The flavors of the food were outstanding. The babaganoush and hummus were show stoppers for “
“Fave spot in LA and order here at least 2-3x a week. Best, most creamiest hummus I’ve had in my life. Rice is cooked to perfection every time. Both their salads are delicious and refreshing, Tabouleh Oaxaca Salad is a must try. Taco plate with chicken and cauliflower is my go-to. Everything is fresh and packed with flavor. Prices are affordable/reasonable and portions are perfect. Owners are super friendly and you can tell they put a lot of care and passion into their food.Dietary restrictions: Vegan and vegetarian friendly.Parking: Has its own parking lot. About 7 spaces.“
“One of the most well seasoned wings and beef. Ordered #11 and #7 , rice was fresh and so was everything else. 25 minute wait but thats what happened when food is made fresh on the spot. First time here and wont be the last. Cash only, what we did is ordered on door dash while there and let the owner know.“
“This place is fun. The gyros are piled full of meat. I have visited twice now. The people are nice and the place is clean. The only odd thing is that my fries tasted like fish. I noticed that they offer fish and chips, so you might want to keep the fries and fish in separate deep fryers.“
“First, the chicken breast kabob was juicy and tasty. The spicy and garlic sauce is perfection to dip in your chicken kabobs. The Sharma tasty and very cooked but not dry. The olive oil they use is good so the tabouli and Cucumber salad is fresh and flavorful. Good Olive oil makes a big difference. Also the hummus is delicious better than heidarbab, kankou chicken. Way better quality and care in food prep. This is a must go. I will come back. So far it's my favorite place for meditteranean food in pasadena.“
“First time coming here and I’m glad we have it a try! Mo was patient & explained what each plate was. We ended up getting the beef and chicken shawarma plates with the hummus & eggplant. SO GOOD!! Meat was juicy and the salads were fresh and crisp. So good we forgot to take pictures! Baklava was delicious too!“
“It’s hard to find good food in dtla and a lot of places are overrated, had passed by on my way to work and the aroma got my attention. Once I finally tried their cuisine, my mouth was exploding with so many exquisite flavors. 10/10 highly recommend.“
“Got the pita wrap ($15 and change after tax) huge portions and you pick as you go. I like to think of it as a Mediterranean chipotle. LOTS of flavor I loved my wrap and so did my lady. Also hooked me up with a free drink Try these guys out for sure ??“
“Happened upon this place as I was returning from vacation and a weekend of eating well. Let's just say it ..UNHEALTHY EATING. but that's what you do on vacation, right? So we were looking for something fresh and not FRIED OR SUGAR BASED. We popped into this place and started out with the cabbage salad and some hummus, and both were pretty refreshing and great tasting. Of course, we didn't stop there. We also ordered the pressed chicken sandwich, which came with fries (Yes, we overlooked that part), but we certainly didn't mind. Everything we had was pretty good and fresh. I had been looking for a new Mediterranean place and I found it !!! I would be remiss if I did not mention that the service was also exceptional. Our waitress, whose name escapes me, was pretty awesome.“

The tender beef and succulent chicken shawarma were complemented flawlessly by a medley of traditional Mediterranean sides, creating a harmony of taste that left me craving more.To complete our meal, we indulged in a serving of baklava, a sweet treat that served as the perfect finale to our culinary adventure. “I had my baby's first bday and first tooth party (atam hatik) at Mer Yerevan. The owner was genuinely nice and helpful. The rates were excellent, the venue was beautiful, and the food was delicious. We had 40 guests, and the space was perfect. We didn't want to be crammed given the COVID pandemic going on right now. I would highly recommend this place for small to medium-size gatherings.---“
“I stumbled upon Shayan Express Restaurant, and what a delightful surprise it turned out to be! The service was impeccable, with the staff going above and beyond to make us feel special. Now, let's talk about the food – an explosion of flavors that awakened my taste buds. The lamb kebabs were tender and flavorful, and the aromatic rice dishes were heavenly. The ambiance was charming, with Persian carpets and traditional decor creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. I left with a happy heart and a full belly, and I'll be returning soon!“
“Everything is so delicious here. We shared sarma, kofta, hummus, fattoush, cheese boreg and then shared the carousel combo plate. We got extra meat on this plate and I think when you get extra meat it is then called the "merry-go-round" plate. We also got the Ashta B'teen dessert. Which is a square of clotted cream with a fig jam on the top. It was so good. It's a great place to go to eat, and they also sing a really fun song when it's someone's birthday. I would highly recommend this place. Great service too. Our server last Saturday night was Sofia R. She was terrific!“
“I, really, really like this place. But it's kinda pricey. That being said, the food is really-really good. Pardis, a Persian restaurant, feels more like "higher class" dining, so to speak, than say, Raffis Place (the best Middle Eastern food in town). Pardis' Salmon is delish, the hummus is yum, and the portions are pretty large. The menu isn't that big, which is fine, and I hope this restaurant succeeds as the restaurant that was at this location (which was yum) didn't succeed (probably due to bad customer service). So, hopefully, Pardis focuses on service too because the food is awesome!“
“Decent food for the price. We got the chicken bowl, one with rice and hummus the other with lettuce and cucumber yogurt. Both were tasty and kept us full until dinner. The hummus was good and was not too strong with any one flavor. The chicken was seasoned well and moist. The yogurt was not too bitter and the cucumber gives a nice crunch. This is a great place to get a grab and go lunch.“
“My wife was craving for Mediterranean,Armenian cuisine then I told my wife let's go to the Golden Skewer Restaurant in Montebello. We step in the restaurant then we ask it's a take out then we look at the menu then we decided to order the chicken breast kabobs come with roasted vegetable, hummus, rice pilaf and a pita bread. To took away while because everything is made fresh daily at the restaurant. When our meal real we left and headed home but the aroma from food amazing and also we got a new car scent from the food. I open the container and food looks so good but the taste incredible good so much flavors in the chicken breast kabobs season good cook perfect all the spices seal in chicken while cooking. The hummus was good then I try the rice pilaf also good then roasted vegetable very good then use the pita bread to complete the meal. The garlic spead was good but little bit strong flavor but my wife say it was little bit strong for her.We enjoy the food we need to come back again.“
