“This is a hidden gem in my opinion. I drive from Ventura to this spot for both ramen and sushi. My wife is very peculiar with Japanese food so I was afraid of taking her, yet she loved it. The staff is friendly, their prices are very fair and the quality is excellent.“

“The fish speaks for itself. If you’re from Agoura Hills, no need to make the drive to Torrance, DTLA, or OC because this place is on par if not better than all the other authentic sushi experiences.
Highly recommend the black snapper, sweet shrimp, and the bluefin tuna.“

“Sushi Oaks is a hidden gem in Thousand Oaks. The fish is incredibly fresh, and their spicy tuna hand rolls are easily some of the best I’ve ever had—perfect texture, just the right balance of ingredients . Everything here is clean, balanced, and clearly made with care. Great service, chill atmosphere, no fluff—just top-tier sushi done right. Highly recommend.“

“I've haven't been to japan yet but I've had sushi all over the world and this is the best I've had so far. Not the usual quick innexpensive sushi environment, you pay more, but you get a unique eating experience from someone who is a master of their craft. I don't live in cali but eating here is one of the highlights of my trip, and can't wait to go back when I am in town again.“

“Sea Butter in Westlake Village is hands down my favorite sushi spot in the area! The sushi is always incredibly fresh, and the staff is so friendly and welcoming. My absolute favorite is the Emma sushi—it just melts in your mouth. The spicy tuna crispy rice is also amazing. I love coming here with my family and always have a great experience. “These new owners have made a beautiful sushi bar/restaurant/menu. I have been to this restaurant 4 times now for lunch. Their service has made me feel valued and special each time... Friendly and timely. The ambiance is beautiful and it feels very clean when you walk in. The sushi is SO FRESH, even mid-week, and the special cut rolls are very artistic and delicious. I very much love the no rice rolls selection, and the Chef accommodated me by making a no rice spider roll that wasn't on the menu... Mmmm, Mmmm! I'm bringing friends upon my next visit (Sat. Aug. 2, 2025).“

“I just went for a 2nd time last night (1st time was last year) and oh my gosh this place is awesome! not only is the food absolutely delicious and there's a huge variety of things you could get but the service is fantastic and the servers and owner- a young lady we met, are all so nice and helpful and considerate. Throw in the prices are so reasonable compared to many. I so wish there was one closer to my home over on the west side of L.A.,. but I'll just have to make the trip more often!“

“The sushi is good, the beer and wine selection are not, though the wine that *is* offered is high quality. Service was a bit slow this time around (sat at the sushi bar). The prices are ok, not notably inexpensive, but again, the sushi is decent.“

“Sushi is ok. Since Covid, it's a different quality. Was there for in-person dining today and they added a 15% service charge on the bill. When I inquired about what it was for the waitress said, "it's your tip for us". I was like, "last I knew I decided in the tip for you". Saw a sign on way out referencing 10% but they added 15. I don't mind tipping for great service...Ever but I expectto get it. Diners beware.“

“Simple interior but very clean and inviting. The customer service was great, very friendly and personable and helped us navigate the many options for the poke bowls.
Food was incredibly tasty and fresh. Super soft and pillowy salmon and tuna chunks. Crunchy veggies, edamame, etc for the bowls. Spam Musubi was on point. Loved it all. Incredibly generous portions in the bowls. Will definitely come again.“

“This place is AMAZING! Not too many quality all you can eat restaurants around the area, but I’m so glad I found this one. I’m a tough critic when it comes to sushi restaurants but at $40 for AYCE sushi dinner for this quality is unheard of nowadays. The food was delicious with generous amount of fish and the service was super quick and great. I highly recommend this place.“

“For how busy they were they cranked out the sushi fast. The rolls were good, didn't have anything that we didn't like. Would definitely go again. The half off menu is great.
They have a picture of soft shell crab roll on the half off menu under crunch roll. That one was a little disappointing that it was not the accurate picture. Not a reason not to go of course“

“Hikari is a neighborhood sushi bar with very fresh fish and fair prices. The albacore sashimi melted in my mouth, and the spicy tuna crispy rice was one of the best I’ve had. Service is quick and friendly, and the chef always greets you. It’s not flashy, but the food is better than many places in LA. Great for a chill weekday sushi dinner“

“Add Pookies to the list of hidden gems in the Conejo Valley. We sat outside for dinner at a shaded table next to a running water feature. Three dishes proved to be just the right amount for the two of us. Pad Thai Noodles, Jade Curry with Beef and Vegetable Melange complimented each other perfectly and all three were excellent. The service was great and engaging. We’re already looking forward to coming back.“

“I'm new to the sushi world, and Sumu was the 2nd sushi restaurant I've been to. I like Sumo so much I haven't wanted to try other places. I'm kinda picky and don't try many foods, so I'm easing my way, but so far, I LOVE the Kara Rolls and Hot Rolls best ?“

“Atmosphere in the early Friday evening; is quiet with soft music.
Television to catch the eyes…and service of the owners they do not “bother” you much.
Seeing that the menu we wanted sushi..
The next time we will prepare to “feast”!
What I did get was the SWEET HONEY ROLL 🥰😋
Sprimp tempura, fresh eel, with spicy tuna, crab, crunch, and eel sauce.:: 16.95 / 13 cut rolls
Need more with this 😍 I need some meats and double portion of the rolls 😍😍🥲🙌
We will do a return visit!
Will update!! Stay tuned!!“

“Wanted to try something new in the area and stumbled upon this place for dinner. Overall it was great as there was a huge menu on the wall and the place was well decorated with lanterns with sakura trees. It’s a place where you would come to for something quick. I dined-in since traveling with a bowl of hot udon isn’t ideal. Service was great!
I ordered the Udon with Tempura Shrimp and asked the person at the cashier what they recommend as an appetizer and he stated that the Potstickers were a usual go-to which is what I got. The price for the udon was fairly priced, but maybe not for the potstickers. However, I do understand the economy so it’s reasonable, I guess…
The udon noodles were nicely textured and had 2 pieces of narutomaki (maybe not enough in my opinion). Wasn’t sure what the other things in the udon was but it melted quick. The tempura shrimp are similar to the ones I get at Costco. I believe I was 75% full after eating that complete meal which is a good percentage.“

“I came here with my wife for a casual weeknight meal and had a great experience. The food came out quickly and was hot. We ordered bok choy, soup, dumplings, egg rolls, sweet-and-sour shrimp, and rice — more than enough for both of us. The soup dumplings were savory, the shrimp had a nice tang, and the bok choy was deliciously garlicky. We’ll definitely be back!“

I had their Miso Soup, Spring Greens Salad, 911 Roll, Lobster Roll, Shrimp Tempura, Fresh Water Eel, Spicy Scallop Hand Roll, Garlic Edamame, Yellowtail Sushi, and Salmon Sushi. And it was as it always is, fresh and delicious!!!! Definitely Simi Valley's best sushi restaurant!!!“

“Q Sushi is the best! I tried oysters for the first time ever, and they were SO good. I thought they might be weird, but I ended up loving them! The food here is amazing, and everything tasted so fresh. They even gave me a really yummy avocado sushi roll, which I loved, and a little orange snack that was so cute and sweet.
The workers were so nice, and my waitress, Sage, was awesome. She made me feel really special and made sure I had everything I needed. It was such a fun place to eat, and I can’t wait to go back again. you have to try this place.
Kid-friendliness: So fun“
“Always amazing! We have been going to Yomama since 2009. Some of the best quality sushi/sashimi around! And you definitely can't beat the service. The wife/husband combo that run the restaurant are the sweetest and so fun! If you are a sushi lover, it's a must try!“

“We had a Ramen bowl and a sashimi and tempura lunch special. The food was good but not particularly special. The flavors were fine, but nothing stood out as exceptional or memorable. It’s a decent option, but not a must-visit if you’re looking for something extraordinary.“
