“31st Grill has got to be one of the best American restaurants I've been to in a while. I ordered a Backyard Burger with some fries on the side, and everything tasted amazing. However, there was one problem when it came to my fountain drink. When I ordered a refill for my fountain drink, my server took way too long to give me back my refill, so I ended up having to ask one of the other employees to give it to me. Aside from that, everything else was perfect.

“I love everything about this restaurant. I always love going here. They have really delicious food for fair prices. And the staff are very friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Vegetarian options: Their salad and ranch dressing are to die for.

“Everything at the Wooden Nickel is great.
We got our food fast, the food is always excellent. Our waiter is on top of everything.
Parking: There is a very large parking lot, never have a problem getting a parking spot.
Kid-friendliness: We have seen large familys with several children, and the children are great.“

“On the paper menu there is a small vegan menu with impossible nuggets, vegan meatball sub, etc. Not sure if the veggie burger is vegan or not. Service was very friendly and, while everything was fried, the food was fine. Beer was good and we sat comfortably outside. A nice option in an area without too many choices if you are visiting Elkhorn Slough or traveling north from Monterey.“

“Friendly service. Food was delish. We ordered chili Verde breakfast plate that came with homemade corn tortillas. Also ordered chili relleno on the side. Served covered in a delicious sauce. ? also had chilaquiles in red chili. Will definitely be back for more!
Kid-friendliness: Wide variety of dishes. American and Mexican food, will definitely find something that will please a crowd.“

“We spied the harbor front table seating while heading out on a whale watch tour and returned there for lunch afterwards. An amazing find. It was a beautiful day out, so we requested outdoor seating. Staff was really pleasant and attentive. Food was great and this is not at all a tourist mediocre stop like some other harbor front places on the Monterey Bay. Decent pricing. We will for sure be returning on trips between Santa Cruz and Monterey.
Vegetarian options: Hummus sandwich, salads
Parking: There’s a gravel parking lot with several spots off the street. We parked on the street with no problem.
Kid-friendliness: Plenty of families inside and out.“
