“What a great addition to National City. My husband and I would often go to Mira Mesa for our Hotpot fix, but now we can just go to this neighborhood gem.

I tried the classic bone broth with a lot of seafood items and really enjoyed it. My soup also did have beef, which was good quality and delicious. For drinks, we enjoyed sugar free sparkling pamelo zest.

Ambience was cute and not to try hard. The space is great for small or large parties.

Definitely a redo for us.“

“Solid Chinese restaurant. The salt and pepper chicken wings were so good. The fry on the outside is just perfectly crunchy while the inside is piping, hot and juicy and perfect amount of salt and spice.
Definitely the star of the show here.

Pictures is the BBQ pork, Crean cheese Wontons, and honey walnut shrimp.
On another occasion I tried their Broccoli beef and orange chicken
All of their dishes thus far have been great.
Everything is affordable and proportional to the ammount of food you get.
They are Cash Only though, but there is an ATM in the liquor store next door.
Staff has always been friendly, bathroom was clean“

“Went to Bistro City to try their Salt-n-Pepper Wings. Unlike most places, they heavily spice the batter the wings are fried in. It was too spicy for my liking. I left the wings for my co-workers and they said the wings were really good. So if you like spicy, you will love the wings.
I also got some orange chicken. It was good, but nothing I would make a special trip to get.“

The Oriental Cafe offers generous portions for generous prices and unless you've fasted the whole day you will be bringing home Leftovers.
The staff is friendly and efficient as they tend to the constant flow of customers that filled the humble establishment.
Some may take mark down this Cafe for its simplistic decor; but others, like myself, find it charming. And after trying their dishes, it only adds delight to find a nice whole in the wall that let's their dishes speak for themselves.
I recommend dining in because you will get a serving of their egg drop soup and it is absolutely worth trying. It's hearty flavor reminds you of the soup you wish you had on a cold day or when you're feeling under the weather.
This is an establishment that deserves its business and I am already planning on coming back and bringing more family to experience it themselves.“

“Really dope… low key local spot to grab a humongous portion of food for the low… and it’s bomb! I come once a week and the service is always impeccable. Whenever I bring a friend they feel like we robbed the place the plates are so generous.“

Got the spicy orange chicken, broccoli beef, lo mein, cream cheese rangoons, and sweet & sour chicken (just an FYI, the sweet & sour chicken comes with the sauce already on the chicken). I really wasn't expecting much since there were no reviews and so many BOGO deals but I gotta say, Kim's outperforms other Chinese restaurants that are in the same price range. Hopefully they won't get rid of the BOGO deals anytime soon, cause I'll keep ordering as long as they are offered. I'm impressed!“

“My childhood restaurant. I started coming here since 2014. I still come here in 2024. The food is still good. The price for the food is the only problem since it’s a bit higher than before. People that served the food are very nice and chill.“

“Bang for your buck on sushi. I always get sashimi platter and salt and pepper tofu. Ginza house noodles, orange chicken, all of it amazing.

Wait staff could use some training on service and how to look for tables that may need assistance. They seem to lose their way when they have more than 4 of 5 tables.“

“Not once but a couple of times that Ms. Tammy went over and beyond her knowledge of Chowking products and her excellent customer service! I already love the food but with a variety of new entree and different types of Chicken preparation (Chinese style, popcorn, garlic chicken, etc), she has described them well. She is also on-point in guiding other staff about taking orders and monitoring timely completion of food packages. I’ve met her one time rushing in the morning for work and another on a tiring end of work night and her energy was still the same. Great with manners too over telephone order.
