“Definitely needs a higher rating. Cause the sushi here was phenomenal! I mean the taste and quality was just truly amazing. We had the flaming salmon roll. The salmon just melted in your mouth. It had crab in it as well and it didn’t over power it. It blended so nicely together. Then there was a special that the chef made. It was so good. Meant to ask what he puts in it. But it was so delicious. Staff is so friendly and fun loving. They have such a good atmosphere and the service was truly great. We even had their house cold-sake. It was so good. This restaurant has the layout, and feel of Japanese restaurants from days gone by. However, at the same time, it's very modern and stylish.

I entered with my Mom, and we were immediately greeted and seated. Our server was very friendly and had a great personality. It turns out he was very knowledgeable as well. I ordered the Salmon Shioyaki Entree, and Mom ordered the Miso Marinated Black Cod Entree. The Entrees come with Soup & Salad. The salad was subtly flavorful. With the greens, vegetables, crunchy topping, and dressing combining to create a delicious starting salad. The Miso Soup was very flavorful, and well balanced. They were both wonderful ways to start a meal. My Salmon Shioyaki was incredible. The Shio (Salt), enhances the natural flavor of the Salmon, and helps in browning, and creating crispy tasty salmon skin. The flesh was firm, yet tender and flaky. Just a squeeze of lemon, and it was perfection exemplified. The accompaniments, and rice, along with the delicious mixed Vegetables made it a complete meal. I had a taste of the Miso Black Cod. The glazed Miso flavor was undeniable, as the Black Cod melted in my mouth, ending in deliciousness.

A Japanese meal embodies that the sum of all parts, equals the whole. The Entrees here are examples of that philosophy.

The prices here are well worth it, considering what you get. The whole staff here is very friendly. Our server helped make our dining experience fantastic. We hope to see him again. We will be back,“

“The only reason I’m reducing a star is because this place doesn’t sell Thai food anymore. I found them on Google thinking that my kids can get Thai noodles and I can enjoy the sushi. They need to update their profile here as it’s deceiving.

Still ordered sushi and got it to go. It was fresh and delicious. The staff is nice and welcoming. The place is small but clean.

“This spot is amazing and I have never had a bad experience here. Servers are all nice and attentive and the sushi is top tier. They do not stuff you with rice and add a tiny piece of protein on top like other spots do. You really get great rice to protein ratios here.

All the rolls and shareables are phenomenal. It gets busy and there is a wait to be seated, but it's worth it, and to me that is a great sign. Busy is good for restaurants.

Sometimes the servers do get overwhelmed and forget a roll you ordered, but as soon as you bring it to their attention it's a very quick fix.

“Hidden gem doesn't even begin to describe To Die For Sushi. Nestled in a humble space in Northridge, this place is so unassuming you might walk right past it--but don't. Because once you walk in and sit at the bar, you'll realize you've discovered one of the best sushi experiences in all of Los Angeles.

Chef Danny is a true artist. We had front-row seats to his craft and were mesmerized watching him turn simple ingredients into edible masterpieces. Every slice, every plate--pure precision and passion.

We shared a bento box with mixed tempura, mixed sushi, and sashimi, and were blown away by the variety and balance. The Heart Attack (fried jalapeño stuffed with cream cheese and topped with spicy tuna) was absolute fire--bold, indulgent, and perfectly crispy.

The Toro and salmon were melt-in-your-mouth perfection--fresh, buttery, and honestly some of the best I've had anywhere in L.A.

Our server, Samantha, was fantastic--warm, attentive, and clearly knew the menu well. She made great recommendations and timed everything perfectly.

This place is a sushi lover's dream, without the pretense or the inflated prices of trendy spots. The prices are really affordable and the quality top notch. I have paid a lot more for so much less elsewhere. Do yourself a favor and sit at the bar--watch the magic happen, savor every bite, and thank me later.

I have been here three times now and it does not disappoint! There are two menus, the full menu the restaurant offers and a paper menu for ordering sushi. I love the sushi and sashimi they have. Each time the waiters were friendly and so were the chefs. You are even able to see them cut and prepare the sushi! The sushi rolls we ordered were so tasty and it was so good. I understand that everyone has bad days, and we never really know what someone might be going through. Still, as a customer, it's always nice to be greeted with a smile—even a small or polite one makes a big difference. A warm welcome really helps set the tone for a good dining experience.

Tried Neo Sushi for AYCE and it did not disappoint. They offer three AYCE options: Lunch Special at $28.99, Late Night at $30.99, and Kids at $19.99. For adults, you can choose between the Regular Menu ($39.99) or the Premium Menu ($47.99).

The appetizer selection is solid with options like edamame, gyoza, onion rings, and shrimp tempura. For soup and salad, there are plenty of choices — we kept it classic with miso soup and cucumber salad, both fresh and well done.

Where they really shine is the sushi. We went heavy on the nigiri, and our favorites were the yuzu jalapeño yellowtail, escolar, and albacore. They also have all the classic rolls you’d expect, including spicy tuna, California rolls, avocado rolls, and yellowtail rolls.

We came right when they opened at 12:00 PM (despite Google listing a different time), and service was on point. The staff is young, vibrant, and very friendly. Our server Alex was top tier and made sure our plates kept coming until we were completely full.

I’d recommend this spot especially for groups under 5 — larger parties get an 18% gratuity added. Overall, great value, great service, and great sushi. I’ll definitely be back.“

“Tomo of Tomodachi Sushi is a master in his craft. I have been to all of his restaurants and the quality and cuts of sushi are always consistent and fantastic. This sushi bar is an absolute gem amongst many very mediocre sushi bars from Simi Valley to Porter Ranch. I’ll update with photos on my next visit.“

“As you enter you are greeted by an open and spacious space. The sushi bar area is nicely decorated and looks well maintained. The entire restaurant is meticulously clean with everything in its place.

Service is attentive and gracious. I ordered the Chicken Karaage Curry and my mom ordered the Salmon Collar. When our food arrived it looked fantastic. The Chicken Karaage looked really crunchy. I ate a piece off the top and it was extremely crunchy, my expectations were high. I dipped a piece of chicken into the curry sauce, but the sauce seemed bland. As I ate it was clear the chicken was incredible, but the curry sauce was broken. There were multiple signs of separation. Some parts were watery and bland, other parts were thicker with stronger flavor. In the picture separation can be seen around the edges of the sauce. Another issue is the rice was room temperature and the grains were starting to tighten and did not mix well with the curry sauce. The disappointing thing is both issues could have easily been fixed before serving. The curry sauce was an easy fix and the rice just had to be warmed. Small things really do make a big difference. I would give the Chicken Karaage alone a 5 out of 5, but with the curry sauce and rice, I would knock that down to a 3.5 out of 5. If everything was freshly made I'm sure it would have been a 5 out of 5.

This is a Sushi Bar and I didn't even try the sushi, so I can't say much about it. However, the prices are very reasonable and definitely worth a try.

I was having lunch the other day and was half-way through my meal when I received an emergency phone call from my daughter's school, which is very close to the restaurant, that she had had a seizure and that I had to go there immediately.
