The food was timely, stunning, and delicious. I would highly recommend to stop and eat, but also pair with a stay at Sparrows Lodge.”

“We had a great experience with the food and service at Bar Cecil — both were top-notch. Unfortunately, we reserved an outdoor table in August and deeply regret it. While the covered patio has fans and some portable AC units, it's not fully enclosed, and in triple-digit heat it's just not comfortable for a full dinner. For a quick drink and appetizer it might work, but for multiple courses and rounds of drinks, it was tough to enjoy. The most frustrating part was seeing several indoor tables open up after the initial rush. I even overheard our server mention they often get summer cancellations but don't re-list them on OpenTable. I'd absolutely come back — just never outside in summer again. Indoors only!”

The muffaletta sandwich was awesome on the delicious focaccia bread, but the eggplant Parmesan tasted like old oil, it was stale and tasted a few days old. We ended up having to throw it out. My husband had tried to order it as a sandwich, but there must’ve been a miscommunication. Either way, even on a sandwich it wouldn’t have been great. Excited to try the other sandwiches on the takeout menu!”

I should have given a review from the start, but I wanted to wait until I truly experienced all of what they have to offer. All I have to say is, AMAZING. “Came into town from the East Coast tried out, Sammy G's. Had the best food! the bartender made a magnificent chocolate martini and then we moved onto a Caesar salad that they had cut into small pieces. My daughter and I shared perfect sizing. She picked up the penne with vodka sauce, grilled chicken. I just took the basic fettuccine it was delicious cannot go wrong. Loved that the bread was served with an olive paste and at the end, a shot glass of amaretto to go with a biscotti styled cookie ended the evening in style. Our waitress was very good and we had an opportunity to meet Mark the manager who was very personable, much appreciation to a well run establishment as well as phenomenal food.”
