Disappointed with their matcha is pre-sweetened. So not the authentic stuff. I like mine with honey so it’s a bummer.

But the drinks are really creative and fun! Their coffee is good!

“Susy did an amazing job on my mom’s birthday cake. She was able to create an exact replica of the
reference photo that I gave her. The cake was also so good and moist and everyone at the party loved it. There was a little hiccup on our end where one of the letters got damaged in transport and Susy was able to replace it last minute before the party started. Overall a great experience and I would use her again if I need a cake in Long Beach.“

“It was exactly 2 weeks before my daughter’s quinceanera. I had been considering making her cake but after a lot of stress and agonizing over what to do, I decided to stop into Sugar Mama’s just to see what they had to offer. Within about 10 minutes I was placing an order. The shop is very cute and the staff makes you feel instantly at ease. The order process was fairly straightforward. If anything there are almost too many options for flavors and additional toppings but that’s not a complaint. The day of our event came and the cake was beautiful. They took my inspiration photos and made her a gorgeous cake. It was delicious and reasonably priced too. Overall, we had a great experience with this business and will be back.“

“I have been going to this bakery for many years...about 30 years but not sure if it's the same family. They have always had delicious Mexican bread, pastries, and cakes...now they have added tamales (if you're lucky enough to get them). Great for a quick trip when you need milk or eggs, but you get to treat yourself too.“

“This place is awesome!!! They made my wedding cake and dessert bar 5/26/19. Everyone loved it I got so many compliments on the quality of the cake. The desserts where also a huge hit. As soon as the dessert bar open at 9 it was almost cleared out. We didn't put everything out at once and had to restock it in 7 mins. My daughter even said she didn't get a chance to have anything but a cake pop because it all went fast. Back to the wedding cake, they did such an amazing job recreating the cake we wanted. It was exactly how we pictured it. And was so fresh and moist. My husband loved it and he is not a cake eater hes super picky. Also the fact they are family operated made gives them that intimate connection to there customers that gets lost in most places. This is our new specialty cake spot for sure. Nothing but great things about this place.“

“Haven’t had Cold Stone in a while. Got the Strawberry Blonde in the largest size (about 12oz) and was surprised it’s now $12.79, almost the price of a lunch! (I usually stick to grocery-store Häagen-Dazs when it’s on sale.)

The Strawberry Blonde is super rich and delicious, more than enough to satisfy my ice cream cravings. The largest size is definitely big enough to share between 2–3 people, and for an occasional treat, it’s actually pretty great.”

“Stopped by Cold Stone Creamery to try their Lemon Cake Batter ice cream - Was sick with the flu for almost 3 weeks and I missed my birthday - So as a treat for myself I the Lemon Cake Batter ice cream mixed with Strawberries as a shake - It's exactly what I was hoping for - A lil tangy and a lil sweet from strawberries - made it the perfect shake - And of course topped with some whipped cream - I highly recommend this flavor - It's only available for a limited time... 😋🫶🏻“

“I searched up cake shops and this shop came up first as a top good cake place to go. So me and my friend had decided to go and check it out and see if it was true and not. So when we had went the own had actually attended us and helped me and my friend with placing an order for her son's upcoming birthday. She was so nice that I purchased a cake for my sister's birthday. When my family and I had tried my sister's cake, oh my gosh let me tell you that it is so good and worth checking it out.“

“Calico Cake Shop did such an awesome job on my birthday cake! I gave them a picture from Pinterest for reference of what I wanted my cake to look like. It was so beautiful I didn't want to cut it. The cake itself was a moist chocolate cake with a rich chocolate frosting filling as I requested. I'm so pleased with how the cake turned out, and for a reasonable price. I will definitely order party cakes from them again.“

“I’ve never had any rude interactions with these employees but you also have to understand that they also have a life so coming in with 5 minutes till closing with all your family members trying to figure out what they want puts them in overtime and me as a business man can’t afford to pay out that much O/T because you decided to wait to the very last moment . “CeCe was absolutely amazing today. We came in to celebrate 9 years and 9 years of us having our sweet rescue pups. We got the love it brownie and love it coffee mix. Our pups shared a strawberry cone and CeCe even brought out some peanut butter for them. She loved the dogs and her customer service was top tier.“

“I usually enjoy coming to Cold Stone, but my recent experience was disappointing. The manager Sue seemed distracted while wearing AirPods on both ears and was rude during our interaction. Customer service makes a big difference, and I hope this location can improve communication and professionalism. She doesn’t greet customer or smiles. She had a face like she hates to work there I don’t understand how someone like that could be a manager.

My 6 year old boy dropped his ice cream by accident was crying we and asked to if they could replace the scoop out of courtesy sue the manager said no with an attitude and said you could call corporate if you want.

She shows no empathy and horrible customer service.

After my initial review, the owner personally reached out to apologize for my experience and took the time to listen to my concerns. They also mailed my family buy-one-get-one-free coupons as a gesture of goodwill, which I greatly appreciated.

While my original experience with customer service was disappointing, I want to recognize the owner's professionalism and commitment to making things right.
