The rib eye steaks were perfectly cooked medium rare as we requested and the chef made a minor change to our menu due to our dietary needs without issue. “We finally made our first visit to the new Star Restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. I had the mixed BBQ plate with beef, chicken, pork, and chorizo, everything on the plate was delicious especially the chorizo which I normally dislike. We look forward to coming back or ordering takeout.“

Parking: Please consider the market and two other establishments but there is plenty of parking out front.

Kid-friendliness: Yes, very kid friendly. Lots of grass across the parking lot for kids to run around (supervised) as it is in the middle of a parking lot and a busy street.“

“The food was alright. The meat was tender and flavorful, but the bowl of vermicelli could be improved with some herbs, at the minimum, mint. So even though the protein was flavorful, as a whole, it felt bland.

We didn't order much so I can't attest to the other dishes. The coffee needs to be more authentic, either use dark roast or one with Chicory. I tasted vanilla and nuttiness in my cup.“

“I had a super steak burrito on three separate occasions and throughly enjoyed the burrito every time. Top 5 burritos I've ever tried and I've tried most of them from the bay, says a lot. The meat has a nice smoky flavor and the hananero salsa was on point“

I got the flautas plate (chicken version) with rice and beans and loved the lettuce, cheese, guac, tomato, and side of some sort of crunchy/vinegary slaw. The melon agua fresca was a great-tasting and refreshing beverage for this thirsty traveler. Very glad I chose to come here!“

“I've lived in Novato for six years. I've tried several Chinese restaurants and haven't been impressed. I've resorted to driving down to Ping's in Northgate One. That all changed today when I stopped at China Village in the San Marin Plaza. They know their stuff! Everything was flavorful and delicious. I'll be back!“

The food always comes out fast and the staff is extremely friendly. I work in Novato twice a week and this has become a staple for my lunch breaks.“

“This is good food. Some of the people who are commenting are just looking for something to complain about. The place is doing its best. The location is large and the rent must be high. The food is solid and that’s why we come. And we will keep coming until that’s not the case. Thank you for your excellent And yummy delicious food that my family loves.“

“Quiet atmosphere. I ordered a salmon plate and it was not cooked very well however I did order it in the morning so it's possible the cook was not used to cooking it. Service wasnt terrible. She was quick to check on us and mostly left us on our own and placed us in a quiet area which was totally fine with us because it fit the day we were having.

Bathroom stalls are very cramped with barely leg space to get around the stall door to allow it to close. This is the overall reason for the reduced star.

“I started a new job in downtown Novato at a dive shop and sometimes order lunch. I like to try different restaurants around the area and different items, like most doordashers. Unfortunately the sushi roll I keep getting here is preventing me from doing that. It's so delicious! And it's nice to look at, I can't seem to crave anything else
Every time I need to order my lunch, I just keep getting drawn right back to the 49er sushi roll (sometimes some miso soup). I've never had artisanal soy sauce before trying this place and it's now the only soy sauce I look for. Seriously this place is so good! Maybe one day I'll be able to try something different, but for now it looks like my taste buds have found a new favorite“

“App is really easy. I got to say that the pizza and the new apple dip cinnamon twists were really delicious. I hope they become a permanent item. The chocolate lava cake is the best in the fast food industry.They always remember my dipping sauces. There is a Latina around 22 years old there after 5 PM that is always so nice“

Get something hot, ready, and reasonably priced. I just go there for the veggie pizza. Because costco refuses to re-establish the veggie pizza.

The atmosphere is something else. Claustrophobic and it feels like a food bank. I mean I suppose it's what we deserve for not revolutionizing.“

“I usually get the prawns with vegetables in a light garlic sauce and it’s always cooked to perfection. The vegetables are fresh, never overcooked and the shrimp is fresh as well. I get brown rice with it and that’s never mushy or overcooked. Love this place!“
