Horn Barbecue

The food at Horn Barbecue was to die for. And the service was really great. I preferred going when Matt Horn was around because he's the Founder and really takes time to make sure you're comfortable. I saw a post that shared unfortunate news here, so I pray they recover: zenniereport.com/2023/11…

I've been a fan since Horn opened in West Oakland. All of my meals there have been delicious. The outdoor dining area is spacious. Service has always been fine for me. The first time I visited, Matt Horn was working. He was very welcoming and personable. Q is always "pricey." That's the reputation. Is Horn "pricey" too? Yeah, it kind of is. I love some BBQ- especially RIBS! Moist and tender- and good! Rest is basic bbq fare- sometimes it is such a hassle to set up and cook bbq that this is the next best option! Someone else cooking it. Bbq meal was a 4/5- good- I reserve 5 stars for absolute over the top best food. But I gave a 5, because his restaurant was attacked first by graffiti then after he called the people out on sm the very next day they burnt his restaurant down via arson!
