“Vegan comfort food so good you'll tell everyone you know about it. My wife and I had meatloaf sandos because we haven't either of us had meatloaf in decades and we both liked it when we did eat meat. Scott's (hey Scott) meatloaf isn't like your traditional meatloaf with granules of ground beef. Instead, it is more the texture of a fine dice of beef, and man, it is mind-blowing good! I hear the Reuben will make you want to move to Oceanside. I'd love to see what this place could do with a tuna melt. The fries are superior and, well, they nailed it. Love the 60s/70s counter-culture vibe and, of course, the surf undertone (it's blocks from the waves). The service is what you would hope for and holds a soupcon of joy behind it. Scott is personable and you can see his heart is in the food and the restaurant. Finally...calling all meat eaters! This place is the place for you. I used to eat meat. I too know the dissatisfaction vegan food can bring. In short, I am not unsympathetic. You won't be dissatisfied here. I wouldn't be surprised if you returned and brought other people. I've tried all the meat substitutes and this isn't like that. They got hold of something here and it's really good.“

“Usually In N Out is 5 star for quality of food, price, and service. Tempted to give 3 stars for this visit alone.

Our visit: friendly cashier, but maybe spending too much effort on being too nice. Missed a burger we ordered. Of course, a little fault on our part cuz they most likely read off the order to us.

In addition to the missing burger, another burger was totally off when we got home- 3x3 (paid for it too according to receipt) we ordered was a double double and wrong toppings.

So 2/5 burgers messed up. Not a great ratio.

But In N Out is solid all around usually, so I guess 4 stars is OK.“

“Portion sizes were good, the chicken and carnitas were good, the al pastor didnt taste like anything tbh. They put lettuce on the tacos, and guacamole which for most is a plus but for me wish they’d mentioned it on the menu before i ordered. I wanted a burrito but they make them weird missing the things i want (rice beans cheese with the meat) and adding things I dont generally go for (lettuce salsa fresca guacamole)

Its authentic but whitewashed, like the menu caters to the oceanside surfers rather than latinos who want an authentic tj taco. Overall it was decent but not my top tier favorite.“

“Smallish restaurant with tiny parking lot of about 10 spots shared between 3 businesses. Like the roll up garage door windows, lots of outdoor picnic bench seating under shade canopies (which we couldn't use on this rainy day). Beer selection is pretty good, we had the meat lovers 12 inch pizza and liked the thin crispy crust, a bit skimpy on the toppings but tasty enough.

Parking: I think 10 spots between 3 (?) businesses in this very small strip mini mall.“

“On vacation staying at an Airbnb in Oceanside California. Went to Buccaneers for breakfast burritos to take back delicious. Bacon and egg and sausage and egg. It's a small shack off the road with a lot of people ordering, picking up and eating. And boy was it delicious. Big burritos could have split one but enjoyed it the next day for lunch 😋. That’s how it should be. They all were moist and very tender and had extremely good and power flavor. Props to the chefs. Other restaurants need to take note and learn from Annam Pho & Sandwiches. “We never came here for dinner when it was just Pacific Coast spirits because it always looked empty. But we popped in at one point and realized it was actually a pretty cool place to hang with great beer.

We learned that the owners of South Coast brewing took it over and they were redoing the menu. So we came in today and it was absolutely fabulous you guys. We had the chicken schnitzel and the Cajun pasta. I also had the best hazy beer of my life.

I really stand by these owners and definitely check out South brewing as well… great people and they do an amazing job. I really hope to see this place fills up and becomes a hot spot. Great people, great food, great drinks.“

For us, the papaya salad was too fish sauce strong, it was good, but overpowering.

We enjoyed the beef curry and our tofu kabocha curry. Perfectly flavored, a 5/10 is genuinely a five, and the portions were great with just enough to bring home leftovers.

As a group we enjoyed the ribs appetizer, but the beef was tough and overcooked. Flavorwise the ribs were great, but chewy.“
