“Having gone to many Izakaya in my life, I have always been disappointed by the fact that they make you take your shoes off and sit on the floor, eating off a table that is barely waist-high. The food is usually very fried and the oils they use upset my tummy. Also the nomi-hodai drinks are almost always heavily diluted. Full Moon in OJAI, CA is the best Izakaya I have been to that provides TRADITIONAL JAPANESE FARE in an unassuming environment. Prices are reasonable, THEY HAVE UNI, MY FAVORITE, and a decent list of alcoholic beverages. WILL COME BACK AGAIN!”

“Dog friendly patio with unbeatable views at sunset. Affordable drinks. The staff was super accommodating and the food (largely pub grub) was excellent and well cooked. Note, it’s located on a golf course, but this did not affect the experience at all. Highly recommend.”

“We had a wonderful dinner at Nocciola! We enjoyed the ambience on the outdoor terrace, the pork chop, bolognese, scallops, salad, and short rib. Excellent service. The wine menu is a bit small and lacking, but the cocktails were very lovely.”

“The French toast and pancakes were interesting. The French toast was made out of focaccia and the pancake was like a Dutch baby with lemon curd. The drinks are not like cocktails made fresh at the bar. They’re canned beverages so you can switch out an a spirit for another. They were underwhelming. The venue is stunning with big bay windows and outdoor seating.”

“The honey lavender ice cream is delicious! It’s balanced well between the two—not too sweet, not too floral. They modernized the decor which is a shame because the 70s decor gave it charm, but the service is just as good.

You can get a cake cone, small cone, waffle cone, or waffle bowl. They also have dairy-free options for vegans and people allergic to dairy.”

“I simply love Coffee Connection, great service, great vibe, and most importantly, great coffee! They use Centri coffee for their coffee shots which I find to be tasty and complex in taste. I would recommend this place to both locals and tourists.”

“Delicious food, a joyful setting, and happy staff. The Tibetan MOMO , Indian curry sushi burrito was very tasty. but there was a large selection on their menu, they even have lots of sushi, and it was delicious. Highly recommend it and would eat here again.”

“The coffee is so good in Ojai! I loved my caramel latte and my wife got a vanilla latte — both with oat milk. Service was sharp and friendly with plenty of gratitude for our patronage. We also tried their vanilla blueberry gluten-free scone and pumpkin loaf. They were both delicious! We sat outdoor at the tile-lined tables with iron wrought chairs and parasols—perfect for children and dogs. Inside they also operated as a bookstore and you ordered at a counter. This place is new to us and we’ll be coming back in the future.”

“We have eaten at this restaurant many times over our many visits to the resort. We are very happy that à la carte dining has returned. That was an issue for us over the last five years when a  fixed menu was adopted . Anyway, the food was delicious and we were very satisfied with the service. ”

“Sanders and Sons catered our wedding and they were awesome! Gabriela is very responsive the entire time and helped us coordinate a package that worked for us. We also had fun meeting Sanders in person and tasting the gelato before selecting. Our guests raved about how much they enjoyed the selection of flavors. Highly recommend!”

“We have been coming to Exotic Thai for years and the food and service have consistently been excellent! The prices have always been very reasonable as well. If you have a larger appetite, as I do, you will not be disappointed with the portions either.
We highly recommend Exotic Thai.

“a very intimate and expensive cafe, its main advantage is its location and views. the coffee is delicious, the ice cream had pieces of ice (apparently it was defrosted and frozen more than once), the strawberry and lemonade soufflé cake was tender and fresh.”

“Always Wonderful... Try my Bradtini! My always good to go to for dinner or lunch. The meats are all wonderful. I juz get my special taco bowl, no tortilla... You can get any of the proteins that way... Only Ojai locals know... No tortilla, beans or rice for me! Lost 20#s since October and it's staying off! Thanks "Lisa"!

“Roasters is my go to place to work from in Ojai. The atmosphere is so cozy, the owner and baristas so incredibly welcoming to all, the lattes and food delicious! It’s a special place to me .. my late husband actually became friends with Stacey first, he was from Tanzania and they bonded over coffee growing and roasting that he was interested in from his native country. Because of their friendship, he would often bring me gifts (mugs, pastries..) from her and it became our go to place for a coffee date. He would always buy the coffee cake which he might have HALF a bite of but he knew I would eat it all if he got it but that I wouldn’t l order it myself :) I have many happy memories here with him, and since he passed I am creating more. It’s such a safe and cozy place to read or work or chat with other patrons. Love this place!”

“Wow, what a vibe they have set here. Dark, moody, and mystical. What a fun night out! Definitely had an amazing date with my wife here. We got all sorts of great drinks gere. Bartenders were super friendly and nice while they made our drinks. They also have the social club during the day! One of our favorite mountain tucked bars. The inside is small and intimate, they also have seating overlooking the pool.”

“The meat comes from a market in Ojai but I want to know if the meat is pork or beef. If the menu or the staff could include the type of meat that would be great.”

Every time my MIL comes to visit from out of town, AJs is our usual must do soon as she arrives haha I always say Im going to try a new item but when it comes down to it I cant- have to get my favorite orange chicken, steamed vegetables(always cooked perfectly, never mushy!)My hubby gets beef chow mein & fried rice.

“Revel kombucha Bar and açaí in Ojai has hands down the best açaí bowls I’ve ever had—no exaggeration. I come all the way from Oxnard just for them, and it’s worth every mile. The fruit is always fresh, and beautifully arranged. But what really takes it to the next level is their granola—seriously the best I’ve ever tasted. It’s crunchy, flavorful, and adds the perfect texture to the bowl.
The quality and care they put into every bowl is obvious. It’s not just a snack—it’s an experience. If you're anywhere near Ojai, you have to stop by Revel Place. Just be warned: once you try their açaí bowls, you’ll be hooked.”

“The Hut has always rocked for me and I drive past it at least twice a day. I've even been fortunate enough to be present when some anonymous guy comes in and buys round of drinks for the whole house. Two of my co-workers go there and one doesn't. I'm not going to elaborate on that yet I love my job and I hope I have it forever.”

“This cafe had a menu that was easy to find and read, unlike some places on Ojai Ave. Got an iced Maple Chai, honeybee coffee, and a mango green tea. Outdoor seating behind the café. A lovely oak tree above the plaza dropped a few catkins and some pollen onto our table!”

“Busy Sunday, but didn’t have to wait too long. They were out of all sorts of food and beer, this really miffed the young ladies behind the counter who were then charged with telling every customer that. We grabbed the food pretty quick, all three orders were outstanding. The Jalapeño Bacon Smash burger was something I will be back for.

“Came here for an early dinner as part of a girls day out last minute. A hidden gem! The food and drinks were great, service was also great, but that might be because we were the only ones in the whole restaurant. I hope they can drum up more business, especially on a Saturday night. The interior ambience and decor needs a refresh and the hostess podium outside needs to be manned. The menu needs an update as well, this place has a lot of potential just needs to be marketed better. We would come again next time we're in town.”
