“I always love a stay at the Ojai Valley Inn!! I usually come with my husband and kids. When we visit we love the kids pool, kids club, tennis courts, bike rental and driving range. Along with the fabulous restaurants where we can see them running around while we eat. All the rooms we’ve stayed in have always been large and amazing. This trip I brought my mom and sister for their birthdays. I booked it through American Express Fine Hotels. This gave us $70 towards breakfast everyday, $100 hotel credit, chocolates in the room, 4PM checkout and a room upgrade if available. When we arrived they said they were fully booked and could not offer a room upgrade. I have always been it great rooms and expected the basic room to be the same. Unfortunately it wasn’t. It was small, had a small balcony with only 2 chairs- there were three of us, and a view of dirt. I’m not one to complain but we were there to celebrate my mom’s and sister’s birthday so I asked if we could be moved to a room that could at least have room for all 3 of us in the balcony. They were able to find a room in Shangrila and it was great. Beautiful views of the surrounding hills and a huge balcony with loungers and a table with 4 chairs. Thank you to the manager that switched our room!!! We enjoyed all the amenities at the Inn. Delicious food at the Oak and great with gluten allergy. - the night hostess and front manager were rude but everything else wonderful. We used the fitness area and attended yoga and water Pilates which we loved. We went to the artist cottage and made succulents. Really enjoyed the artist cottage happy hour with a glass of wine and potpourri. Adult pool was super relaxing and service there was excellent. As with every time I leave there I can’t wait to go back. It is an amazing resort with excellent service.“

“The coffee is so good in Ojai! I loved my caramel latte and my wife got a vanilla latte — both with oat milk. Service was sharp and friendly with plenty of gratitude for our patronage. We also tried their vanilla blueberry gluten-free scone and pumpkin loaf. They were both delicious! We sat outdoor at the tile-lined tables with iron wrought chairs and parasols—perfect for children and dogs. Inside they also operated as a bookstore and you ordered at a counter. This place is new to us and we’ll be coming back in the future.“

“We have been coming to Exotic Thai for years and the food and service have consistently been excellent! The prices have always been very reasonable as well. If you have a larger appetite, as I do, you will not be disappointed with the portions either.

“I've been here about 10 times now with my wife and kids. Tried several menu items and have always been pleased with quality, quantity and taste.
Family owned and run, the staff is very nice. This will continue to be our go to spot for lunch here in Ojai.

“Absolutely my go-to for a food and a drink in the Arcade downtown section of Ojai. The signature wings are spicy and delicious and, as broke as I am at times, still completely worth $16. For reals. The service here is fabulous, and I love supporting local brews. I'm allergic to beer but still come because they have an incredibly tasty grapefruit seltzer that sits very well with me, unlike a nasty Truly or any other crappy Pepsi/Coke brand seltzer. People at this bar are well behaved and I always feel comfortable bringing my kid here. Trivia night every other Tuesday is super fun. I just love this place.“

“First off, one of the only places in Ojai that had INDOOR seating with AC. Every restaurant we went to all had patio seating. It was 107 degrees. Who on God's green earth wants to melt outdoors while eating!?!?

I ordered 2 tacos plus some sort of open face burrito. The tacos were very good with lots of meat...gear those for sure. The beef and chicken were both tasty. The open faced burrito, I forget the name of the dish. I didn't like it at all.

The decor is pretty awful and dated. Could use an update. Take most of the tchotchkes off the walls, fresh pain on the walls, update the tables and chairs, and this could be a much nicer Mexican restaurant.

You have something most places don't have indoor real estate for people to eat inside to get away from the heat. Also very easy to make a simple Margherita you can offer customers and boost sales.“

They were out of all sorts of food and beer, this really miffed the young ladies behind the counter who were then charged with telling every customer that. We grabbed the food pretty quick, all three orders were outstanding. The Jalapeño Bacon Smash burger was something I will be back for.

“Came here for an early dinner as part of a girls day out last minute. A hidden gem! The food and drinks were great, service was also great, but that might be because we were the only ones in the whole restaurant. I hope they can drum up more business, especially on a Saturday night. The interior ambience and decor needs a refresh and the hostess podium outside needs to be manned. The menu needs an update as well, this place has a lot of potential just needs to be marketed better. We would come again next time we're in town.“

“The staff was very helpful. The setting was beautiful and when I asked for our table to be in a different place we were accommodated graciously. We (7 of us) were celebrating my mom's 96th birthday and lunch was a very appropriate time and place. My only complaint is that the food - though very fresh - didn't have much flavor. It was cooked and presented beautifully but needed a little more seasoning and the salad didn't seem to have much dressing. I was glad to have lemon on my plate as both the fish and salad needed it. All and all, it was close to a perfect celebration.“
