“I never write reviews, let alone for just another Starbucks I stop at...but these guys were awesome there. I ordered two of my same drink I get at every Starbucks and it was made just wayyyyyy sweeter than normal and I ordered 2 but only got one. I told them I ordered 2 and the barista (Filip or Finn I don't quite remember what his name tag said) was super friendly on making my other one they missed AND remaking me my drink that was too sweet I felt bad as I was asking a lot, and right in the middle of him fixing my drink and making me the other one, a lady came up and complained she got too much cold foam on her cold foam drink (????) which it was a normal amount and she wasn't the nicest to him which made me feel super bad and like we were being overwhelming Just wanted to say he's doing a great job and he was overly kind to me to fix my order. He even told me at the end of it all, that if it's still too sweet he would remake it AGAIN.Great customer service and very friendly employee and I just wanted to get on here to say thanks again for helping me out and you're doing amazing!!!“
“We always enjoy getting Mountain Slice whether it's for the pizza, the ice cream, or both! Make sure to call early in the day to place an order for dinner as they get very busy and sell out. Today we ordered the tie dye pizza. I am allergic to tomatoes, so I ordered it without the vodka sauce and extra pesto. Had a little miscommunication on my end about the sauce, so when we picked it up it had a tomato sauce base. We explained what we had thought we ordered and the two guys working quickly made a fresh pie. Very thankful that they were so accommodating. The pizza was delicious with pesto as the base sauce! The dough is the star of the show. We've enjoyed both the regular style and the Detroit style pizzas here. Would love if they started doing some pizzas with other base sauces! Love that they are starting to do late nights with more arcade games, late night pizza, and beer. I think that's super fun and will draw in a cool crowd. Great option since nowhere else is open late. Go get the best pizza on the West Shore!“
“If you are in the North Lake Tahoe area and looking for a legit Third-wave coffee roaster then this is your place. I'm an avid home roaster and always on the lookout for small shops that cater to my tastes when traveling. I was fortunate enough to drop in today while the owner Drew was roasting on his trusty Diedrich just inside the door. It was a priceless experience getting to chat with him about roasting and even get his advice on my struggles to hit the City+ sweet spot with my dry process beans from Sweet Marias ?.Ok, coffee roasting geeking aside – You can't go wrong here if you want to have a solid espresso drink or a carefully prepared pour over with a choice of freshly roasted coffees from different origins. I had a perfect flat white with the house blend and tasty sample of the fruity funky Columbian they were offering pre-brewed. As you'll read in the other reviews the vibe here is chill and the service was great. If you enjoy craft roasted single origin coffee that's not too "dark" (ironically) be sure to stop by this place! Oh, and don't forget to pick up a bag of freshly roasted house beans to bring back to your coffee loving friends back home!“
“Nestled in this little strip mall next to the 7-11. It's a great spot away from downtown with parking, for a quick, easy and delicious coffee break/sweet treat. I assumed all the treats here were gluten free, but alas, maybe not? Regardless, I believe that most are and while I'm not gluten free, they were delicious. Pastries ranged from croissants, to muffins, to cinnamon rolls and more. I went with the chocolate ganache croissant and the chocolate banana muffin. My kids loved both. A bit more of a 'spongey' texture, but still so buttery and flakey. I assumed the spongier texture was due to it being gluten free. My cappuccino was more of a bitter roast than my preference. They do charge extra for plant based milk. Inside is cute. And they have a fridge with breakfast burritos to go. I look forward to trying more things.“
“tiny parking lot but yummy food!! both the french onion soup and the chicken pot pie were delicious. i didn’t get any drinks (seems like it’s just dispensed by a machine) but there are tea and coffee options available. it was lovely to sit by the fire and read/relax for a bit.“
“Avocado toast was odd, more like a packaged avocado shmear with too much oil. Coffee was good, service was also a bit slow for a coffee shop with 2 people working and 2 customers, but everybody has slow days so I wouldn’t knock them on it. Would come back for coffee and atmosphere, eat breakfast somewhere else.“
“I wanted to like it more than I actually did. It's a nice little coffee shop with a good vibe. Free wifi. In a strip mall with several other restaurants on Donner's Pass Road. Breakfast and lunch until 1 30 p.m. Extra charge for disposable containers. My 16 ounce dark coffee was weak, maybe a coffee shot for an 8 oz with 16 oz water. Baked goods were fine though and my wife liked her iced Matcha.“
“My daughter and I come in every few weeks to share a medium cup of fro-yo. We usually spend about $7-$8 with tip. We only get sprinkles as a topping so that price really is just the weight of the fro-yo which I think is pretty fair. I like that there are rotating flavors and dairy free, low fat and fat free options. The POG flavor is so tart and sour, but I like it! It's usually pretty quiet inside and there are quite a few benches outside.“
“Here's the low-down: 1. Food - There's a lot of attention to detail here; there's fresh baked bread, there's Gumbo made daily, there's fresh fries. This is not a place that embraces canned / frozen foods. The medium rare burger I had was perfect with fresh fries and (seemed like) a freshly baked bun. My one complaint was the first cup of coffee; it tasted a little burned, but we were there late in the day. Also, I'd have rather seen a smaller menu featuring only what they do best, but that's my preference. I did not hear any complaints from anyone else while I was there. 2. Service - It was busy, and it's a coffee shop; you're not here to have a Maitre d' experience. You're going to get the friendly coffee shop vibe that borders on overly familiar. If you're not used to this, it might feel uncomfortable, but stay with it, you'll expand your horizons. 3. Ambiance - Wagon train doesn't try to be what it's not; it's a coffee shop with some fantastically crafted food. It feels like a locals-only gem despite its location in the middle of the downtown area. This is a rare gem where corners are not being cut; this kind of place is rapidly becoming a lost bit of Americana, definitely get in there and taste it while you can.“
“Stopped by when we were in Tahoe and we wanted some coffee. The shop was super cozy and had cool decorations throughout. It was fairly busy and cramped. We got some coffee, cookies, and fruit smoothies. We loved the smoothies the most. The staff were very friendly and checked on our group which was nice. It's a great location by the lake and will stop by next time we're in town.“
“Found this place just randomly looking for some quick bites off the freeway. Walked in and first thing I see is a table full of yummy goodies like muffins, pastries and such. The place was busy which is always a good sign. I was greeted promptly and asked for a blueberry muffin to go. The offered to heat it up with butter...oh yeah! A very warm fresh delicious blueberry muffin with melted butter on a frigid winter morning was exactly what I needed to hit the spot. Price point was good and also a nice clean restaurant and bathroom. The folks there were very friendly and enjoyed nice conversation.“
“Came in for coffee and a snack before driving out of the area. Wasn’t expecting to have some of the best baked goods I’ve had in quite some time. The chocolate chip cookie was perfection. The carrot cake cookie was so moist. Coffee tastes good, service was friendly. Would come back if we’re in the area again.“
“The superior coffee option at Northstar! Pros - free WiFi, limited but available seating every time I came. It's technically a coworking space that is shared with the real estate office located right by the guest drop off area. - clean bathroom (single person only) - quiet ish. Lots of remote workers. - super super friendly service! - breakfast frittata was better than expected. Cons - Ceremonial Matcha was not my favorite - Vanilla latte was pretty good but disappointed that the 8 ounce is one shot only - pastries were super fresh baked in Truckee, I did not really enjoy the flavor of the croissant though (I think the butter they use). - wish they had more food variety similar to the other locations“
“Amazing ambiance, amazing art, great people, great chai, great vibes. They have 2 all gender bathrooms with one being accesible, and have free wifi. They are also running an earth month campaign during April where you get $0.50 off when you bring your own cup, as well as offering 20% off all retail mugs and tumblers.“
“Finallyyyy I found you! I have been on the hunt for WildFlour Baking Company because of the positive reviews I have heard from many guests around Squaw Valley. The hype is real. The cookies? Delicious. The EM Taco flavor?!? Amazing! It's an english muffin stuffed with tasty ground beef, taco flavor of course! WildFlour is a delicious bakery that also offers breakfast items and lunch sandwiches. If you are in the area, make it a point to come visit and try everything you can!“
