“My husband and I have been regulars for years. Our favorite drink has always been the Oreo green brûlée milk tea. We like the crunchy Oreo bits, cream flavor, hint of floral green tea, and soft boba.

This latest visit on Saturday night,
the boba was soft and mushy rather than chewy/bouncy as previous visits. Not sure if it was a one off situation.

They’ve transitioned their Fivestars points system to a new rewards system. We noticed our points were not showing, but after contacting the posted email address they retrieved and added the missing points.

Parking is always easy and plenty and the A/C in the store is always strong which are pluses.“

For the most part I'm a Thai tea kinda person and the Thai Tea Blossom is ALWAYS on pint and add the Sealt Creme..... its heaven in a cup. The staff has always been good and the art does blow me away, some of these people should be doing comics, manga or cartoons. “This is a wonderful family-run boba shop. The owner is always super friendly. They make their drinks to order, instead of pre-mixing them like other shops. And I appreciate that I can get my drink with regular milk, instead of non-dairy creamer being the only option.“

“I eat too much pizza and its become hobby of judging pizza independents. He said it would it would be ready in 10 minutes and it was. Pizza was amazing for the price point. Hospitality grade was beyond what I would expect from a small pizza establishment. Gentleman at the counter presented my pizza my like a fine wine ordered in a restaurant. Offered ranch at no charge. Offered cheese and peppers. Plates and napkins were provided without request. I approve of this fine establishment.“

“If I hadn’t parked to walk over to Lux Spa, I probably would’ve never noticed there’s a Happy Lemon in the same plaza.

We kept it simple and ordered the E3 Lemon Aloe Yakult ($6) and E1 Green Tea Yakult ($6). I make lemon and green tea Yakult drinks at home sometimes, but somehow the ones from a shop just taste better. It honestly brought me right back to the drink stands in Taiwan. Same nostalgic flavor. I guess I just don’t buy boba and specialty drinks that often anymore because there are way too many new Asian chains opening in the U.S., and I can’t keep up.

They’re actually known for their salted cheese foam drinks and egg waffles. If we hadn’t just eaten, I definitely would’ve added one.

Service was quick and the staff was friendly. I think I just found my go-to spot when I’m craving an authentic Taiwan-style drink.

“Regardless of how many new boba places will open up, TP Tea will always have a soft spot in my heart. My first TP Tea experience happened at their Cupertino storefront and I remember how crazy and wild the line was for that grand opening. It’s crazy to think there’s over 5 locations for the Bay Area now. Woohoo!! Now, onto the drinks! I am a HUUUUGE fan of their wintermelon Tieguanyin tea. I know, it’s a simple drink that’s really hard to mess up, but for some reason, the way it’s brewed at TP Tea reigns supreme in my eyes. I also like the touch of Tieguanyin tea. Fun fact: I never knew or heard of Tieguanyin until coming across TP Tea! If you like a blend of aromatic tea notes with a hint of sweetness from wintermelon, I cannot recommend this drink enough. However, if you’re in the mood for a milk tea, I highly recommend the strawberry milk tea! It has a nice blend of milk and fragrant tea, with the acidity and sweetness of REAL strawberries. And if you really wanted to make any drink a winner, you’re going to want to add QQ noodles in your drink! I don’t know what makes it so good, but it’s definitely chewy and fun to have in your drink. “I got the Four Seasons (a white tea) milk tea, which I think is my new favorite tea base, with 75% sweetness, large boba, regular ice, and creme brûlée pudding (I thought I would get something I don’t often see as a topping). I am so happy with this drink! Service was fast and easy, I ordered on a kiosk and the drink was called out within 5 minutes! When I mixed in the pudding and boba, the drink was super sweet (which is what I wanted, but next time I should probably get 50% or 25% sweet or not get the creme brûlée pudding, to limit myself to a more reasonable sugar intake). The boba was perfectly chewy, on the softer side, which is what I prefer, with good flavor, and there was a generous amount. The creme brûlée made the milk tea taste like vanilla ice cream and caramel were mixed in. Soooo good. Thank you for a nice dessert stop! The shop is small but very cozy with a few seating options. Side note: I was happy to hear Now or Never from High School Musical 3 playing over the speakers when I walked in. It warmed my gen z heart.

This is a “no-frills” boba/milk tea vendor. Not in the “hole in a wall” sense (very clean, minimalist deco), but the options are fairly limited. Most of their products are based on “high mountain” or “mushu dragon oolong”, if I am remembering these names correctly. No “pudding” or “Oreo”, etc…

The quality is incredible. And it is consistent. The milk tea options vary from basic to flavors including black sesame and almond. REAL black sesame, REAL almond. They even have a lavender milk tea that has mildly floral and not overwhelming taste. None of these artificial colors either. The milk tea uses real (powdered) milk, so it is not diluted and full of stabilizers that affect quality.

The fruit teas are also wonderful, for something milder. Again, the flavors taste true to their namesakes, and I’ve had almost all. Recommend the basil seeds for your fruit teas! Most of my caffeine for work comes from this shop. Cannot recommend enough.“

“Love our experience at Eightfold Tea Shoppe this past weekend. The girl working was very efficient and was straightforward with us letting us know that the drinks were going to take a little bit longer than usual as there were several orders ahead of us and she was the only one at the moment. It was definitely worth the wait, the drinks were made to perfection; good balance with the tea taste and sweetness. We ordered the Earl grey cheese cream and mango swirl.

2. Why are syrups full of artificial flavors? e.g RED40 in the strawberry!? That stuff needs a warning label in Europe but here we lap it up like a pig plunging into slop. Probably a supplier issue- but surely spend a little more and get some better quality ingredients?
I ended up with a tea, and sure enough it was sweetened… can’t get away from all the sugar. I’ll try the black tea next time- maybe that’ll be sugar free!

“We stopped in here after our visit next door at Dong Hung Vien. We picked up teas earlier down the street that were literally disgusting with old tea and flavor. Helen helped us today and made us the most delicious Lychee and passion green teas. The tea was very fresh, fruit flavor right on and the sweetness st 25 percent was perfect. Thank you Helen for making our visit so nice and we look forward to stopping by again .“

You're able to adjust sweetness level of the drinks according to your personal taste as well which is nice. Decent parking available but limited during rush hours. In my humble opinion, Umacha is my favorite place to go to for quality tea and flavorful boba. Had double banana coffee.

Solid offering. Foam being the trend right now, is subdued and subtle than other micro high end places.

Little too sweet for my liking but the bitterness of the coffee balances it out nicely.

IDK if I would go out of my way to come, but it's I'm in the neighborhood I'm dropping by.

I hope this place succeed competing against da vien and cortado.. which have been my go-to.

“If you want a delicious matcha In OC i would say OMoMO is on the top of the list. We always order the omomo matcha and it was great.
The only thing you need to consider here is the line would be long because people really love the spot but this branch on brea is not that crowded than other branches and be careful with the cover its pretty sharp so we mostly request for a plastic cup to cover the edges.Still 5 star for me“
