“Absolutely hit the spot! We ordered the chicken katsu and the barbecue chicken & beef combo, and everything was fantastic. The chicken katsu was perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and paired so well with the sauce. The BBQ chicken was tender and full of that sweet, smoky flavor, and the beef was just as delicious - super flavorful and cooked just right. Portions were generous, the food came out hot and fresh, and it really felt like comfort food done right. Definitely coming back next time we're craving Hawaiian barbecue!“

“Out of every single sushi I have tried, not a single one fails to disappoint me. Their crab meat is the best and it does not get better than theirs. Such low prices for VERY high quality and savory foods. Their poki bowls are the best too. Hot warm rice mixed with fresh cold seafood goes perfect with any weather. Especially when it is so savory and refreshing. The prices are shocking for how high quality their food is. Regarding prices, this place has the best seafood out of every single seafood place I have tried in all of Orange and in general. The variety of food is good, the small place is cute, I love the decorations, they are welcoming and their lighting is pretty, it is cozy. The people are always so kind when taking your order. When there is no one, your food comes quickly, very fast for the amount of workers.“

“This place was so fire, I literally rushed onto my phone to leave this review. I ordered a takeout bowl off of uber eats while visiting Anaheim and I’m pleasantly surprised with my choice. I had ahi tuna, spicy salmon, albacore crab salad, sweet corn, cilantro, eel sauce, crispy onion, spicy ponzu and cucumbers… I’m in heaven! The nachos on the side really took it to another level. Will definitely order here again when I’m in town“

“Shootz is sooo good. I usually get the katsu chicken sandwich and spam masubi. The portion is kinda big and the quality is consistent. One of the best places to eat at rodeo 39! The chicken sandwich is so crispy and the spam masubi has a crunch at the top which makes it so yummy.“

“If you’re looking for freshly cooked food, stop here. This place is a little shop hidden in a shopping center. It wasn’t crowded on a Saturday afternoon about noon when I entered. The gentleman immediately asked if I wanted to order while he put together another order. As I reviewed the menu, I ordered chicken bowl and some soup. The food took a little bit of time to get but I was okay knowing that my food was cooked to order. The gentleman did mention that I could call it in before picking up. The price was about $14 to $16 per item and we got it to go. The food was extremely hot so be careful handling. The only thing I would look to change would ask for the teriyaki sauce be separated as the rice soaked up the sauce leaving my chicken a bit dry…. but still tasty. They even give you little candies and I also received a punch card for future orders which was fun and will be returning.“

The rest of their food is solid, though after multiple times I'd say the chicken is consistently on the dry side (sauce does help).

Service is generally friendly. Atmosphere is a bit on the light side (meaning not a lot of depth)... We always just do pickup.“

“Came when it wasn't busy. Shared a large poke bowl between the 2 of us which was plenty of food. We ordered salmon, tuna, albacore, and tempura shrimp as our proteins and liked that they offered seaweed salad, mango, mandarin, tamago, edamame, ginger, smelt egg as toppings.
It was a little warm when we stayed indoors to eat. They also had outdoor seating.“

“I come here often since it's near my work. I really wanted to post this review so I can show everyone how great my bowl looked. I got a small bowl but the worker packed it so well. Chef's kiss! The service here is fast. Even if they are working on online orders, they make sure to tend to the customers in person first. Everyone is sweet too and they give you extra sauce in the side if you ask.

I've eaten inside a few times too and the ambiance is fine. Definitely recommend if you are so the area“

Reminds me of a NYC Automat only a 21st-century interpretation with self-service menu ordering terminals, no coin or currency, smartphone updates, and access to retrieving your order from numbered/lettered lockers. Very clean, fast service, and no on premises dining. Many restaurants and foods are featured. Location is in a light industrial area and well traveled. I recommend you try this place.“

“The food is really great, the portions are great as well. However, the issue I have with this place is that we placed the order on the phone and confirm with them that it will be ready in 10 to 15 minutes which is when we would arrive.

Then they didn't start the order until we arrived there and paid for the food. If that's their policy, they should have told us that and we would have gladly paid over the phone.“

However, there was a kind young lady who was able to help us in German with a name something along the lines of Jessi, and she was very helpful, especially for my friends who can't really speak English well. “Aloha Hawaiian BBQ in Santa Ana off Bristol and Memory Lane is the best Hawaiian barbecue in all of Orange County, hands down. Everytime I have been to this location the food I received was absolutely delicious and freshly made. The portions they serve are extremely generous, so much so that they have used tape to keep the lid from opening up on multiple occasions. Also, their two item combination plate can easily feed two people. Personally I have never been able to finish an entire meal by myself even when I was starving, leaving me with enough leftovers for a decent sized second meal. If you have never had Hawaiian BBQ before I strongly recommend that you try the Katsu Chicken and the beef plate. Make sure you don't forget to load up on the katsu sauce they have on their counter or you will really regret it. Since the food is freshly made to order it can take a bit for your meal to be served, so if you're short on time be sure to call it in before hand. Oh, I almost forgot to mention the macaroni salad they offer as one of their sides is a must have. Honestly, you should really consider ordering extra because the portion provided with your meal is definitely not enough to satisfy you once you get a taste of it.“

“Solid Hawaiian BBQ joint. Chicken, beef, pork, and katsu on the menu. The combo plate gives you a taste of everything and weighs like 5 pounds… perfectly cooked cabbage and macaroni salad. I got the chicken katsu which was appropriately thin and crispy with our being dry. Good curry sauce and it has potatoes!! Will definitely eat here again and work my way thru the menu. They have limited seating at the Irvine location on Barranca. Friendly service. Clean restaurant. A++“
