My senior mom enjoys her trips to Europa and my 20-something niece surprised me saying she pops in there on her way home to Hayward after she visits me. Multigenerational favorite! Parking: plenty of space in the BevMo back lot but requires taking steps up to restaurant. Front entrance is ADA accessible/street level with angled parking at curb, can be limited.“

We we rather disappointed recently when we called to make reservations for 4 for lunch on 2/25/2022 and were informed they only take reservations for 5 or more. Is this true ? “Loved my birthday dinner tonight! Portions small for the prices in our opinion. A scallops main dish with 3 scallops is small. Drinks were amazing, decor fabulous and great service. My son had to go eat more food afterwards as he was still hungry. Bigger portions would be good. Loved everything else! Great choices, appetizers, main dishes and creative drinks were delicious. Kind of surprised knowing they knew it was my birthday that they didn't offer me a birthday "something" to make it special. For these prices I would expect something.“

“I have been seeing this place since they opened a while back. So I finally gave it a try and I got the hot boy sandwich. And I can definitely say this is by far one of the best sandwiches I have ever had! And for such an amazing price!
If you love sandwiches but can be somewhat finicky about them like me, this is the place to go!

I got a side order with my entree. Hers was a small bowl and mine was a large one; each was $7. Odd. But, in the end, we both very much enjoyed our good and nice service.“

“Really liked this spot. I like the ordering system. I was greeted warmly by the two employees I initially had contact with. I had the biscuit breakfast sandwich, very filling and the biscuit was so good. I had one pancake and man was that delicious! The parking is also a plus. “I love going to Duo Grill for brunch. They have really good food, the service is great, you get your food right away and it's never crowded. Honestly, it is such an underrated place.

I had the fiest omelette, which comes with a side of sour cream, pico de gallo, and a wonderful medium hot sauce. It was a wonderful combination of tastes. The hash browns were perfectly golden and the toast was warm and buttered. My coffee cup was never empty and the service was really good. Love the wood interior It feels like a Tahoe restaurant. Good ambience and five. There are a few tables out front on the sidewalk. If you haven't been here you definitely should give it a try.“

My bride had the turkey sandwich and loved it. But the star of the show were the Tater Tots. Perfectly crisp with BBQ sauce to dip them in and then into some wonderful real bacon bits. Every tot stayed crisp from the first to the last. The meal was worth every penny and more. Get into the Alameda location and try it. You won't be sorry. PS: The only bad part for me is that we live in Seattle and won't be back down until May. But you can bet I will be eating here then.“

I think the cooks are overly generous with salt. Both our brussel sprouts and the scallops were really over salted. Next visit we will be sure to order low/no salt, and send back anything that's too salty.“
