“The banchan was delicious and plentiful. We had mud fish soup and it was yummy. We also ordered kimchee dumplings thinking they were vegetarian but they also had ground pork. Very modern inside, hip and trendy. Menu is super pork centric, so if you love pork, you’re set!“

“Really lovely restaurant serving macrobiotic vegan food. Perfect for those following the whole foods/plant-based diet. Their food is fairly low in salt, which I really appreciated. They do use small amounts of oil. They are so kind and welcoming. What a great spot to get something akin to what my health-conscious family eats at home. Very welcome and comforting to encounter this kind of food while traveling. I also love that they offered local kombucha from Koast kombucha, a brand I didn’t encounter anywhere else on my trip.“

“Awesome to have a quick, clean, and tasty Indian restaurant in town. Pani puri, malai kofta, and garlic naan were all great. This is quick and easy North Indian fare. Service is exceptional and while busy, I didn’t have to wait for a table for 1. If you are looking for Indian food in Berkeley, this is a solid choice.“

“Their pho combo is great for introducing someone to tripe and tendons or for converting someone that typically hates it. It seems cleaner there or that they trim off the less enjoyable parts. The soup is aromatic, not greasy and clear.
Rice plates and rolls are great.
GET THE PANDAN WAFFLE.
They also have a Street Fighter 2 cabinet.“

“We got the cold Sichuan spicy noodle, fried beef & Ho Fun, and pork soup dumplings with Thai tea. The food was amazing, definitely recommend getting a cold and hot dish, and the dumplings are very creamy and packed full of soup. The Thai tea could be stronger, but overall still 5 stars!“

“Really enjoyed our visit!
Maybe family run? They seem to speak Cantonese and Mandarin.
The herbal soups were good! We tried #8 and #11 chicken with ginseng. Both tasted healthy but I think I preferred #8 a little more. The soups are in the little cylindrical ceramic containers and make a good appetizer/side dish. Fun to get as a part of one of their special combos.
The special dim sum of garlic clams was tasty and pretty fresh. Excellent value for $6.50!
Enjoyed the sticky rice too - well balanced flavors and not overly salty.
The beef tendon with noodles was tender and had a good texture. A smidge salty for my taste but flavorful and a good size.
Fast & friendly service - there was a bit of confusion about how many soups we ordered but got it sorted out.
The bathroom seems to be upstairs so might be a challenge if there are mobility limitations.
Look forward to trying other dishes next time!“

“I love Pho Vy! The environment is always very friendly and welcoming. Mom and pop shop located in Little Saigon. They have off menu items along with their variety of goodies on existing menu. My go to’s is their bun bo hue, bun rieu, bo kho, rice plates and all of their appetizers. Always a supporter of local mom and pop shops.“

“I ordered the chicken noodle and tomato soup to be delivered. The soup was very good, but the bread was NOT sour dough as expected, it was a cut in half hoagie roll...yuk! This was a HUGE disappointment as I only eat sourdough or dark rye bread. Esp in the bay area where Sourdough is the go to. You need to serve what you say you have. This kind of stuff drives me crazy. It is as if the customer is not going to know...not good!“

“The best German food in Berkeley. Anja is the warmest, kindest, and most caring chef in the world! She and her team turns out pastries that are not too sweet, and her dishes are always sourced locally to be the freshest! I can always count on Anja’s to walk out with a smile :)“

“Very good pho. It’s delicious and doesn’t make me tired after eating it. My girlfriend loves the shrimp cakes here, they are so generous with their portions compared to other places! And the service is super friendly. Really picky about pho’s but I been coming back to this spot constantly.“
