“Don’t let the outside fool you… it’s a charming little Italian feel inside with the sweetest hospitality (young woman with butterfly tattoo/hat was extremely caring about her job and the customers).we were going to order “to go” but it was so quaint inside we decided to stay. The best part was the food! The calzone was the perfect texture of cooked dough, thick cheese, perfect sauce and overall just melted in my mouth with goodness! Also got a fresh salad and a barbecue chicken flatbread which were just as rave worthy! It was nice to step away from the busy Cannery Row vibe to enjoy a great meal experience. Wishing I was a local to enjoy never ending chances at good Italian food!“

“Hands down the best hummus around. Homemade pita bread and the rest of the food was delicious. My complaint that I did not share with the staff is that while we were eating, even though the restaurant was fairly empty, they seated a group of 4 just a table away from us. Unfortunately for us, one of the two ladies must have bathed in the entire 55 gallons her perfume came in.“

Thin crispy crust, cooked all the way to the center. (This is a must for me!) Toppings were cooked to perfection. The amount of toppings was generous. My tastes buds were extremely happy with the flavor! I had pepperoni and red onions, my bestie had the fig and prosciutto with hot honey, which sounds like an unusual combination, but I tasted it and my taste buds approved this one also.

Service was a 10. We were greeted by the chef in the kitchen, as we walked up! Then by a server, then by the server that would be ours, Casey. He was very personable and took the time to actually visit with us for a short time and get to know us.

We chose to sit outside in the gorgeous weather, so I can’t tell you about the inside, but the outside tables were very clean and the chairs comfy to relax in.“

“While in Monterey I was craving pizza. Looked up reviews. Came across Gianni's. Right when I walked in a felt the 1974 vibes. It felt special. Ordered a Medium Gianni's Special and a Meatball sandwich. Belissimo! They were divine. So crispy, light, and my taste buds were lit up! So excellent ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“We have been going to Heirloom Pizza a few times a year for a while now and have always enjoyed great food and good service. This was until last night. The food was still delicious and the server was good. That was the limit of a good experience. The hostess had a look that we were bothering her by wanting to eat there. We arrived about 7pm and they were busy, but it only took about 10 minutes to be seated. We ordered fairly quickly and then waited for over 50 minutes to have an appetizer to reach our table and another 25 minutes for our main dish. By the time we received our appetizer the restaurant had only 5-6 tables with people still sitting. We understand that it takes a little longer for a deep dish pizza, but well over an hour in unacceptable. In the 50 minutes we saw no less than a dozen or so orders go out the door for pickup orders. I understand they sell pizza and there is likely a large amount of business that doesn't come an stay to eat, but we felt forgotten. If we choose to go back, maybe we should order before arriving.“

“This is honestly the best pizza in Monterey, everything’s really balanced and it’s worth the price. I got the curry veggie pizza, it’s the perfect blend of Indian food and pizza! I don’t know how to explain to you in words how good this is. It put my faith back in pizza.

“This is a hidden (unfortunately) gem. If you know pizza (and no offense, many Californians don't) this is the best in the area, hands down. Great crust, fresh toppings and the standout that so many places here get wrong is the sauce. Perfect flavor profile of herbs, richness and a hint of sweetness. Beers on tap and other Italian foods (the calzones are on my list to try) are available. Please support the best pizza in the area!“

“Spectacular pizza; super kind and thoughtful service! Our pizza was delicious, clearly made with care, generous on toppings, and arrived on time (we ordered for delivery). They saw we were staying at a hotel and even included plates and more red pepper flakes and parm than we could ever use! “Attention Mod pizza lovers, this is the same concept where they build a pizza in front of you, but the crust is even better because it is structured and yummy. Immediately upon stepping in, we were greeted with multiple hellos and welcome in’s- that always makes an experience better from the start! After they had put my pizza in the oven, I realized I hadn’t added the crushed garlic and I briefly mentioned it to my boyfriend next to me. The employee heard me and immediately offered to add it and insisted on it which was so kind. As for the pizza, it was delicious- I had a vegetarian pizza, the roasted broccoli topping is the best. The bathrooms were impeccable which made for an overall great experience (p.s. to the girls: there is no mirror!). One of the best parts was the design of the place, as well as the atmosphere. The tall ceiling and windows made the space roomy and “fresh”. The chill indie beachy guitar music made us feel like we were relaxing by the beach as we watched the sun set through the large windows. As for the seating, there are many option. My favorite were the booth tables because there was a comfy back rest (pictured) and were clean. Shout out to the 7pm crew for being friendly, hardworking, and overall great workers!“

“Had a great meal and our server Jose was a pleasure. Food service was quick and as always there are options for everyone as the CPK menu is huge. I would say 1/3 of the restaurant was open at lunch, so no wait. They seemed to be staffed appropriately and this was a Monday at 1pm. No complaints and only compliments. There is outdoor seating with heaters if that’s your preference.“

“Went in towards the end of service and the staff was friendly and courteous. I ordered a BBQ Chicken Pizza and had a beer while I waited. I was on a phone call when the pizza finished and they put my Za in the warmer until I was finished. Will be back!“
